A rewarding game if you take time to learn what you are doing.There is always a danger when blending genres that you turn off both types of fans. In this case, I just love both the strategy and action elements and they come together really well. The strategy is not as in depth and funless as Hearts of Iron (which despite numerous attempts continues to turn me off). It makes you feel like you can make a difference to the outcome, although you do have to pay attention to what you are doing, without it becoming a drudge. On the other hand in the action mode, watching waves of torpedo and dive bombers attacking your fleet and bursting into flames after being hit by AA fire is really mesmerising,

I've been following Pacific Storm for over a year now and the development is looking really exciting, the sheer vastness of the game is astonishing!I suggest you check out the Pacific Storm website to see what I mean.The game incorporates lots of genres and allows you to set up strategic maneuvres and then even take part in them. For example, say you know that an enemey ship is carrying cargo that will aid them, you can launch an attack on the ship with one of your squadrons, but then actually fly one of the planes like you would do in a flight sim and be part of the attack!!Just check out the game site and you'll see what I mean!
