These are good pens which have a firm metal tip which writes very smoothly - unlike some gel pens the ink dries instantly so doesn't smudge. They are refillable. Because the pens are a little on the short side and the ink only goes around 2/3 the way along the plastic tube you're not going to get a huge amount of writing out of each. At £1.50 a pop (even at Amazon's heavily discounted price from the RRP) in this pack of 12 they seem very pricey. When you get multipacks like this they are usually regarded as disposable. If you are going to refill you would buy 1 pen and refills thereafter. The refills look like they are nearly a quid each (again at Amazon's heavily discount from RRP).

Top quality pens, in a great value pack of 12 pens to a box - since each pen lasts a good long time, these are very cost-effective. They work seamlessly right from the pack, with no leakage or smearing of ink, just smooth enjoyable writing in a deep red which stands out when marking documents. The barrel is a little thicker than other Energel types of pen, so might be preferable for some people based on that. Another benefit of these pens is that they are actually refillable, so a little better for the environment. Pentel pens are always reliably good quality, and these are lovely pens and great value.

These are good quality, refillable gel pens. The ink colour is very vivid - much brighter than the ink from ordinary ball point pens. Today is quite warm and after a couple of seconds on ordinary 80gsm paper, some of my writing smudges - after 10 seconds there is no smearing of the ink. Supplied in recycled packaging. As it has been my experience that quite often the reality of refillable items is that refills aren't readily available, I checked to see if Amazon also stock refills. At the time of writing, they do.

This is an excellent value box of pens. I find that they write really well and with the fine tip make my handwriting lovely. They are extremely well made and robust. They are comfortable to hold too. The ink lasts for some time.I really think these are an excellent buy and they are great for marking jotters (if you are a teacher), highlighting and underlining information that you want to stand out and for generally improving your handwriting.I thoroughly recommend these excellent gel pens.

This is a really lovely 0.7mm refillable (ergo: less waste) gel pen sold by Amazon in a bumper pack of 12, making the individual unit cost very reasonable indeed. The build, although rather plasticky, is smooth and the ridged rubberised grip is ideal for prolonged use. There is also a satisfying 'click' when the cap is closed.I would therefore heartedly recommend this pen.

I have tried to get these refillable Gel Pens and found it hard at times. It seems they are switching to single use disposable pens which I don't really care for. I have used these for several years and like them a lot. Once they run out I can easily just replace the ink cartridge without having to buy a new set of pens.

These pens are excellent.The ink is a bright red colourThey are comfortable to holdThey write very wellThe ink flows wellThe ink dries very fastAll in all they are simply superb

The pen itself is larger but the color red ink leaves a lot to be desired. This is a light red...does not stand out like the previously ordered red ink pens did.
