We seriously ocnsidered buying an auto opening bin, but i was less than impressed with the quality and reviews on them. We wanted a large bin, that wouldnt restrict removal of the bag,and that would keep the smells out. This wins on all three accounts. It takes a large bag - we only empty this once or twice a week, and no more damaged bags as the bag holder is removeable. This means its easy (if heavy) to remove. Its easy access with the side pedal at the bottom, sits neatly against our units. No smells as the lid closely snugly down. Very good all round bin, with foot pedal opening or lift up lid, works really well.

Great bin but the Swiss flag on the lid of the bin in all the adverts was missing.
