Played this today with my 14 yr old son and my cousin. Great fun was had by all, admittedly we all play magic but that wasn't the reason. While the game is initially confusing and difficult to get a handle on we all found by the second game everyone became increasingly sneaky. Tactics changed throughout and much back stabbing and manipulation ensued. It plays very similar to a classic game called hero quest. Heroes work against each other to come out on top, summoning creatures and casting spells to bump there own abilities and hinder the opponents. If i had one complaint it would be the lack on creatures and spells but as this is the first pack with no doubt many expansions i'll reserve judgement on that.

This board game is simply amazing! I really like magic the gathering but I gave up playing ages ago because I was not happy with the business model and I found myself spending too much money on it. This game however, combines pretty well some of the strategies of spell casting with miniatures to have all the magic the gathering feeling in a self contained board game. It is also a quick game, you can play a game 1vs1 in less than an hour even on your first time. More players will take a bit more of time but you sure will play a few games in an afternoon and that is a plus for me. Thanks to that even my non-geek girlfriend loves it.

Excellent game, the gasp as I opened the box from my 11 year old son was almost worth the price alone. Played one game through and already want to play again. Loads of content, quick learning curve. Good balance between luck and strategy. great play board and nice mini's the main characters are very good the other pawns are a little less quality but would still look great if painted. Lots of scope for replays as 6 main characters plus different scenarios in the instructions. Already looking for expansions for this fab game. At this price £13.98 very very good value when compared to other board games like Wrath of Ashardalon. The latter as good as it is,

What a great game for the price! Got this on offer and just for the sheer amount of miniatures alone it is worth the price. A great introduction to the desktop gaming in the Magic The Gathering world. Not too confusing and well explained in the guide. You can be up and running in relatively short space of time. Played this for hours with my 11 year old and he really loves the battle and spell casting element. Great fun for a rainy afternoon. Recommend.

I have played this game a few times now and I think it is fantastic, it is sort of Heroscape meets magic the gathering. The game will be a massive hit if they bring out expansions quickly, so experienced gamers can build and experiment with different combinations. The game can be played in about 30 -40 mins out of the box. Buy this game if you love Minis combat games with MTG style card play. Awesome game waiting to become more greater still. 9/10

Impressive I got an amazing game that I have been dreaming for a long time. I used as a kid to play magic the gathering the card game and know I have a terrain and rules on how to move on that. My inner child is extremely happy. The only thing I would like to see if is possible to somehow do is combine the elementsI used to play a mixed black and white deck and I would like to replicate that.

Seems complicated at first, but anyone familiar with tabletop games will pick it up fairly quickly and even those who are won't have too much trouble. Straightforward and fun to play whether you're a fan/follower of the Magic series or not (I'm new to Magic and still enjoyed this!)

This is a fantastic item! You get so much for you money, loads of plastic figures and board pieces. Plenty of dice and cards. I bought this after reading all the positive reviews of this and Heroscape. I haven't played this yet but it looks and feels like a quality product.

Yes Yes Yes!All the best planned attacks in the world can be undone by a lousy dice throw!!A tremendous game even without the add-ons which will no doubt appear! The faster the better!!If you enjoy Descent & Castle Ravenloft you need to try this!Enjoy!

This is not a magic the gathering card set, this is Heroscape 2.0. It comes with a set of large boards, 3d terrain and around 25 models. Check out the Dice Tower review to see it in action. Very underhyped, and a good quality game experience.

I used this product for the minatures for a DnD campain. Perfect price just to get some minatures on the board. They are well made and look great. Havent actually played the game. But will soon .

Yes, just as simple as this, the game combines herscape and magic the gathering mechanics/logic, moreover it takes very short timr for setup, and the game itself is a quick yet full of tactics

Fast shipping, product looks great, I only bought it for the miniatures (D&D) but i can't bear to throw the rest of the stuff away just cause it's so pretty. artwork is nice too.

Incredible value for money. Hours of playtime, replayability, tactic, interesting combos... Components are very nice and miniatures are very decent. Surely a good buy!

Quality of figures not great. Game play ok. Probably a 6/10 score for the game. Gave four stars instead of three when balancing value of lowish cost vs quality.
