If you got bored quickly with Guild 2 this is probably not worth your money as it doesn't add a lot to game play. If however you've been enjoying Guild 2 this might be worth it, as it does give the game a few more options. The obvious ones are that you now have sea, (complete with 3-4 new maps) and sea trade. The official site will tell you this game adds 3 more professions, but that's a little misleading. You still have to choose to be either a Patron, Scholar, Craftsman or Rogue. It's just that some of these have extra buildings. The Patron class now has a fishing shack, which you can slowly upgrade to become a smoke house. The Scholar class gains the pesthouse, which slowly upgrades to a hospital. The Rogue class can now become pirates, with their own pirate nest, complete with `pirate wenches' who you can send into town to earn you a living in the oldest profession. There are a few changes to the council elections, but nothing major. All this doesn't actually add up to a lot, so as I said, if you got bored with Guild 2 really quick then you'll only have an extra hour or so before you get bored with this too.Be sure to backup or finish up your old save games, because they seem to vanish when this expansion is installed. All in all it's a good add-on, providing you liked the original game.
