It may sound like a fanboy review, but it is honestly a really really good product.Let me explain the pros:Quality build, excellent. Even the packaging is great. Nothing like any made in china product I've ever encounter.Attention to detail, you receive, instructions, tools, thermal paste, etc. All you need and more. And again impressive quality. Even metal badge if you want to stick it somewhere. The thing is massive, huge, enormous. You won't get how enormous this thing is until you finally install it.It makes my ATX motherboard look like a raspberry pi. No joke is a thicc boy and also heavy so much so that I hope it won't end up breaking something.Easy to install, and it haves way enough clearance for the ram and other stuff. I was wonder about that but is not a problem at all.Noise and performance. Well, I bought it because the original AMD cooler is a nightmare. Literally, that thing is so loud that gave me headaches and I end up turning off the PC and avoiding using it many times.I have a 3900x stock no OC and it could go as high as 80 or 90 and this thing sounded like jet airplane ready to take off. Absurd. Now with the Noctua, it's chilling at 45-60 and it may peak at 70. I even went as fat as taking the Vcore from 1.25 to 1.35 and still the same. Noise wise it can get loud if it goes to max speed. But you can put the motherboard in silent or quiet mode or whatever your settings and it's acceptable. Not silent but still night and day difference to the AMD nightmare. The cons, The price. That's the only thing you can argue it's a big downside. It's expensive, compared to any other cooler it's the most expensive and you can go AIO for this price. It hurts to spend so much in a CPU cooler, and the fact that the CPU came with one makes it even harder to swallow. But if you can afford it, is a good purchase as long you can justify it. I enjoy a quieter setup and also now it will make OC possible in the future. Why not a water cooler then? the good ones are over 100 quid and the pump and leaks issues are something I don't need or want to deal with.

I've been building my own computers for 20 years and have used various coolers including the likes of Zalman; I've also dabbled with custom loop watercooling. My aim has always been to achieve the maximum possible performance at the lowest noise floor. This Noctua is without any doubt the best air cooler I have ever bought, and I've owned a fair few over the years.Installation was a breeze except for a small cut to the finger from the sharp heatsink fins when installing one of the two fans, so take care with that.I'm cooling a RYZEN 7 3700X using a UEFI fan profile to keep the fans at 750RPM for all temps below 60C.Both of the supplied fans are installed and the heatsink is oriented so air is blown out the the back of the case which is a full tower situated on the floor about 2 feet from my seating position. At the aforementioned fan speeds and proximity I have to listen very carefully to hear any fan noise at all; it really is that quiet. The CPU idles below 40C and reaches 55C when running prime95 torture test with all cores at 100% load. Much lower temps are achievable at higher fan speeds (they max out at 1200RPM I believe) but for almost perfect silence I'm more than happy with what I'm getting. As coolers go it's pretty expensive, but if you are serious about reducing noise or want to overclock the snot out of a RYZEN and are happy to spend a little more to get there then look no further.

Where do you start, the Noctua NH-D15 SE-AM4, dual tower CPU Cooler is big. I have a mid-tower case and had to leave one of the 2 premium class NF-A15 140mm fans off the tower, because I was worried about the lack of space in my case, at the time. In hindsight, I could have put it on, and will probably do so soon enough. Anybody with a full tower case will have no such problems. Noise levels are non-existent due to excellent NF-A15 140mm fans with theirPWM support and Low-Noise Adaptor. In fact the only noise that I hear is from my case fans which I shall change for Noctua chasis fans. Temperature wise, this Air Cooler is excellent. I've had no problems whatsoever in keeping my Ryzen 9 3900X cool, even when benchmarking, it doesn't run hot and it also does a heck of a good job of helping expel all warm air from my desktop. The cooler can be configured in 2 ways, at 90 deg angles, dependent on choice, one thing they have thought of is to give you ample space for your sticks of RAM this time. I use Corsair Vengeance LPX, so it was never going to be a problem for me, but for those who prefer other RAM, you should now have the room. Last question, would I recommend this to a friend, yes, most certainly. you can keep your water coolers, I'd buy this time. Old adage, water and electricity don't mix. Noctua have continued to dominate the field with it's CPU Tower Coolers.

I bought the NH-D15 to replace an AMD Wraith Prism cooler on my Ryzen 7 2700x. The Wraith cooler did the job but the noise levels at high RPM were just too much when gaming. Even in VR you could still hear the cooler. So I decided to get a Noctua as a few years ago I had one in an old system and was always impressed with how quiet they were. The Noctua NH-D15 is very easy to install and has excellent instructions. It includes everything you need to install it, including high quality Noctua thermal paste and a screwdriver.**Important to note when removing the wraith prism (or any other heatsink on AM4 sockets) you must run a stress test for 5 minutes, shutdown your machine and then gently twist until the old cooler pops off.If you don't do this you risk ripping the cpu from the socket. **After swapping to the NH-D15 it was immediately obvious that my CPU temps were far lower than with the AMD Wraith Prism. Also the NH-D15 even with both fans installed is very quiet.Overall couldn't be happier. I see no reason that this cooler won't last me until the end of socket AM4.

