This is great fun for all the family (though I did lose interest a bit after discovering my wife was a natural Rubik's Race ninja), and I would happily have given this 5 stars if it weren't for 2 faults (which seem to have already been pointed out by many other reviewers). The major flaw, in my opinion, is that there is no way to pack the game away which leaves the pieces secure. Not a problem if you can ensure the box stays level, but if you use it as a travel game or the box gets knocked, then all the squares fall out and you have to sort them all out before playing. Having some kind of flip-down lid or cover would make a massive difference. The other fault is that some of the colour squares in the scrambler are easily confused (orange and yellow mainly) if the light is a bit dim, or your eyes aren't great. Or so some of the more elderly members of the family claimed after they lost.

Rubik's race is a slide puzzle game for one or two players. Divide the coloured tiles evenly, so that each player has 4 of each colour. Shake the box to create the pattern to be created in the centre nine tiles, then GO! The first to create the pattern is the winner.Really, it's just two slide puzzles with a rubik's branding, but it is a lot of fun racing each other, and the colours are bright and exciting for children. There are suggestions for Patience games in the instructions, so you don't have to have an opponent. They could have made it easier to store the pieces in the box, a drawstring bag would be a perfect addition, but apart from that, it's a brilliant game!

Bought this for my daughters 9th birthday and it was an instant hit!Its a cross between those puzzles where you have to shuffle squares around a frame to make a picture or put the numbers in sequence and a rubiks cube. You can use the random pattern generator (a little perspex box with little cubes in that make a random pattern for you to race to copy) or race to make standard patterns.Basic facts:- 2 players at a time- Both players shuffle their own squares in a race to make the same pattern- First to make the pattern wins- Can involve others by having knock-out competitions, best of three etc- Certainly gets the brain working to make those patterns quickly!

This was one of the biggest hits at Christmas, I had bought this for my 9 year old nephew, it looked good but I didn't expect it to be as good as it was, it ended up being the biggest hit around Christmas with all the adults going head to head and it's a game that is great for all ages as my 9 year old nephew won most of the adults so he enjoyed it alot.Only thing i would have liked would have been a little bag with the squares or to find out where to buy spares as before he managed to get a bag he had already lost a square, He has made a temporary one out of paper though and it still works ok.Highly Recommend this game! Great Family Fun

A fantastic, competitive game. Deceptively simple yet requires skill and sometimes luck, to win. Thought and concentration are essential, as are tactics. I discovered that if I talk during play that my son was sufficiently distracted for me to stand a better chance so now that is banned! It is true that the colours on the small cubes in the shaker are difficult to tell apart.. we just made new stickers to put on them to make the colours clearer. Don't let this put you off getting the game. We love it!

This is great fun, very competitive, requires quick thinking and fast fingers. If you move the pieces too quickly they are prone to pop out of their slots, but you get used to knowing how fast you can move. Not sure of the sturdiness of the plastic pieces and frame, but so far so good. Would highly recommend this game and could imagine a group of twenty-somethings having a tournament, as well as all ages - in our family ages 9 - 63 thoroughly enjoy playing it.

Also done and re-named `Frame It' by `Hilco'.A two player game whereby each player has a set of coloured square playing tiles and a shaker holding nine cubes. The idea of the game is to shake the large cube so that the mini cubes fall randomly, and then to `slide' the large coloured tiles to match the pattern. Harder than it looks, but a certain amount of luck is involved in how your tiles are placed blindly at the beginning.Great and addictive game!

My 9 year old and I played this for over two hours straight on a train ride. It's a game that goes so quickly that it's easy to say "just once more!" over & over. Once you get the hang of it it's quite easy & fun.Great travel game, as it's not very big, but be sure to bag up the pieces (preferably in two separate Ziploc bags, so that you don't have to sort each time) so that they don't scatter. This game has provided hours of exuberant fun.

I was surprised when my 9 year old asked for this for Christmas, as he's often glued to iPad games. He's really enjoyed playing this and has been challenging his friends when they come round. It's a simple concept, just move the tiles around to match the pattern in the shaker, first one to do it wins! On the down side, the tiles are all loose, which makes storage and set-up a bit annoying and the case itself is quite flimsy.

We bought this for our children (8 & 10) for Christmas, I think I was even more excited than they were! We had previously played with a friends, so knew we all enjoyed it. It's easy to transport, quick to set up, and comes everywhere with us. My son plays a lot of tennis tournaments, and this is a great distraction in between matches for him to relax whilst still keeping his brain ticking. A must have game for all ages!

Is something adults and children can play together (though would say age 6/7 plus). My son also played on his own, trying to solve the different patterns when the 'dice' is thrown. Only issue I had is that you have to put the tiles in the board each time you play, which with an impatient child was frustrating (though only took few minutes). Would be more worried that easy to loose a tile. Overall pleased with purchase.

So it's a good intelligent game and my six year old and I really enjoy playing it.. However my main problem is that when you pack it up as you fold it in half the squares fall out. I kind of wish it had come with a seperate box to put them in. I don't always know what to do with them. It's a shame . Apart from that it's fun.. Would definetly recommend, just make sure you've got a spare box around for the squares..

Excellent Present, my partner loves it. Its very good for problem solvers.A few items i think could need improving, mainly the shaking cube that sorts out the puzzle, could be made digital, so you pressed a button and it came out with a pattern to follow. The plastics A, could be more robust and should be able to fold away so once it is put together it stays together. (like the battleships board)

Fantastic game however the product design has not been fully thought about as you cant store the pieces easily and the middle screen doesnt stay in tact which I cant see why it need to come off just makes the set up and putting away fiddley. Would be good if it came with a bag like "scrabble" to hold all the pieces. Otherwise we really love playing the game even as one player

I love this game and so do my husband and children (age 11 & 9). It is great fun and allows you to play a few quick games without committing to whole afternoon of games.I've watched my daughter's thought process change with each game, as she improves and she is starting to win a few rounds. I love the fact that it is small and light, it'll be a winner to take on trips.
