I bought this to use with my Panasonic NV-GS330 . I must say, I am really pleased with it. It is optically good. How it would perform on an SLR I could not sa, but it was not bought with that in mind.The specifications listed on Amazon are a little lacking.Mount diameter: 37mmLens max. diameter: 62mmOverall length: 49mmThe lens LOOKS to be of good quality, and certainly on my camcorder I am very happy with the results.I see one other reviewer has criticised the large size of the lens, but to be honest, I dont know how they could make a wide-angle lens that is not significantly larger than the original lens of the camcorder.I had originally bought one from an alternative supplier,slightly cheaper than Amazon,

This wide angle lens for a Panasonic video cam is pretty big and totally distorts the SD class machines. This is especially irritating as the SD's bullet point feature is slim and small design.Someone forget tyo the the designer this also for the lens extensions.Once over this grumble, the lens perform perfectly and it's uncanny how much video is shot with the wide end.A pleasure, pity the same quality could not be got from a smaller item.
