This game follows on from Red Orchestra - a WW2 Eastern Front game, which was in itself superb. Rising Sun is quite simply a hidden gem of a game. I enjoy Battlefield and COD but for realism and a challenge I go for Rising Sun. This is a game where a good squad leader or Commander is important, where you can pick up points by being a good team player, not just blasting away with a noob tube, and the battles are really exciting. Many games, on say a capture the flag are just 50/50 slug fests irrespective of the maps, and many games are just bullet festivals, but Rising Sun has so much more. The game is superbly balanced, the dug in Japanese are outnumbered, but they have good positions, whereas the US have more troops, and it gives the capture the flag type games so common to the genre, a real edge. The respawns act as waves of reinforcements and its just got a realism that other games haven't. I especially like the team aspect to this game, Rising Sun is a game where if the troops all work together, and have a good command structure, it makes a big difference, its not just a bunch of guys running around shooting each other.Rising Sun is hugely enjoyable, it looks great, everythings just kinda balanced, everything works, the attention to detail is OCD, and its a genuine pleasure to play. Do yourself a favour and buy it.

This game is far more better than Battlefield 1943,Call of Duty World at War and Medal of Honor Pacific Assault. This game features reality, variety of classes and authentic weapons and real Japanese casted voices. The katana and bushido are key features when it comes to the Japanese. While americans have flamethrowers. No vehicles for Rising storm. For Red Orchestra however there are tanks and other vehicles..If you want reality, squad based and tacticful game then this is it.My best purchase of WWII FPS this year! Would recommend it!NOTE; Need to do the bootcamp due it's difficulty to know wich button is wich and where it stands for so this game isn't for BUTTONMASHERS but for people who knowhow to handle a PC.

Great game, quality graphics with some amazing weapons.Flamethrower and knee-mortar my favourites! but they still have the venerable M1 Garand.Multiplayer servers are plentiful and you can pick different gameplay styles and realism settings.Overall a fantastic game and Ive been playing for well over a month and still loving it!Recommended for old fans of MOH PA, early COD. basic recon planes and artillery strikes still available!Modern fans of COD 4/5 and battlefield might dissapoint as no scopes, not airstrikes or modern assists like red dot sights etc.

The game is great, graphics are brill and it runs well on a low budget machine!People who complain about it being only multiplayer are fools, you should always look into what you're buying before you buy it!If you want single player buy Red Orchestra 2 Heroes of Stalingrad! Also it is a PC game, this means that you will mostly always need steam to play it properly, do your research before buying PC games, don't give the game a rubbish review because you were too stupid to research before you threw your money at something!

This game adds functionally and game play to the Red Orchestra 2 formula. They have managed to balance the asymmetric weapons of the period, the banzai charge for the Japanese side encourages team work and is something I've never seen in a game before. If you like teamwork and tactical action this is definitely a good game to choose.
