I bought this paint pen specifically to write on glass. Since it's an oil-based pen, I expected it to stay on and not wipe off easily. Fortunately, it's been very durable so far even though I handle my glass jar almost every day.I did have a bit of trouble using it initially, though. In order to use it, you need to shake it so that the ball inside agitates the oil and pigment and mixes them together. It took a while to get the ball shaking, but that could be due to lack of use. The nib also took a while to get coated in paint. I held it down on a flat surface and initially, only oil came out before the white ink.As for the writing, I was pleased overall. I had to do two (and sometimes three)coats to make it totally opaque. Unfortunately, that left some streaks. They aren't noticeable from afar, but up close they're very obvious. (See photos to see what I mean.) Sometimes I went over the lines but that was easy to clean up after it dried--I just got a sharp tool and scraped the paint off. I wouldn't recommend cleaning it when wet because it just turns into a streaky mess!Pros:- Great pigmentation for the price- Long staying power but also easy to scrape offCons:- Product doesn't always mix well- Large nib makes detailing difficult

I have just discovered paint pens. Sticky labels and other such things do not work in sheds or garages but paint pens do!I can not comment on other paint pens but this one has exceeded my expectations. I frequently write on oily and rough surfaces and have found the nib stands up really well when compared to sharpies and old style markers.I expected to get a few days use out of the pen before the nib fluffed out or the paint dried but it has lasted very well.Things I have marked include, tractor tires, oil/fuel filters, plastic storage boxes, rusty steel, rough cut wood, plastics and concrete. The paint sticks well, I have not found any surface it will not mark. The paint withstands moderate abuse when applied.I will never be without a paint pen in my workshop again.

This marker pen is just the job! Cannot comment on its longevity, as I've only just used it, but it worked fine. The nib has to be pumped to get the paint to flow (after first making sure to give the pen a vigorous shake), and then...just write! I have seen at least one comment saying it's messy, but not so within my experience. Obviously try it out first on something that doesn't matter, like a thick piece of cardboard, or some plastic of metal, to get used to the feel of the thing. It's worked very well for me. I used it on an external plastic gas meter cover, to indicate to the meter readers to open the flap on the front with a triangular key, rather than lift the whole darned cover off the wall! The white paint shows up very well.

Wanted to mark all the plastic containers in my workshop so I wouldn't have to open several before I found the tool for which I was searching! This simple marker did the trick. The plastic containers for electronic tools are generally black in colour or at least dark grey so a white permanent marker is what is needed. At first I thought it wasn't working but once I gave it a shake and got the paint to flow it worked a treat. All my tool cases are ow marked so I don't waste time searching!

Excellent silver marker pen which I use for writing long Latin names on black plant labels. So far, it seems to be lasting well out doors in all weathers and is still clearly visible. Only down side is that it only wrote about 25 names before running out. Maybe this is normal for this type of pen but I had hoped for more. But this did not stop me from re-ordering as none of the many other labelling systems I have tried has been so clearly visible or lasted so well.

If I hadn’t used chalk pens before I might think not working as per other reviews. You have to give it a good shake and pump the nib on a piece of paper until the white is visible to use.I used this to put my son’s name in everything for several days away with school (had a black one too).Inside of welly boots, shoes, luggage, waistband of dark underpants, everything.Very impressed, this worked a treat. No bleeding into the fabric, it stayed where it was put.

I use it to write some numbers in my plastic bins outside my house. I was struggling to use it writing horizontally, vertically is better but the ink did not came really well so the work was not perfect. I think it was also my fault I am not really good to design numbers ;) it seems to have good resistance, after 3 weeks under water the numbers on the bins did not deteriorated.

I overused it as a result of thinking "Oh, that's so cool!" and so it is at the end of its life. thinner than it looks in the picture. It cannot cover permanent marker ink as it just makes a weird blue colour. Also does not work as tip-ex. If you want to cover mistakes, get tip-ex, not this. This is great for writing on things that are black.Be sensible with it though.

I purchashed this item hoping it would cover ink stains on shirt pockets after trying all the usual methods of stain removal. It arrived within a few days :)) but sadly didn't cover the stains :((I gave it 5* for price.. fast delivery.. & tho it didn't do what i hoped for.. i could see it would be great for writing on fabric, which is the reason it is sold for.

Arrived a day early and upon inspection, product is well packed and the marker pen itself is plastic sealed. Took me a while to figure out why it was not working .. should have read the rtfm kn the marker itself! Once followee it only took a second to use it. On longevity, only time will tell and the frequency I will be using it.

When you get it you will need to season it & prepare for use by giving it a really good shake then pressing down on the nib onto some scrap paper....slowly the tip will go from looking grey & empty to white with ink in. Then you are free to use. Brilliant bright white coverage and seems durable. Would recommend & buy again.

For writing on metal, glass and painted surfaces. Brilliant. I am renovating a barge and it's great just to keep track of things as I go along or in the engine room when I am removing parts. Highly recommended. Just keep it with the pen lid down most otherwise it dries and you have to get the paint flowing again.

Upon receipt the tip was dry but without reading the instructions in common with all other men, I pressed down onto the tip which was clearly sprung, however still no paint. A few presses more and the paint started to flow, and I was able to label the black storage boxes I have in my garage. It's bloody good..!!

Good value, for the price. I needed a paint marker to write on slate. The slate is cut to approx. 4.5cm wide and 30 cm long with a point on one end. I use these for plant and row markers on my vegetable allotment, so I need a permanent marker, only time will tell if the writing last for the year!

Very good thus far. Followed the instructions and it worked like a charm. Took the pen out of the cellophane, pushed the nib in on a bit of scrab paper till the paint started flowing then used it like a normal pen. I've used it on cardboard and plastic (recycling bins) so far without issue.
