My son trains and plays rugby 3-4 times a week. He has wide feet and has found that Optimum boots are the only ones that fit. He keeps trying other brands but keeps coming back to Optimum purely because of fit, I am happy as they are much better value. He has had a new pair of Optimum boots each season for the past 6 years. They have never worn out or even shown signs of excessive wear, the only reason for new boots has been that his feet keep growing. Optimum leather boots provide a degree of protection (he plays back row) through the leather uppers which also shape to the wearer's foot. He needed a pair with moulded soles for 7s and summer training on hard pitches and these are perfect.

I always struggle to get rugby boots for my son as all the top named ones are narrow fitting. I always end up buying optimum because they are great for the broader feet. My son has worn these a couple of times now and says they are really comfy so to me that's the best result. The only time I buy this brand is when he needs a bigger size and not because they are broken and worn out!! So win win really because they are a fantastic buy for a fantastic price ?

Really felt the difference on hard ground. Helped my sore feet no end. Stated size was accurate. Normally have to buy a size larger with rugby boots. good buy, would recommend

Great value moulded boot. As free returns were offered I ordered two sizes for our son to get the best fit for him. Impressed with the boots and the returns service.

They were too tight for my dainty feet so gave them to a friend who's playing 7s (that's rugby by the way). He reckons they're good and he's a fussy tart usually.
