In terms of pens I have sitting on my office desk, what tends to indicate quality and comfort of use to me is how often each one gets grabbed when a pen is needed. A nice silver pen that was received as a gift now lays unused after a few initial attempts, simply because it's not comfortable in the hand. Suffice to say, the Parker has become my go-to.Initial impressions are that the pen is quite thin when compared to your standard stationery shop fare, but the brushed metal finish is very classy and the pen feels very light in the hand. Despite being metal, it does not feel particularly 'cold.'A side-effect of the metal construction is that the clicker feels a little 'gritty,'which has always been an issue of mine with all-metal pens even though it is quite difficult to solve it. The clip is the traditional Parker clip, and is quite pointed and tight. This isn't an issue for me, but may cause issues depending on what you wish to clip it onto. The cartridge is a standard blue Parker choice and ink flow is exceptional, requiring very little pressure. Thickness is medium, erring towards thick on soft paper. Unfortunately, I've noticed it occasionally suffers from some crud gathering on the tip moreso than any other daily use pens I own.Excellent control, comfortable hand feel, and effortless ink flow mean that the Parker is a superior effort. It just falls short a little on some side effects of the metal construction as mentioned above, and the material gathering at the tip. But if these things don't bother you at all, this is an excellent choice.

This slim Parker pen in the classic T-Ball Jotter profile, supplied with the Medium, 1mm tip permanent-blue ball-point cartridge, has all the positive attributes and negative failings of the original. The pen is slim and durable with the reliable click-click in-out action on the button at the top, and will accept the widely available replacement cartridges in different tip sizes and ink colours and types.Once dried, the ink in this pen does not smear or smudge even when rubbed with a wet finger. I find that the ball tip is much better to write with than the gel type cartridges. Of course neither is as good as a proper fountain pen with nib, but the T-Ball jotter comes close, and is so much better than a Bic type.Unfortunately the sleek lines also mean the pen has the major failing of being too slippery to grip in a relaxed way; which is why I always wrap some very thin rubber bands around the barrels on my existing stainless Parker jotters and propelling pencils. Improving the ease of grip has greatly reduced the frequency of both spasm attacks and RSI in the back of my hand and wrist. This pen has a durable blue lacquer on the lower barrel, and a corresponding colour blue ink cartridge, but is otherwise very similar in appearance and dimensions to our pair of forty-year-old plain stainless brushed-finish jotters (free from Shredded Wheat), which still work perfectly and I've lost count of how many

‘MEDIUM’ point: ‘BLUE’ inkooOoo~ PARKER~ JOTTER~ BALLPOINT PEN‘Made in France’‘Manufactured from STAINLESS STEEL and finished with ‘VICTORIA VIOLET’ lacquer on the lower half of the barrel’~ INK COLOUR: BLUE~ POINT: MEDIUM~ ‘2-YEAR WARRANTY AGAINST PRODUCT DEFECTS/PROOF OF PURCHASE REQUIRED’ooOooAs currently pictured in the above stock images, this is a relatively lightweight, slim, retractable ballpoint pen that is comfortable in hand and writes well with no hesitation or blobbing.Mine is a bit rattly in use…I am not sure whether that is standard for this design or not.The ballpoint pen measures around 13 cm in length of which just over 5 cm is the matte silver coloured metal-type finish, complete with functional, arrowhead shaped shirt-clip.Mine arrived in a cardboard box (images below refer), ready to use. The ‘clicker’ end is protected for transit. There was no spare refill supplied. As is usually the case for ink, I find it is worth shopping around for refills as they vary in price and are often cheaper bought in packs of 2.RED & BLACK coloured ink refills are also available for this ballpoint pen (at the time of writing).[11 images attached]

I can't help it, i have had an affection for the Parker Jotter as a classic piece of design. It is an iconic pen but a great one because it is a lovely pen to write with and use generally from the balance to the weight/feel to the smoothness of writing to the satisfying 'click' when depressing the button. There are more expensive options but the jotter has class that means it is still worth choosing whether for daily use or as a gift. This edition is called orange but is more a slightly matted metallic copper (by that I mean metallic but not high gloss) which is very different and currently stylish, it comes bundled with blue ink but as with the jotter design it can be switched out whether it needs a refill or you wish to replace the ink colour,in our case it's being replaced with black. This is a lovely gift whether to yourself or another and has a lovely heritage with it, as this pen can be refilled and continued use for years unlike most pens now which are disposable, the blister pack comes with a small box which isn't a necessity but is a lovely touch and nice if you don't have a 'pencil case' to keep it safe between uses as this really isn't a pen for a communal pot.

This a very popular style of Parker pen – according to the company website, it is in fact Parker’s most popular pen. It has an iconic and classic design and an attractive red chrome trim. This is a ballpoint and you simply ‘click’ the top in order to write. The refills are easy to find and good value and, in all honesty, it is probably cheaper to buy a nice pen and refill it, rather than constantly throwing away pens you use until the ink dries up. In order to refill the pen, you simply unscrew the middle and then take out the used ink cartridge and insert a new one.Where you really find the difference in this pen is in the ease of writing. This is clear, clean and smooth. You are not constantly shaking it or losing ink while writing. It does not leak or blot, but gives an excellent and smooth writing style. As pens are something we use all the time, it does make sense to have something which is a pleasure to use and which works well. This also makes a nice, and useful, gift.

I am very picky with pens, but this is an absolutely amazing pen. My favourite one by far.The physical structure is what is truly amazing. It has a good balance of weight, length, barrel diameter, and style. The weight is equally distributed throughout the body, which is good for me personally because it lessens cramping after a long writing session. As for the barrel diameter, unlike other pens I've had, which are either too skinny or too fat, this is just right. It's very comfortable in my hand, easy to handle and work with and it encourages me to use a light touch, though the pen doesn't really require much pressure for it to work anyway. The style is just beautiful, with great choice of colours too.The writing is smooth and even and it doesn't smudge either (unlike some ballpoint pens I've noticed do). I like the retractable aspect as well, since I tend to misplace pen caps so that's a plus for me.