OMG it's HUGE. This is NO small cooler, if size is important then this is the cooler for you. The build quality of the cooler and fans is second to none. The fans are legendary and I was so impressed I abandoned my plan to get Corsair RGB fans for my case and have now installed Noctua because of their build quality alone. After much consideration over water cooling vs air I decided to go air because I like the look and simplicity. Installation is extremely easy, just a few screws and it's done. The screwdriver tool it comes with is so well built I used it for the rest of the build. As this is the AM4 special edition it fitted my Ryzen motherboard with no problems at all,and being super impatient I didn't have to wait for any adaptor kit or worry that it wouldn't fit.Being big it's a tight fit. I'm using an Asus Prime 370 Pro motherboard with corsair vengeance memory and there was no problem fitting it or with RAM clearance, though it is very close to the graphics card so I later moved the card further down to get more air (though temperature wasn't a problem).

Where do I start? I had a liquid cooler (Coolermaster masterliquid 120) and to be honest there is absolutely no comparison whatsoever. Cooling my Ryzen 7 1800x is a big job that needs a big cooler. In the beginning, I was torn between this monster and the x62 kraken by NZXT but knowing that the later is double the price and the noise I have decided to go with this huge air cooler. I DEFINITELY never regretted it since. It doesn't look as cool and bright as the colourful water coolers but I'm a video-editor I don't care about that, I wanted performance and guess what! That's exactly what I've got. My Ryzen 1800x used to go to as high as 90 C under stress and Idle 45-50 C (without any overclocking). Now the maximum under stress when I overclock it a bit to 3.8 G is 49 C, Can you believe it? Idle at 21-26 C. I absolutely love this Noctua cooler and I definitely recommend it, if you have a hot CPU and you only care about performance. As for noise, I can barely hear it even without the noise adaptor which comes included with the package.Thumbs up Noctua

The largest and post powerful air cooler on the market.Noctua really know how to handle a product and this is no exception; this cooler is a beast both in terms of size and cooling capabilities.Being a water-cooler fan boy i was reluctant to swap to an air cooler but after much research and digging i found that this was the most ideal choice and i was not wrong! compared to my H115i water-cooler from corsair this handles the exact same loads with a fraction in temperature difference (the air cooler runs 1 degree hotter) but by purchasing this you are saving the hassle of water cooler cable management and the fear of a leaky system and nearly £70 in saving compared to the latest water-cooler.*Thisproduct is for AMD CPU's only

After using the FX8150 for nearly 8 years when I finally decided to upgrade to Ryzen 1600x then later to the Ryzen 7 2700x, being that I hate using the stock coolers from any brand, going with the R72700x, I wanted to try Noctua after hearing nothing but good things, the NH-D15 SE-AM4 definitely cools the CPU well, Idol is mid to high 30*C. under gaming it's around low to high 40*C with peeks of 55*C ish, depending on the game.My case is a Silverstone Raven 3, with 3 speed 180mm air penetrator fans, not the stock 2 speed, the case came with, few years before getting Ryzen, I replaced the ageing 180mm fans for the 3 speed versions, also reducing more fan noise while idol, for watching movies and such

Really good heatsink, had the AMD branded heatsink before and it just wasn't cutting it, was frequently hitting 85C plus at full load...installing this one knocked it down to around 65C at load and idling in the 50C's range. It is a big boy and and a slight squeeze getting it in on the motherboard...it's a hair breadth away from my graphics card but it fitted. Installation was straight forward as long as you have good access to the back of the motherboard if replacing an already installed heatsink. Took 30 mins tops to replace with no issues. This is the second time I have brought a big boy like this from Noctua for one of my PC's, always been excellent performers and thoroughly recommend.

I have always been enamoured with Noctua's innovation and build quality, and decided upon this. I was, and still am a fan of the artic freezer pro which is a fantastic value for money heatsinkfan, but this is the heatsink fan par excellence. Suffice to say, if you are thinking of going for this, you know cheaper alternatives exist, but when you consider the noise charictaristics, this extra investment results in a computer that is far more inobtrusive in the noise it makes.

It’s great only thing that let it down was the screw drive, the angled piece of metal that they give you isn’t good enough to put pressure on the screw so could cause the thread to strip as it pulls back with the tension of the spring. Other wise this would have been a five star product! Coupled with the Chromax heat sink covers and it looks amazing, also now even more costly but it will last more years than my water cooling solution before.

This is an absolutely incredible cooler.I wanted the benefits of water cooling without the complexity and risk of leaking pumps and radiators and the NH-D15 SE-AM4 gives me exactly that. Stellar performance, looks great (I dont even mind the fan colours .but YMMV)Using the supplied Wraith Spire with my R5-1600 it used to peak at 85 deg c but with the NH-D15 it won't go over 53 deg c running prime95.Simply put -- an amazing cooler.

I'll keep it short and sweet: I'm now running my Ryzen 5 1600 @ 3.8Ghz with temps around 28-30.Pretty straightforward to install but some may have difficulty getting the second fan on if they have high profile ram. Fans are silent too. Build quality is also high.Only downside is the price - you can get cheaper fans which will do the job while being slightly less effective at cooling but this does an amazing job.

Absolutely fantastic cooler moved from a AIO(CoolerMaster Masterliquid 280 pro) which leaked and damage my motherboard and graphics card this is now being RMAed which can take up to 30 days. I couldn't wait and after a few days of research a went for this and boy am I glad quiet easy to install and great temps. My 1700 is at 3.8Ghz at 1.322 under load and idle at 1.35 (due to Vdroop). Highly recommended ??

I bought this product for my i9-9900k intel chip and it performs very well, even after a few hours it still maintained a temperature of just of 30 degrees which is excellent.Considering my previous one let the chip max out at 70 degrees and cook it self. So top marks for that, one thing to be aware is that it is quite big so you will may have to move components around to fit but all in all a great cooler.
