This tea is very nice. This is my first time trying instant tea and I'm pleasantly surprised by how nice it is. It tastes just like it came from a teabag. It's a quicker and more convenient way of making tea. It's also easier to make it the right strength. Once you work out how much you need to use for your tastes you can make the perfect cup of tea every time. I have to admit part of the reason why I bought this is due to laziness. I can't always be bothered to stir and squeeze a teabag until the tea is the strength I like first thing in the morning which takes awhile because I like what my boyfriend calls super builder's tea which means very strong tea and first thing in the morning I want something that takes the least amount of effort to prepare. For me the perfect amount for a mug is 2 heaped teaspoons. I should point out that I use a big mug. For a smaller mug I would probably use less. If I was making a small tea cup sized amount that would probably be 1 heaped teaspoon. Like all tea I have this with a very small amount of milk and no sugar or sweeteners of any kind. it says you get 80 cups per jar but they probably mean 80 small tea cups made average strength. Not mugs made strong so I don't think I'm going to get 80 drinks out of each jar because I make it in a mug and not a small tea cup. I also like my tea stronger than most people. The only thing that would make this better for me is if Yorkshire Tea made instant tea since that's my favourite brand. I know there will be purists who will say instant tea isn't real tea and they won't drink tea unless it comes from a teabag or teapot but to those people I would say just give it a fair try before you decide you don't like it. I would recommend this to anyone who likes tea and wants a quick and convenient way to make tea. Just be aware that if you are making mugs of tea you might only get 40 drinks out of each jar.

Curious that this is not labelled "instant tea" in the way that instant coffee is. Yet that is exactly what it is. No teapot or messy teabags needed - just spoon a modest amount into your cup and add boiling water. I find a level teaspoonful is plenty, as the granules are pretty strong. Stir briskly, then add milk to taste - I find more is needed than with teabag tea. Add a little more hot water if the brew is still too strong, then drink and enjoy. Tip: If you use a china cup, wash it straight away after drinking, or it will get stained. This is not a cheap product and will never be mistaken for loose-leaf tea or good quality teabag tea, but the taste is more than acceptable and the convenience is indisputable.Worth keeping a jar at hand to make a quick morning cuppa, or any other time you are in a hurry.

i liked the fact i could find it as often hard to find in shops near us. my partner can only drink this type of tea brand so i was super glad when i found i could buy a box of 6 on amazon at a great reduced price due to bulk buying.i was always a tea bag drinker but one day had none so in desperation had a go with this powdered tea and i'm hooked..no more messing about with messy tea bags and as long as you use the same spoon each time you get the same strength each time...dissolves very quick when adding the hot water with no residue ever left... does not stain the cups like normal tea does...no more bags for me..

I have tried all the instant teas available and this is the only one that ticks all the boxes. The only thing to remember is to add after pouring your water into a cup (with milk) otherwise you will get lumpy bits. Give it a good vigorous stir and voila, the perfect cuppa. I used to buy this in Tesco but they now stock the inferior Tetley Instant Tea which personally I wouldn't give cupboard space to. Tesco have stopped quite a few things I would buy and I now get from Amazon. If this keeps up I will be doing the weekly shop online with Amazon !!!!

I have been using PG tips Pure Instant Tea Granules for many years, and would use no other. It makes the most delicious, smooth, refreshing tea EVER! I keep a cupboard full as I cannot imagine going back to horrid loose tea or tea bags so messy. This is just so, so PERFECT it ticks all the boxes. One spoonful in the cup, pour on boiling water, add sweetener and milk and you have, in my honest opinion, the best cup of tea you will ever have tasted. Just try it and see.

Not the best cuppa, make sure you only use a small teaspoon but the convenience is brilliant. It is the best instant tea out there but do not think this will replace a nice cup of brewed tea. I give 5 stars as it does make a very convenient cuppa which is what it is designed for and it is the best out there. This is not for tea connoisseurs and should not be served for guests but a quick cuppa with little time to spare it certainly does the trick.

For a very long time (10 - 15 years) I have wondered why we can get granulated or freeze dried instant coffee but can only get tea leaves or teabags, which I consider both to be messy and unnecessary.Someone must have heard my wishes because PG brought out this delicious and flavoursome granulated instant tea. Since it's introduction, I would not consider, and point blank refuse to dream of, going back to tea leaves or tea bags.Well done PG.

I like my tea very weak and black- 1 teabag would make me 5 or 6 cups and so are for me wasteful and messy. I just use a few granules on the tip of a spoon to get the strength and flavour I like. No waste, no mess. 1 jar lasts months. I can't speak to how it works for a builder's brew, but for me it's perfect. Have been unable to buy in shops recently and so tried Amazon. I now have a few years supply, but my perfect morning cuppa is guaranteed!

I have been buying this instant tea for many months and am delighted that Amazon are now selling it at a reasonable price. I now loathe using messy tea bags as the instant is so easy - just like using instant coffee - and tastes great. You can use a little if you like weak tea or a lot if you prefer builder's brew and there's no waste. As an extra plus, the jars have a wide neck so are great for storage.

I have used P.G. Tea Granules for many years and now living in a rural part of Scotland looked to amazon for supplies rather than a 60 mile drive.for supplies. On looking it seems the ads items 6 and 8 are the same but with a huge price difference between them, how can this be? and even thenthe prices are way above the supermarket price. Whatever happened to P.G.s large catering tins of granules?

This is so much nicer than QT which has added milk. I found that because of this I didn't really like it in spite of the fact of its convenience.Yes, QT is cheaper as you can find it in 99p stores but these pure tea granules are so much nicer, firstly because the tea is nicer and secondly because you can add your own milk or have none at all.Payin over twice the amount is worth it.

Just to be clear, there are 6 jars in the pack. I have been using this for many years and find the taste just to my liking. The more you add the stronger the tea. I can get about 100 cups from the jar as I like my tea on the weak side (I use a level tea spoon) No messy tea bags to dispose of and easy to control the strength to your liking. Great value for money for the six jars.

Having a white kitchen sink teabag waste did not cause domestic harmony with my coffee drinking wife. Once you work out how much you like in a cup or mug this is a perfectly acceptable alternative to teabags and is a much tidier alternative. Still occasionally use loose tea when I fancy something more unusual - i.e. specialist teas. In general is an everyday standard cuppa.

I'm not English, BUT, I used to live in England for a while, and long time ago, I tested this product, and frankly for a fast cuppa, it does it very well. Of course nothing to compare with a tea in the traditional way, with special water, special spoon and bla bla bla. But for the everyday fast cuppa... it's perfect. So I recommend it, even for the purists (open ones) !

I prefer the flavour of this tea to any other, and the granules (no messy teabags to dispose of) mean always a hot cup. An excellent cost-effective way to happiness for an elderly person.I have bought a vast amount (this is one delivery of two from you) because not many shops stock the granules.Thank you.Frances M.Johnson
