I find the manufacturer's descriptions of the component 'noses' of most perfumes, and particularly Tom Ford Black Orchid, to be terrifyingly complicated, and obtuse leaving the reader with a complete feeling of inadequacy when it comes to subjectively selecting a perfume spray. Making the punter feel that he or she is not equipped with the knowledge to select a perfume is not a positive marketing strategy!However, that to one side, buying this perfume without a Degree in Scentology was taking one hell of a chance bearing in mind the price, but Lady Luck was my shopping companion and I was bowled over with my 'hit and miss' 'shot in the dark' purchase.Black Orchid is an absolutely show-stopping sensational Eau de Parfum Spray,

Amazing fragrance that lasts for hours. Not just for women, men can wear and enjoy this as well. This is S?? in a bottle! Not going to be to everyones taste, but that can be said of any fragrance.The top notes take you to paradise and the dry down is fantastic. Sweet floral notes mixed with the slightly masculine. Expensive, but a real quality PERFUME, not an EDT, there is a difference.Lasts for days when sprayed on clothes. In my experience, well over a week when sprayed on a jacket. A number of large department stores sell this. I would suggest perhaps taking the opportunity of a test spray before buying, as it is rather expensive to buy blind. This one is sweet, dark and dirty indeed, suit its elegant bottle perfectly.It is quite strong. I almost sneeze every time i spray it, that's the way my body react to intense perfumes. lolAt first, I think it is too sweet and sharp. There is a lot going on in this perfume. But don't judge it too harshly, Black Orchid is one of the perfume that you have to get to know it, wear it a little more often to learn about it. Luckily, It grows on me.After I get pass the bitter dark chocolate and sharp sugar-coated orchid, The vanilla, incense, tuber and patchouli play the big role while chocolate and orchid are still there behind the curtain. I bought this half-price on Boxing Day after trying it earlier in the month and falling in love.I don't think this is for everyone, so I recommend popping into one of those big department stores just to try it before investing.At first it is strong and I don't really like it, but after a little while it turns to a decadent chypre, only to linger for hours as a woody, spicy almost smoky scent. I would recommend this to either gender who want to exude a dark, expensive, mysterious, old-fashion glamour kind of persona.I find this one lasts maybe 2/3s as long as what I tried, when what I tried lasted into 10hrs.Although I don't mind as I did get it cheaper, and it is truly delicious.

Love many of the Tom Ford fragrances. I feel this one is a heavy perfume but does dry down as the day goes on, it's very long lasting too. Not as musky as I prefer, still a nice fragrance though. I would recommend that you get a tester be for you buy as it might not be to everyone's taste. My favourite Tom Ford fragrance is "Tobacco Vanille eau de parfum" it's devine and I get lots of compliments when I wear it, it's a bit pricey so I have to save it for special occasions. :)

Whilst happy with my product purchased, I was not at all happy with the company. The product was delayed over two weeks, the company did nothing to satisfy me knowing when the product would arrive. I requested updates and compensation for the delay. After I requested they send a new product as the item was a present I was ignored. I have never had a response to the offer of compensation for the upset this caused. The product when it finally arrived was fantastic.

I love this perfume, unselfishly I bought this as a birthday gift for my sister as I think she’s old enough now to wear such a sophisticated fragrance. It doesn’t fade but mellows down from a confidence boosting aroma to a warm woody yet floral aura at the end of the day {or evening}. Would recommend this to anyone who doesn’t suit the sweetie type of scents that are widely available. Worth every penny as it lasts ages too.

I purchased the Tom Ford Black Orchid EDP Spray for a gift for my daughter, she having used this EDP Spray before and simply loves it. I had to write just to say the delivery was second to none arrived the very next. Fantastic. As a seventy year old it helps tremendously when I can shop in this way, I will use Amazon most definitely again and again. Many Thanks for the excellent service. Mrs Carol LeVine.

This fragrance is fantastic, I have never had so many people both male and female say how great it smells and asking what is it called, in fact the first time my wife smelled it was on a rep' in Tesco and she immediately said how lovely it was and asked the name, I have used nothing else since, my wife gave me another bottle today for Christmas, the best I have ever had, ten out of ten.

Been using this perfume for a few years... Get compliments everytime I wear it. I chop and change between this and another well known branded perfume. This one by far rules the roost. Lasts all day and all night. Highly highly highly recommend this perfume for a beautiful gift for someone special or if you feel like treating yourself. Pricey but worth it.

Treated myself to this perfume for my birthday as i had to ask a woman was she was wearing one night when I was out and she said this! It's smells like class and so expensive! Had so many compliments when I wear it people were even writing down the name of it lol! Spicy, warm, exotic and totally changes scent over the day! Love love love it!

I am really enjoying this perfume.Was introduced by it from ma cousin 2years ago and always wanted to get my hands on one but the price was a put off. this time I decided to just buy it here and I have no regrets.Most people I know have been complementing me every time I wear itBottle is so classic and so feminine.
