I bought this to go into a shoebox gift (for Operation Christmas Child, other Christmas shoeboxes are available!) for that extra tricky 10-14 age group, and its perfect! It's small (about 3" square, when all the pieces are flat) and it he pieces come in a little canvas drawstring bag with pictorial instructions printed on the bag. And it's difficult! It came with the pieces in the bag neatly arranged in a square, and I tried to make them into a cube... 10 mins later I finally did it and tried to put them back into the square... Just as hard!It would also be a good stocking filler for older children, or even a Secret Santa gift.
I bought this product for my daughter to help her with her NVR (Non-verbal reasoning). This product has helped her to see the individual pieces' views and also has allowed her to construct her own 3D models. So, all in all, as well as being a good puzzle to solve, the Magic Cube can also be used as an educational resource that can allow children to learn independently.
Annoying is the best way to describe this thing! It screws with your head so much! I've finished the thing a few times but even now I couldn't complete it from scratch every time. I'm pretty sure there's a few ways to finish it. Orrrrrr I could just be spinning the cube round slightly. Either way at least I can say that I've finished the thing with no help.

This is well made and fits together neatly. It comes with a cloth draw-string bag to keep the pieces in. However, four of the seven pieces are the same 'L' shape, so the puzzle is easier than if all the pieces were different. If you compare it to a soma cube the pieces are also easier to make, which makes it cheaper to buy.
I got 5 of these for a team building exercise, and I must say I was a little dissappointed with the size as it looks a lot bigger in the picture. But it went down really well, and even with 5 people trying to do it at the same time, it wasnt an issue. will defo be getting a lot out of them.
