We bought the adult- small and it fits my son's average sized 11 year old head very well. I think the Junior-large would have fitted too but I'm sure he would have outgrown it too quickly. I think there's just an inch between them. He says it is very comfortable and protects his ears well. Keeps the head warm during the cold season which is a bonus. He did mention that he felt quite sweaty with it on and so it might be a problem when it gets warmer( which is quite rare for us up here in the west of Scotland). He really likes the blue coloured lining as he says it looks cool! Highly recommended.Will update on durability after a few washes.Updated: it's now been washed 5 times since we bought it And it still looks as new!Update #2: we've had it now for 6 weeks and washed umpteen tines.

Our rugby mad 7 year old son loves this and although he's not playing contact rugby yet, he's had enough scrapes playing tag-rugby to make this a good idea. We made sure to tell him its not a "Crash helmet", so he understands it does not make him invincible. It is made of good, robust materials and is very easy to fit. Highly recommend.

I purchased this head guard for my son after was knocked to the ground after a bang to his head.My son is 13 and this fits him well, although he thinks he is too cool to wear it.I am a great believer in young up and coming rugby players wearing head guards to protect there heads and prevent cabbage ears.

Bought for a friend who has an Autistic Son, the N.H.S. one he had was quite basic & dull looking. This Sporty "Optimum Head Protector", fit perfectly & has a great - rear elasticated pull & tie lacework system. Great protection for a great price !!!

This season all our players are wearing caps and this one is the one most have, fits age range u9's and up with adjustable straps on the back for when their head grows. Fits girls and boys.

Bought a medium for my son as previously returned a small as not big enough. Great fit and my son loves it, good ear protection.
