I replaced my Sigma 18-50mm f2.8 lens with this Tamron lens because of the image stabilisation feature, but also found that the Tamron is sharper at all apertures. The Tamron was refurbished (ex-demo)and sold by Tamron with a guarantee at £120 cheaper than a new one anywhere else online. That is what I call a bargain.

This is a great lens.nuf said.The VC is better than Nikon's, and its clear F2.8 all the way.Haven't had it off my D9o yet.Lovely piece of glass.