Very sleek and stylish pen. The blue / chrome finish is great looking in an understated way, not showy but classy. That's where it scores points, its basic unfussy styling and the fact that it feels like a quality item - the blue barrel beautifully tapered to the nib. I bet it's not since school that I've had a nice pen like this (be it Papermate or Parker) and have come to rely on biros on a daily basis at work and at home. It does feel a little on the small side though, I've got pretty big hands and I find it just doesn't sit naturally with me, I keep having to adjust my grip on it as I write so probably not really well suited in my case, so in turn I have given it my wife who loves it and I do feel a little envious as it suits her so well.It does write beautifully though and makes me think that maybe I should treat myself and splash out on a nice pen again, but slightly larger.

If any pen can be considered a classic, then this pen is it.It has been in production, pretty much unchanged since 1954 and something like 750 million have been sold worldwide.I used one of these when I was at school in the 1970s and the timeless design still looks as good as it did back then. The retracting mechanism gives a classic and reassuring click when used, the top and bottom screw together perfectly and of course it writes brilliantly. The metal case is also tough enough to survive in a handbag, jacket pocket or man-bag without becoming worn.Writing and even signing your signature, seem to be fast becoming a lost art - but if you have an important document to sign,or want something at work that is a bit better than the usual plastic biros, then this is exactly what you are looking for.Highly recommended indeed!

It's been years since I've held or used A Parker pen, the last time probably being in my school days when I owned a pen very similar to this one, along with a Shaeffer fountain pen. So, I was happy to be given the opportunity to review this one. The barrel that holds the ink refill is a royal blue, the top is a matt chrome and has the signature Parker arrow pocket clip attached. The jotter is Parkers 'basic' ball point and possibly their most well know model. After years of not handling one, it was a revelation to rediscover how fluid writing with a good quality pen actually is. I'd say that for many years, almost 100% of my written work is digital; emails or Microsoft Office document and you do get out of the habit of maintaining decent hand writing standards. With a Parker pen I really wanted to write.Recommended.

I have always been a fan of Parker pens both, fountain and biros, and even have a silver one given as a gift over twenty years ago, which is still going strong. The Parker biro is a lovely blue colour with a stainless steel upper part that has the device for pressing in to use and out to store. This device is well sprung and has a reassuring click to let you know it is ready for use.The Parker Biro is comfortable to handle without being too slippery and is easy to write with. It wrote immediately on use, which is a bonus, as most biros need a scribble to get them going. This pen has a medium point that writes beautifully and does not form blobs of ink around the point. This Parker biro is trueto its word and ideal for use as a jotter biro and I shall use it for my appointments diary that I carry everywhere!

I am a big fan of Parker pens and have used them all my life. I thought this one would be the same as the one I have been using constantly for years...but no. This one is smaller and slimmer, making it easier to handle. Did I not read somewhere that the nib was Medium? Well, it is considerably thinner than I am accustomed to and I absolutely love it.There is of course in addition n ease in finding refills and I believe it takes two different types. This is a really lovely pen and would make a beautiful gift. Parker are not cheap pens, but I have always found them value for money. They last for years and this one is guaranteed for two years, but it will last a lot longer than that...believe me,just take care of it.

Not as heavy as I thought it would be for pen at this price but then again the lighter life becomes the better. As you can guess the refills are a bit more expensive then ordinary refills but Amazon do a great deal if you buy a pack of them. See the following URLhttps://www.amazon.co.uk/Parker-Quinkflow-Ballpoint-Refills-1782468/dp/B00OBWV8MM/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1466620221&sr=8-2-fkmr0&keywords=Parker+QuinkFlow+Refill+Fine+Nib+BlackThese are only £6 a pack of six so you cant go wrong there. The pen is just over 5" in height (1/8" thick) so will fit most pockets and there is no chance of leakage with these refills though I wouldn't put them in my trouser pocket of course.

This is a beautiful, elegant writing instrument. It definitely has the classy Parker quality. The pen itself a burnt orange colour - and is smaller than you would expect and very light. It is beautifully crafted and sits neatly in the hand. The ink in this one was blue and it flows beautifully as you write. And the best thing is that it takes refills - either Parker QuinkFlow Ball Point, or Gel.And the packaging is not a boring blister pack either. This pen comes in a classy, classic dark grey and cream box with a neat insert for the pen and a plastic jig to hold it in place. It is super quality all the way and would make a perfect gift - especially for a student.

I love a Parker Jotter with medium black ink. The epitome of a good, durable and comfortable pen. This Chelsea version is very good looking. I get more comments about this pen (and more people willing to relieve me of it) than I do for my Meisterstück!Dare I say that it feels even more durable than a standard stainless steel Jotter. It definitely feels smoother and is more appealing in my hand.I can also attest for a S/S Jotter's ability to withstand a high voltage current when you think you've inserted it into the reset hole....but haven't. After being fused to a metal housing, it still managed to work.....filling out the incident report!

Right, let me get this straight - Back in the day, my Mum used to own a Parker pen, and I loved it! The click, the sleek design, the fluidity of the ink... absolutely perfect. This pen is no exception - it's sleek, with a half silver/half blue design. And yes, there's that recognisable click. That iconic feather pen clip... thing. It's easy to get going - just click down and start writing. It's really easy to use, obviously, but it really does feel like the Rolls Royce of pens. The ink is blue, and is also easily refillable with those capsule... things. So I know, as long as you don't lose it, this pen will last forever. Absolutely love it!
