Good results take a bit of practice as the thinner sections of the cake mix can easily burn. However, it is fun when the mixture rises as this produces a lovely rounded belly to the hedgehog.For our charity tea party, this hedgehog was surrounded by a litter of smaller ones which we had bought at a confectioner in Madrid. The crown on her is a miniature of the St Edward Crown. The real hedgehog is Tiggy on the day that she arrived in our back garden for release back into the wild! She is the model for our cake.
