This is a nice simple set of coloured pencils, and mostly unremarkable. They’re a touch on the thin side, so to be honest I wouldn’t currently trust these to my youngest child who might still be a little bit too rough for them, as they feel potentially breakable. A child above the age of 6 or 7 will certainly have no problem with them though. The colours are fairly gentle, and they don’t leave the boldest marks on paper. Neither are they super-mild either, but the overall result is quite subtle and refined. Don’t expect zingy, felt-tip style colour on the page. They sharpen quite well, and smartly, but you don’t get a particularly sharp point out of them. They’re certainly better suited to colouring than to handwriting words in colour. The white stripes along the sides make the pencils stand out a little when mixed in with pencils from other sources, making it a little easier to keep the set together if you want to.The colour range is a typical balance around the colour wheel, especially when you realise that the pink is tucked in the corner initially, not visible from the outside of the pack. The yellow isn’t particularly punchy, and the lightest blue is not particularly light, and the purple is more blue than purple, but that’s just me being fussy- obviously any 12 pack of colours is never going to fully cover the whole spectrum, and for colouring in classic kids scenes of trees and animals and so on, it’s a good starter pack.Decent value at time of writing, and with good eco credentials, but just a touch on the thin side for my preference, and not especially luxurious.

These days people are ,quite rightly, a lot more aware of the impact on the environment of all kinds of things that seemed relatively harmless not long ago, plastic drinking straws and vending machine coffee cups for example. In both of those examples alternatives are now available and thinking people are making "Green" choices.Another example is pencils, for decades trees were felled to make them with barely a thought for the ramifications of deforestation , a word many had never even heard not so long ago.Stabilo GREENcolors are made using 100% sustainable FSC certified sources. FSC (Forestry Stewardship Council) certification is the gold standard for responsibly-managed,socially-beneficial and environmentally conscious forest management. As well as being environmentally sound the pencils are excellent for their intended use. Inside the sturdy and colourful box you get 12 pencils with a good range of colours. They feel a bit different to the usual colouring pencils, almost more like thin wax crayons.Stabilo is an established and very well-respected company who specialise in pens and pencils and have a reputation for excellent quality. You can buy cheaper colouring pencils than these but you get what you pay for and the £3.54 for this set of 12 quality pencils is very good value, not least given their Green credentials.

This is a box of 12 good quality, already sharpened, hexagonal-barrelled colouring pencils that lay down a reasonably strong layer of colour, without too much pressure, in my experience. In the STABILO trademark ‘stripe effect’, the elegant pencils are comfortable in hand and feel slightly flexible on the ‘point’.Being on the softer side, the cores do wear down relatively quickly, but the pencils sharpen up well with a good quality, regular-sized hole pencil sharpener, albeit with a bit of residue (image below refers), also in my experience.ooOoo~ STABILO®~ ‘GREENcolors’ COLOURING PENCILS12 ASSORTED COLOURSPRODUCT REF: 6019/2-12‘Made in EU’✏️ ‘STABILO GREENcolors ~ FSC® certified ~ colouring pencils: core diameter 3 mm,hexagonal shape with matt coating.’ooOooThe 12 are simply presented in a cardboard box that measures around 8.5 cm x 20.5 cm (including the point of sale hanger) x 0.75 cm and are the colours you would generally expect in a selection this size, namely:~ GREY~ BLACK~ BROWN~ LIGHT GREEN~ DARK GREEN~ LIGHT BLUE~ DARK BLUE~ YELLOW~ ORANGE~ RED~ PINK~ PURPLEThere is a tiny colour swatch of each shade on the front of the box (image below refers). Also available in a set of :

With a 6 year old you can never have too many colouring in pencils so I was happy to give these a try. Mostly we use twistables as they are strong and don't need sharpening but we do have a few sets of colouring pencils as well, of different designs. These are hexagon shaped and the ridges are lined with one which gives them a retro look. The ridges make them easy to hold, and the colour is good and clear without pressing too hard. If I had one criticism it would be that the purple is not that dissimilar to the dark blue, but apart from that they are nice colours.

These 12 pencils cover the range of primary colours plus a grey and black. They cover the paper well and leave a slightly shiny, waxy finish. The hexagonal shape is both easy to hold and stops them rolling around on shallow inclines. The 'lead' sharpens well and didn't break when being less than ultra-careful so should be a good choice for the school pencil case. They are a little more expensive than some school sets but you don't mind when the wood apparently comes from a sustainable source.

Stabilo have long been the pencil of choice in our family, the children and adults all enjoyed colouring with these pencils. They are very easy to hold, they fit well in the hand and they have a great intensity of colour which can be varied with the use of different colouring techniques. They are easy to sharpen and sharpen very well, we haven't had any issues with broken leads etc.Really great value and a lovely selection of colours.

At the time of writing this review the price point was £3,54 which is good value considering these pencils are ecologically sourced and recyclable. The wood to make the pencils comes from well managed forests as per the FSC stamp on the back indicates. Also the box is made from 80% recycled paper too. They are nice pencils to use with a soft lead and easy to hold.

A fine set of pencils, nothing out of the ordinary, completely as I expected them to perform.Sharpening them they don't fracture or grate at all, nice smooth action really. The "Green" credentials come from the reused wood they're made of, which is fine and performs okay.A good decent set of pencils, but nothing stand out.

Great set of colouring pencils, good quality and range of colours. All pencils arrived sharp with no tips broken. Smooth and easy colouring. They are called “green” pencils because they are an eco friendly product with pencils made from wood from sustainable forests and the box is made from recycled paper as well.

This a a really nice set of 12 coloured pencils. As an artist I’m pretty picky about art materials but I know and trust and love Stabilo products! These would delight either a child or an adult with a creative bent! The colours are a little waxy but they blend nicely!I thoroughly recommend them!

11.3.2020

They're pencils! Difficult to say a lot about them. It's a set of 12 assorted colours and they work ok, though I found I had to press quite hard otherwise they were quite faint. Also made from sustainable managed wood.Slightly pricey for a set of 12 coloured pencils though.

Great value 12 pack and are produced using 100% strictly controlled wood sourcing. These feel more waxy than pencil and leave a good solid colour, equally ideal for shading too. Do not scratch the paper and have sharpened well. Ideal for artist of any age or experience.

9.3.2020

This is a good set of 12 hexagonal shaped coloured pencils made from ethically sourced wood. The colours are nice and bright. The 'lead' is not too soft and sharpens well. Ideal for use with colouring books etc. Reasonably priced. Recommended.

These pencils are excellent quality and a beautiful selection of colours, they are also good value for money. The box in which they came in is quite flimsy but this isn't a big problem, it would be nice gift for the kids loves colouring.

Nice set. Able to draw fine lines with a good point or shade in at angle. Intended for granddaughter who is doing some fine detail painting, found myself doing as much colouring in of pictures.Ideal for those art books for adults.
