I absolutely love everything about the Raspberry Pi. It is such an amazing piece of kit and a total steal for the cost. The range of things you can do with it are staggering.Media server, home automation, robotics, programming, Wolfram Mathematica you name it the Pi can do it, and for less than 20 quid. And the best part is the massive community around the Pi, there is pretty much a video tutorial, guide or forum post for every project or problem you may have. Please note that this is the model A+ which is ideally suited to any projects that require small size, lightweight and low power usage. Things like battery powered wearables, anything you want to get airborne etc.If you are just starting out with the Pi and don't know exactly what you want to do yet I suggest you get a Model B+, you will have an ethernet port which you can use to remotely access the pi (google something called putty) and extra USB ports. The A+ is a trimmed down version.

Wonderful device, especially when utilised as an XBMC media centre. Don't think that you'll need to go for the B+ with 512MB of RAM , it's just not needed for Rapsbmc, where 256MB is just plenty. There's no ethernet, only one usb port, but it's got that lovely CEC HDMI component , which means that you don't need a keyboard or mouse to run XBMC , just use the your existing TV remote control to navigate around.. pop in a class 6 or 10 micro SD card , install Raspbmc, plug in one of those £5 usb wifi sticks and off you go.These things can do so much more than just run XBMC but if you're hoping to run a lightweight desktop like xcfe /Lubuntu then you'll need to move on up to the B+.The support in this community is outstanding and if you've kids interested in computing , then these things are a fantastic way to show them that computing does not start and stop with an iPad.

It's a Pi, has the audio fix and supports Pi Camera (and touch screen) == what more needs to be said ?The only real 'downside' of the A+ is the price = it's not significantly cheaper than the B/B+ to be worth considering UNLESS (like me) you need it for it's small size.NB. One annoyance with all the Pi's is the stupid micro-usb power socket connection which is so easy to damage .. the designers seem to be oblivious to the hobbiest market who are begging for another way to feed in power - even a pair of bare solder pads would do ! (although with the A/A+ it's more likley you will be back-driving it from a hub/PoE cable via the single USB socket)

If you are considering buying one of these you will probably not need a review from another customer to help you. All I will say is if you want to experiment and play with a Raspberry Pi for the first time get the Raspberry Pi2. If you *know* that your project can forsake processor speed and connectivity options get this. In essence do not consider this a "cheaper Raspberry Pi", consider it the low-power version for specific low-power projects.

My first slice of the Pi? ,i don't mean to sound like a cheese cake but i'm looking forward to learning more about what this unit can do. Also description says-Memory: 256MB RAM but when delivered the Raspberry box shows it's Model A+ 512MB so no complaints from me?...and a free bag of Haribo say no more!

I had no issues with this PI but should have considered all of my requirements and setup. I do not plan to have a keyboard perminantly attach, but for the install and setup. On USB just isn't enough. Make sure you have a USB hub to hand for the start of your project, otherwise it could be a non starter.

This works very well. No problems. It didn't come with any connectors, instructions or add-ons but I didn't expect any. You can easily get these by consulting the Raspberry Pi website and then ordering what you need elsewhere.

A nice little addition to my Pi family - the lack of ethernet port limits some use but the size is ideal for some applications. A great little addition to my Pi family at home!

Good value for money if you need a Pi with small power drain and processing power is not so important.
