Parker are well known for producing high quality pens, and within those pens is supplied high quality ink. And after many, many pages, when the ink has run dry you can open up your pen and fit it with a refill. An original Quinkflow refill is always the way to go on such an occasion.Other alternatives do exist, and they may save you a little money, but if you want your pen to perform the same way as it did when you purchased it, you have but one choice. Quite simply, the fine tolerances and excellent materials from Parker ensure that your writing will be smooth and flowing instead of halting and scratchy. The ink will always appear on demand and will be of uniform width and flow. There will be no blots, blodges or blockages. It will work faultlessly and your writing experience will continue to be a pleasure. This has always been my experience with Parker, over many years, and I own a number of their pens including a couple of beautiful Duofolds. There were a couple of sad occasions when I fitted non Parker refills, but the results were everything I warned you of earlier, so let us not mention those dark times again.A final word concerning choice of ink colour: We live in a World of diversity and freedom of choice, which I for one applaud. When considering matters of etiquette though, be aware of the maxim that a gentleman always insists on the finest and blackest of ink, whereas blue is suitable mainly for schoolboys.

A Parker Ballpoint refill in black with a broad point. As best recalled, although Parker's ballpoint pens were always a personal preference throughout my working life, a broad-point refill was never used; medium was the preferred standard but fine was sometimes used if medium was not available. This type of refill is so common and popular that it is the format used by several smaller brands, the German 'Online' included plus several others past and present. Although extensively used, they were infrequently replaced as they seemed to last for ever.Commonly available also in blue, green and red as well as this black there were times when three colours were needed in different pens, but not now.Although there are compatible refills available, they are of lesser quality, sometimes less fully-filled and may suffer from the inclusion of air bubbles which halt ink-flow. No problems had ever been encountered when using Parker's originals.

To get the best out of your Parker pen you need to use the proper refills and this genuine Parker Quink refill is good value and performs well. All Parker ball pen refills are a standard size, so this will fit whichever type of Parker pen you have.Perhaps it's just a personal preference, but I found that the broad nib definitely gives a smoother flow of writing than you get with the medium nib that comes as standard. It really just glides, with a reliable and consistent flow of ink. It is not a perfect flow however, and occasionally you can detect thicker blots and occasional faintness in a line, but that's only if you are being really picky and looking for it.This is however by no means an expensive high-end refill however, and for the price it's exceptionally good value that will extend the life of your Parker pen and the quality of its writing.

CLASSIC=======What I like about Parker is the form factor of a parker pen is the same for al types of refill. Gel, Ballpoint etc. So I found an old parker pen. (I think I got it free from Michael Parkinson for requesting a quote...)OUT OF THE PACKET=================The refill writes pretty well straight out of the packet. It does write a little better after writing a little.DRYING TIME===========The drying time is instant. The ball point pen is the best type of pen fr drying time. No hands covered in ink.ALL PAPER==========I tried on paper, newspaper, business cards etc. It was fine apart from the really shiny coated business cards.OVERALL========I like the fast drying, smooth gliding pen and found that the results were faultless. The classic design and ease of use is why parker pens continue to be popular.

There must be around a dozen Parker pens lying around in my home. At one time every time a pen ran out of ink, I bought a new pen rather than a refill.I still use Parker pens to this day, but I now buy refills. The pens themselves have a stylish design that I really love. Nothing says you have good taste more than when you whip out a Parker pen from a jacket pocket to sign something. And if you own a Parkerbpen, the rule is you never buy anything other than a genuine Parker refill. They're not cheap - quality costs, but their bulbous shape means they hold quite a bit of ink. What's more, they write smoothly and true - with no blotches - from first go until they run out of ink.You can also write at an upward angle with them,up to a point.Simply a classic pen.

There is nothing like the writing experience you get with a high quality Parker pen and the original brand ink that fits within. This refill has a great flow of ink that doesn't leak or dribble, but just allows wave after wave of your thoughts to run down the page. It amazes me that people expect a copy to yield the quality of an original - it is Parker Quink that you need and with it you will get a really long life and keep the integrity of the inside of your pocket too! This single refill will give you consistent service and ensure that your valuable words are captured and maintained for years to come. Remember that you never economise by buying cheap merchandise - Amazon price is a great one,and always for the original!

Great timing, I have a Parker Pen which I got for my wife to use, however it was blue and the NHS still think photocopiers can't reproduce blue ink. They can and have been able to for 30 years+However I retrieved the pen and bungled this black re-fill in and now the pen is NHS approved!Smooth writing, the ball is super smooth and the quality of ink is far superior to cheap Chinese ball-points the NHS waste money on - they never last to the end of the ink.The pens are spring loaded and the bounce is just right, so writing with a Parker feels so much more pleasant than any plastic copy pen.No idea why, but it just feels luxurious when you write.

My partner has a much loved Parker ball point pen, but it's been languishing in its case lately, as he hadn't got round to purchasing a new refill. Well, within a couple of minutes of me receiving the package in the post, the pen was back in action and partner was happy! The ink in these refills runs smoothly and without blobs or uneven coverage. If past experience is anything to go by, they also last a long time, even with regular use. It's great to have something which can be refilled and reused, rather than disposed of. Now, if only there was some magic ingredient in the ink to make my partner's handwriting more legible ...

The one thing that is assured with Parker products is quality and consistency. This goes for the ball-pen refill reviewed here. It may only be a humble refill but it is made with same precision as Parker's more up-market product.Containing black ink and a broad tip the refill worked straight from the packet and provides clear, almost smudge free writing. I say almost smudge free because I've not come across a ball-pen yet that gives totally smudge free, not even my mega-expensive Mont Blanc pen.Nothing to fall out with here, don't be tempted to go with a cheap alternative, buy the best.

I love my Parker Pen and use it constantly at work. So, when the ink does, finally, run out, it is worthwhile replacing the ink with a Parker Quink Ball Pen Refill. It is simple to replace - you simply unscrew the pen in the middle, take out the old refill and put in the new. Just make sure that you do it over a table, in case anything falls out - you don't want to searching around for small parts. This refill is blue and, with a medium nib, it gives you clear, smooth writing. These refills do last a long while and so it is certainly worth investing in the correct ones.

This Parker Quink Ball Pen Refill fitted my Parker perfectly.I have looked at other refills but frankly you can't substitute the real thing. It was so easy to replace the old empty one, by firstly carefully unscrewing the topand then removing it, before installing your new Refill. Experience has taught me todo this carefully as the interior of the Parker has a spring which activates the on/offoperation, with a spring. It is smooth flowing and I particularly liked the Broad Nib which produces neat writing,no 'splurges' of ink, and it has depth.Recommended.

This Quinkflow ball pen refill fits all of the Parker pens I have, whether they are chunky or slimmer in style and design. I personally prefer the blue ink to the black and, although it is described as being of medium flow, I think it writes quite fine, allowing for neat and small detail. It writes extremely smoothly, with no breaks or smudging, and feels more like a good fountain pen in use. If it does have the capability to write continuously for some 3500 metres, as Parkers aver, it will last some considerable time and prove excellent value for money.

Parker seemed to fall out of favour over the last decade or so - mainly because it was given away as a free gift by a large number of companies (some of whom were not seen as "good" companies but a bit shady). It was a shame as the quality of Parker didn't seem to be faltering, but their reputation took a hit by association). These Parker refills are lovely writers. There is minimal botching and no gritty feeling when writing with them.I am very please with these refills.
