This is a very interesting fragrance. I tried a small splash when it first arrived and had two observations1) Wow this is strong2) I smell like I belong in an old peoples home.Oh well, send it back I thought. Anyway, With a busy evening ahead, I rushed out to see friends. By now the odour had calmed down a bit and the first reaction I got was " you smell nice"! What a lovely friend I thought. Being polite when I clearly smell like I've just bought a dirty suit from a charity shop.Next morning, I can still smell this stuff on me ( yes it really does last) and actually changed my mind. I quite like it I thought. That was even after a nice hot shower from which I emerged still smelling of it.So,

Sophisticated, manly, elegant... all those things that are so hard to come across in high street fashion brands, that try too hard to be too many things and usually make a male scent into something that is unisex or feminine, at a rip-off price. Classic fragrances though are becoming more fashionable again due to an increasing trend towards traditional shaving and also the fact that such scents have become more rare and distinctive in a crowd, so many will ask, hmmm... What is that? Smells expensive! Ooh you smell so manly! When you can usually pick up 3 bottles of classical scent for the price of a high street brand! Get your self a badger brush,

I purchased a bottle of Taylor of Bond St Sandalwood Cologne from a concession, in my local, up-market department store around a year ago, to help provide the finishing touch, after I'd shaved with Taylor of Old Bond St Sandalwood shaving cream.Through repeated use, I've found the sandalwood cologne to be a truly good, old fashioned, masculine fragrance, whose powerful notes continue to linger for a number of hours following application.There's not really a lot more I can add, other than to say that the Taylor of Old Bond St Sandalwood Cologne is a true gentleman's fragrance.

This is a odd one. I bought this after a discussion on sandalwood fragrances on one of the internet forums I visit. I bought this really out of curiosity. It smells of something old and traditiojnal but comforting. A bit musky in a good way. It's a bit like the classic Pacco Rabbane Pour Homme(green bottle) not so much in the way it smells but in the mood it gives. I don't use it often but I'll occasionally reach for it if I'm after something warm, familiar and comforting. It's not for everyone but I enjoy having it as an option in my set of fragrances.

TOBS Sandalwood Cologne; It doesn't smell particularly exciting when you sniff the bottle, but once on the skin... Oh my! This is a wonderful 'old school' classic that oozes quality, sophistication, and pure class. I love it, my girlfriend loves it, and when I'm out and about it draws compliments. A little of this goes a long way and the scent lingers for a good few hours afterwards. You could wear a trendy modern fragrance and smell like a bloke wearing perfume, or you could wear this and smell like a man.

Sandlewood has been one of my favourite smells for a long time, this does not disappoint, with most colognes or Eau de toilette I use or have used it needs 10-15 minutes to settle on the skin then the subtlety of the sandalwood becomes apparent. As for longevity well if I use it in the morning the smell is still there well into the afternoon. It remains on my shirt etc and can be still smelt the next morning. I note the price has gone up a couple of quid since I bought it about a week 10 days ago.

Just picked up a bottle of this and the shower gel. first thing that springs to mind is old school. Im 30 and wearing this made me feel 'traditional' its hard to quantify that but I enjoyed the fact that others must have thought I smelt like a bloke who breaks from the norm of overpriced dross alot of 'designers' think we should smell like.. very linkesque or like an old ladies bedroom. overall i am happy with this purchase. will see how it wears

My son bought me Taylor's shaving soap and I liked that so much that I bought their cologne to go with it. My wife loves the smell and I feel suitably refreshed after using it. It is quite subtle scent and not as overpowering as some that are on sale now a days. Perhaps I should point out that I am an older man, so would lean towards a more traditional smell, but if it's classy (and this is) then age should be no barrier.

The smell is truly stunning, my first try it didnt seem to last, l tried on the second day it didnt last again, but on the 3rd day it seamed to last, l think l added a little more than advised, but man the scent is not strong but just simple and pleasant, its kind of rich and spicy with a very crisp fesh hint of sandlewood, this is truly a gentlemens colonge for men who want to smell good in a classy not loud way

The price might suggest a fairly low quality product, but as with several of the Taylor products, this is punching well above its weight. A rich, creamy scent which has better staying power than some of my big-brand EDTs. This is quite surprising as a cologne would normally be more diluted than an EDT.A great bargain and introduction to a different genre of fragrances.

I brought this for my boyfriend for his birthday and he loves it. The smell is spicy and long-lasting, but not too "old fashioned." This also lasts for ages, there's more than 3/4 left after a few months of use. My boyfriend loves the Taylor of Old Bond Street stuff, and it comes it such lovely boxes which just add to the luxury. I'll definitely keep buying it for him!

I have been using Sandalwood as my signature perfume for some years now, but many of my previously used colognes and scent oils have now been discontinued, so it was a pleasure to discover this product. How much sandalwood is actually in this cologne I am not sure, but it is a pleasant, sweetish perfume, suitable for men, and which holds its scent quite well

I am very pleased with this cologne. This was the first time I have purchased and used this. I find it to be a nice cologne that I wear during the daytime. I'm not sure that I would wear it as an evening out cologne, but I really like it for daytime use. It lasts well after application, much better than some much more expensive products. I'd buy this again.

I bought the cologne along with the deodorant, shaving cream and shower gel to give a fully coordinated scent. It has a reassuringly traditional smell that seems to last well into the day. I have had no reactions or irritation from the cologne. Not directly related to the product but the packaging wasn't excessive as with many similar products.

I love this. Its lovely really nice smell. I just recently bought the same shaving soap. Ive never used TOBS before but this has it for me. Forget your expensive smellys this is lovely. Im going to try another different one soon. But this will take some beating for me. Its lovely. Pity they dont do a eu de toilette. Thanks amazon and TOBS.
