I bought this game to pry my son away from the dreaded Minecraft. It worked! He loves it.It's a very absorbing game. It's possible to make infinite spore creatures and vehicles etc. It will take ages to get boring. The graphics are cartoonish but nice. The sound effects are fun. It's very funny to see the reaction of your creature to various body parts and colour schemes. You actually want to please it!It takes hours to complete a full campaign. This genre of game can be deadly serious. Spore is strictly tongue in cheek.

My 11 year old son has wanted this for a long time having seen videos on YouTube, but as we've been Ubuntu users for the last 8 years there was no way he could play this. Eventually I caved and built a Windows PC, then after lots of digging and finding conflicting information around whether this would work on Windows 8.1, decided to take the £6 gamble. I can report that it works fine on both Windows 8.1 and Windows 10. Son likes it, so it's £6 well spent as far as I'm concerned.

My daughter is really enjoying this game and show no sign of losing interest after a couple of weeks. We had no issues installing or running it on our Windows 7 desktop. My only slight bugbear is that it causes confusion about some aspects of evolutionary theory, otherwise I would rate it 5. It looks likely to be of more interest to older children and young teenagers, but that is probably the primary target market anyway.

My son kept going on and on about this game, to be honest l didn't have a clue. I read the reviews, looked at videos on utube. Made sure it was suitable and then got the game for a bargin price. It works fine on windows ten, my son has been playing it non stop since it arrived and nothing about the game is cause for concern. Great game.

Bought as a birthday gift for our son. I was a bit worried at first as the case mentioned only Windows XP and Vista as compatible platforms, but it also works on Windows 7 too. He absolutely loves it and plays it every spare moment that he gets. Very addictive game and the delivery was prompt and ahead of schedule.

Great game, I'm glad I re-bought it, the lack of an instruction manual was a bit disorientating, but the in game instructions cove that, and I knew how to play anyway so, s'all good. It's a fun game, inspiring lots of creativity, EA could learn from games like spore where it isn't practically Paying to Win -_-

Rich and satisfying game, even if it does fall prey to Peter Moleneux syndrome. However, anyone who has an insight into the woes of video game development will understand the reasons for its short comings.Overall rating 8/10.***notice: do not install on current Windows Gen, it is not compatible.

Brought this for my 8 year old. It was a bit of a faff to load up on the PC TBH. After having to uninstall it twice we eventually got there. The game itself is great. You have to design various creatures & help them to survive & evolve. My son says its fun, exciting and well worth buying! :)

Went down a treat with my kids although it would not work at all on my IMAC even though the spec did say that it was IMAC compatible - I even contacted EA games for guidance with no avail. Worked well on out older PC though. The kids have been playing it for weeks now and aren't bored yet.

I lost my first copy, years ago, but recently had a sudden urge to play again. Great game! I usually enjoy EA's games. It's a fantastic concept & the UI & graphics are still good, even all these years later.Arrived promptly & packaged securely.

I love this game - although it gets a bit harder at space exploration level as there are no instructions on how not to kill animals ( keep the button pressed)You start with s single cell organism & by finding features you evolve

My sons who are 10 and 8 absolutely love this game. They have been after Spore for a while and I found this to be a fantastic deal all round.
