These have been going round the school playground for the last two weeks and I finally gave in to getting my son one, who's 8. Concerned about the ones with metal cores, these are apparently meant for the more experienced users, we opted for this inexpensive version. It's sturdy enough, weighty enough and he hasn't stopped playing with it, as they do.BUT more IMPRESSIVE is I ordered it at 5.15pm last night and it arrive at 8.40am this morning!!!Haven't rated as durable yet as only just got it but seems sturdy, probably the thing to wear out is the nylon string but that can easily be replaced if need be.

First thoughts when opening? Nice and sturdy, not brittle plastic like some I've seen at much higher price. After first couple of minutes use one of the screws came undone and got lost in the grass.. after much hunting we retrieved it and put the thing back together, and since then its been perfect, often being used for over an hur at a time. Has survived many drops on concrete (often from fair height as you can imagine). Ten year old has mastered many tricks already, thoroughly recommend. Only reason for not giving five stars overall is beacuse of the screw incident and the upset it caused

My 10 year old son paid for this with pocket money after a cheaper version broke within 24hrs. Almost 2 months later this is still going strong (only replaced string once), and it hasn't lost its novelty- in fact it's hard to get him to put it down at times. I've never seen him have so much fun practising/playing with a toy away from the xbox,! It's taught him perseverance to learn new tricks and fantastic co-ordination. Would recommend it as superb value for money.

This was the second diabolo I bought my son of 10 years old. The first one I picked up in a local toy shop for a couple of pounds and it broke the first time he used it. This one has been fab as a learner diabolo. He can do amazing tricks with it and after a month is ready to move on to a better one. Worth every penny. He has diaboloed (?spelling!) before school, during school & after school. it has got him off the computer games without an argument.

This product arrived very well packaged in very good time. It is made of very durable rubber type material of a good weight unlike some cheaper plastic versions i have seen. This makes it much easier to use. The packaging also has a few useful little diagrams on the reverse showing you a few of the basic tricks that can be performed. Which is a nice touch. Overall very good value for money.

Having had a circus day thing at school, my 10 yr old daughter was very excited to have this delivered. She loves practising spinning the diablo and launching it into the air, and is getting better at it every day. As she paid for this out of her own pocket money she is delighted with it and has no complaints. Let's hope she's not quite ready to run away with the circus just yet! ;-)

Bought this for my daughter. didn't want to spend too much as wasn't sure how much it would get played with. Read some reviews about the string breaking but we have had no problems and as far as I am aware it seems as good as any other diabalo - the children have enjoyed playing with it.

PLEASE READ!!!!!This diabolo's edge(the blue bit) is actually RUBBER! It's a lot more durable than ordinary diabolos, much cheaper and more importantly, lots of fun! It's great for children aged 7-11 but that doesn't mean anybody else won't like it!Overall, it is a great product.

Bought 2 of these for my boys for their Christmas. Exceptionally good value. They've had great fun learning how to do it. They had seen it done and the instructions on the back are very good. Good for eye hand and co-ordination. Well worth the money.

I was amazed when my five year old grandson showed interest in a Diablo having seen them myself years ago. He loves it and is getting quite good with it. Good quality heavy rubber which is safe as sometimes it doesn't go where expected!

The Mookie Diablo is a very good toy and i have had loads of fun playing with it...it is well worth the money although i think that it should come witg 2 strings just in case 1 breaks but overall it is a very good product.

This is the best source of amusement ever and thoroughly recommended for an active nearly 6 year old and again she thinks father Christmas is just the best ever for getting her the 1st thing on her list she gave him..

Great starter Diabolo, durable but should be used indoors or at least not on concrete etc. Good delivery, delivered 2 days before estimated delivery. Recommended for a first Diabolo.

our grandchildre found this really difficult when we took it on holiday which made the grownups join it kept us all amused until the rain stopped thanks something a bit different

i can't really say how this has performed as my spoilt 6 year old lost interest in it very quickly. the thing seems sturdy enough and well made so will put away for the future.
