Ok so as all reviewers have said.... its 'bleeping' expensive for a battery and the cost keeps the review to 4 out of 5 for me.Fact of the matter is however that if you are complimenting a £600-£900 camera (as I am) then you need it. I use it for the WX970 which, being 4k and 2 cameras absolutley eats the OEM battery in about 1hr if not quicker. Personally I feel Panasonic should give this bigger batt with the 4k camera but that is another story.This batt does what it says, holds charge for 3.5hrs general on off use along my recent trip to China and only died once when filming a wedding.... I did of course have its smaller OEM brother that came with the cam to bail me out.So yes....

I purchased this as the original tiny battery for my Panasonic v520 didn't work properly. The fully charged cell has enough to keep you running on video mode for 4-5 hours -depending on how much you use the on/off and zoom functions.I've had no problems with this and I've never figured out how long it lasts when using picture/still frame shots. It quite easily covers your typical day trip without needing to be recharged and has become a bit of a life saver.Price has increased 50% since I bought mine. I seriously would like another for longer holiday breaks, but doubt I'll pay £100 or so for a second one, guess I'll just recharge this.

I bought this battery because even i spent so much money to buy the Panasonic HC-VXF990EBK 4K Camcorder the battery which been included is so small and needs to be recharge soon so you miss a lot of your beautiful moments or events. So i spent more money to buy this one with the hope next time i will record to have more time to catch more events than before.

It was a bit expensive but it was worth it as it means I can go out for a day of filming and there is still plenty of juice left when I get home. I kept the old (smaller) battery as a backup but I have never had to use it yet. definitely worth the expense to get the proper item made by Panasonic as well.

I am so glad I brought this. Last holiday I forgot to recharge it and it was on half charge but it still did loads of video for the holiday so I was saved due to this extra long battery.It does the length claimed and looks natural in the camera. Definitely a useful buy.

Excellent for all sporting events, and it has a three to four hour duration, thus in most cases illiminates mid activity battery changes..It is worth paying a bit more than buying short lasting batteries needing replacing multiple times.

This battery has a huge charge and lasts for hours, it will record for just over 90 minutes, but it does take a long time to charge (around 5 hours) but I don't know where I'd be without it

The battery was very expensive, however it takes about 4 hours and 40 minutes to waste all the energy recording in high definition and using the zoom a lot!I'm very happy with it!

I have use it once with a camcorder and lasted for about 4-5 hours of continuos shooting in 4k which is not bad at all. Unfortunately is very expensive.

Perfect product that has become extremely useful. This has over doubled the battery life of my video camera, I don't know how I lived with out it.

Just what you need for all that extra zooming in and out I do,I might even be tempted to buy another if it was a bit cheaper does a great job

This is a great little battery and as it claims it is twice the capacity of the standard battery. Just a shame that it cost so much.

Performs well and will be essential when out for a day's shoot but it is very expensive for such a small item.
