I really like this Pen. It's weighty but not too much so, there feels like there is a nice balance to it. I like that it is angled like an old school HB Pencil and that the place where you hold it is "textured" so that you have a nice grip on it. It feels fairly narrow compared to the Parker I was using before but I got used to it very quickly and massively prefer this over that one. It's shape means that it won't roll off the table or anything and it's Black coating with Red accents and writing is cool. It's got a real 80's A-Team vibe to it.The construction is metal for the most part. I THINK the plunger is plastic however but I can't be sure.None of the paint has come off of this yet and I know people that have had them a long time and they still look like new. Even when they do wear what you will get is the metal coming through the paint giving you an awesome patina to remind you how long you have spent with the pen. I can't be sure but I think these pens used to be made of brass which this one definitely isn't, maybe the higher end model is?The pen writes nicely for sure which is down to the included nib and ink stuff but I am very happy with it. Not sure what I will change it to when this runs out but I am sure there are many option.Overall I am really happy with this pen. I bought it when it was on discount for £20 and I am not sure I would pay full price but then that's down to me being tight with money rather than value for money. I am very tempted to build a set of these with different colours but that's probably stupid however it does show how much I like them.

I own a Parker Vector and a Cross pen (not sure the model), but since those are pretty office-orientated pens I wanted to grab a more functional one. This is the first rotring I own, and first impressions are pretty good. It's nice and sturdy, have a really good muted click, and is just heavy enough to feel like you're holding something decent. The weight is nicely balanced, with a slight bias towards the front so it amplifies that weighty feeling without actually weighing more. The rotring refill it came with is pretty garbage tho, and I've already placed an order for some Schmidt 9000 easy flows. The diameter of the pen is pretty small as well, so writing for a prolonged periods of time will be taxing. But by far the most annoying thing about this pen is the rattle it makes when you write. The entire body is made from metal (yay) but that means there's nothing to buffer the refill everytime you write. The tolerance is justtt slack enough for the tip to move slightly from side to side as well. Coming from the parker and cross, this was definitely a surprise. But wrapping the taper and body of the refill with a single layer of masking tape has quieten it down.Overall, good quality, utilitarian, functional pen.

Bought this pen to go with my Rotring 600 mechanical pencil. The two items have become a stable set with my notebook!Comes in the same packaging as the 600 mechanical pencil which is a small triangle tube. The pen has a good weight to it and its hexagonal sides us rugged grip near to the nip allow easy use of the pen when wearing thin gloves.A high quality pen that allows the use of a number of refills, the Parker refills are the best!

Overall a lovely pen, nice to hold, writes well and is nicely balanced. The knurling on the end where you hold is quite fine, so it does tend to pick up fluff and dirt that is difficult to remove, but that’s pretty insubstantial. Other than that, I love it and would definitely recommend as a daily hack

Great companion to the rotring 600 pencil, but like that very slender and although this suits me, others wanting something with more heft may be disappointed. Superbly crafter from metal with great attention to detail. Writes very well. Very pleased.

Fed up of mislaying cheap ball pens I purchased this to match my Rotring pencil. A lovely thing to own and use it s developing a nice patina from being in and out of my tool bag which shows it’s durability.

It's a Rotring, you know you're getting quality when you buy it. I've used them for all my sketching with mechanical pencils and I wasn't disappointed with their pen. Comfortable, nice weight and reliable

High quality and feels like it will last. Refills will be easy to get. If you need a good engineering oriented pen then I would highly recommend this one!
