I have just downloaded the 7-day trial from Planetside's website, and I find this expansion very good. There are a lot of upgrades and changes in the expansion pack, but like most add-ons to online games, it all just seems like a big patch. The expansion pack features 3 new weapons: Maelstrom, Spiker, and Radiator. The maelstrom shoots a beam of energy which does damage, when you hold it. The spiker sends out small shots of energy, which do more damage over distance, and it can also be charged to do more damage. The radiator is a special assault weapon, and shoots an energy ball, that explodes and does damage over a specific area. There are also 3 new vehicles: Flail, Router, and Switchblade. The flail is like a big trebuchet, you can drive it around, and when you want to shoot, you deploy it, and it hurls energy balls at the target. The router is a teleporter, that can be deployed. When deployed, you can get a transport device, which you then take to the spot you want to teleport to, and then you can pass between the router and the device. The switchblade is an ATV vehicle, and is like the basilisk, but can be deployed, which turns it into a ground-turret, that shoots energy arrows extremely quick. The whole expansion pack, Core Combat, is set underground, in different caverns, where you can get modules for each base, you have to find them in the caverns, and then take them to the surface and install them in the bases. There are six different modules, including an equipment module, which enables you to buy the 3 new vehicles and weapons. There is also a shield module which, when installed, creates an energy barrier at the gates of the base. There are also a few other modules.Basically, the Core Combat expansion pack, is an add-on that lets you go underground to receive better defense and assault. I would definetely reccomend this product to all Planetside gamers. It's worth it.

What can i say........O.M.G. The landscape isjust amazing for a start, then comes the other players, they are also cool i mean yea there are a few annoying people but there is on every game, and the game itsself is just brilliant i dont even know how to describe it. To me it feels like a RPG as u have to get better in order to be stronger. When you kill enough people you get a certification point - with this you can purchase veichle skills, weapons and armour. In the expansion pack there is alot more to offer. For a start there are i think 3 new veihcles. Also i think there are about 3 new weapons. And yea i wil ladmit the new cave leves arnt exactly huge in size but its well worth the money i could garentee. In my eyes ive never seen or played a better game since the dawn of PC gaming! Ok perhaps call of duty united offensve but thats a different story. I would never think about un-installing this game, stopping the game or even bad mouthing the game. This is only my view though, obviously others have there own. If you havnt played the game at least download the demo! hey its a 7 day free demo you cant go wrong either way

I was a little cautious at first buying such an old item and getting a defunct CD-key but the package was sealed as promised and the key went straight into SoE's system. Just still feels a bit unnecessary to ship plastic across the entire world instead of receiving a .jpg cdkey scan.
