Generously, although it's easy to miss it on the box, this Titans add-in comes with three CDs and includes the full original Age of Mythology's game as well [great if you don't have the game already, but we already did]. The game activation codes are hidden under the CDs on the back of the case insert and, once loaded, it slickly automatically updates itself in a few minutes (internet access required). My son's (aged 12) review: "In this add-on you get Atlantians and more places, and everything is more interesting than the original 'Age of Mythology' game [which is also included]. Plus you now get the Titans (Cronos, Promethean, etc...) as friends or enemies. There are new maps, new units, new god powers." Settlement house/temple/boat building and tribal warring game-play is in familiar B&W and B&W-2 territory but with the added attraction of cute mythical creatures and 'real' ancient Gods. There's a free-roam mode as well campaign (where a marauding Titan will attack you). My son really likes this game - as much as Age of Empires III, and more even than his Rome Total War and Settlers: Rise of an Empire (though the latter looks gorgeous in comparison to Age of Mythology). So this add-on is a hit in his book. The games run on anything from Windows 98/ME to 2000/XP [but not Vista]. On his fast AMD2 5000 + NVidia 7950 gaming PC, the game is very smooth and the slightly boxy graphics do look pretty good considering the games age. PC requirements are a minimal 450MHz PC, 16Mb graphics card and 128Mb system RAM (probably for Win98) - but I expect it needs better to run fluidly. That said it runs great on our Dell Inspiron 6000 laptop with its limited 64Mb integrated Intel GMA 910 graphics [2.26 MHz Pentium M CPU, 2Gb RAM]. So a really good value game set and despite it's age, plenty of playability for tribal war simulation builder fans. Plus, probably as it's by Microsoft, it runs without any crashes on his PC. To quote the cover: 'A thrilling expansion pack - a must have' [PC gamer] and 'A model on how expansion packs should be done' [GameSpy].Update 2015: This game is now also available to buy updated to HiDef graphics direct from STEAM, and this new game runs fine under Windows 7 (unlike this older version on CD).

If you haven't played AoM before, then you've missed out. If you've played the origional, titans is more of the same, just times everything by 10. The campaign is excellent, following Arkantos's son. It also includes all the old faces from the origional age of mythology campaign. The atlantean civilivation is excellent. Unlike many expansion packs the new civilization is actually very different to play, and not just a re-skin that provides more of the same. The ability to turn any unit into a hero makes a big difference to tactics, as does having villigers which don't require drop points. All of the three different atlantean gods are satisfingly different as well. Each god has a very different 'ability',completely spererate from their god power. Kronos lets you move buildings arounf the map, Oranus lets you build portals to speed up your units and gaia has buildings which heal. There should be something to suit everybody's play style. The multiplayer is also good fun, the only slight problem is that the games are a little too long and you don't always finish in one sitting. However there are still plenty of people who play the game, and you can save your multiplayer matches for a later date. The thing that makes Titans a must buy for me though, is the massive improvments to the scenario editor. It's possible to very easily make your own little campaign, to rival that of the main game. It's also possible to download tools which further improve the editor and there is a big community of people who make campaigns for age of mythology who'll help your inner game designer flourish. If you get tired of the titans campaign (which is admittidly no-where near long as the origional campaign) there are also plenty of other campaigns available online to download. Because the game ahs been out for ages, people have come up with ways of using the scenario editor that it's creators probably never imagined. Some of the things available out there for download are simply astounding and go above and beyond anything included in the origional game.

First let me tell you how much I love this game, after buying the original several years back I regret waiting so long to buy the expansion! I have many fond memories of the time I have spent on the game, and the soundtrack (after listening to it countless times) is enchanting. Deep inside the game are some mildly complicated strategics which can keep you busy for hours, however at the same time it can be a very simple and easy going game (on certain difficulties settings) where you are still able to win without much forward thought. I think it is also worth mentioning that the game includes a lot of mythology and history about characters, units, gods and locations in the game which can be interesting to read through.(please note that this is optional and there is no requirement to read / learn mythology)However, I am less than pleased with the product itself, I'm sure something went amiss. The box had a different cover than what was shown, only one disc (which contained both games) and no instructions what so ever. I can happily live with that, but that's not the problem. The problem came when I was installing the game and it asked me for a product key, which was not contained in the box. I'm not new to games such as this and I know when there is a missing product key (yes i have checked under the disc). However being the impatient gamer I am, I went onto the net and found a free product key that worked. I know people might be skeptical and say that I must have simply overlooked it, but 3 other people have checked it and there is no key! Admittedly it did not take long to find a solution on the net but I payed for a key and I expected one.To quickly sum up, apart from what I assume to be some kind of (hopefully one off) packaging error this is a great product which I would strongly recommend to anyone.

These games were designed more for Windows 95, 98 and XP. Still work in XP Mode on Windows 7, but I'm not sure about Windows 8 or 10.These were based upon the Age of Empires game strategy of collecting resources, building up your civilisation and military, while competing against either the AI of the game (from 1 to 4 opponents or an alliance with one other character to compete against 2 other characters), either progressing through the Campaigns offered or on random maps. You could then go onto the Multiplayer online games as you gained confidence. It may seem a bit slow going for those more used to the faster games, but it still has a loyal following with forums offering help, support or additional features available. If your system supports it, then it is an enjoyable way to pass the hours without reaslising how long you've been playing.Of course, with it now being an older game, it is available at a more reasonable price too!Read full review...

I would like to echo the comments of a previous reviewer, and note that this game comes complete with the original Age of Mythology game as well as the Titans expansion pack. Very good value. The game is fantastic, and due to its age should work on most PCs and laptops (my laptop is far from top-of-the-range, but ran the game seamlessly). Following the general format of previous age of empire games, this game will keep you entertained for hours and hours. Its often said that a truly great game needs to be easy to learn and hard to master - that sums this game up perfectly.

Played the game as a kid and loved it so decided to buy it, there was an update after the simple installation which allowed me to play the game without the c.d ROM. using a reasonably good laptop running windows 7, this game is just as good as it was 10 years ago. the expansion pack means there is more of a storyline and means there are more scenarios to play. delivered on time and packaged properly. what's more to say?

I bought Age of Mythology: The Titans expansion pack for my son, who already has the full Age of Mythology game. to my surprise this pack comes with the full original game included, I thought I was just getting him an add-on. The Titans game is full of exciting new features and now my son spends far too long on the computer playing his favourite new game.

It's quite an old game now but still very entertaining. The original Age of Empire series was good, Age of Mythology took the game to a new level and the Titans Expansion improves upon that even further. My son plays the game for hours on end and loves it. I would recommend it to anyone enjoying strategy style games.

This expansion builds on the age of mythology game, adding new units, the biggest and baddest of which are the titans which you can control for mayhem and destruction. If you like the original, this is a must buy!
