If only the remote's batteries had been fresh.It would have avoided so much confusion! There was a tab to remove from the battery chamber as well indicating they were unused batteries. So not my first concern when the remote function failed to work.Anyway once fresh button cells put into remote it all worked very well and is a really worthwhile investment to this excellent dolls house lighting set.

Check you have the remote ready dolls house before purchasing. If your extension floor isn't remote ready, the lights for both rooms of the extension floor turn on with the remote when the red button, which turns on all lights, is pressed or when the main (kitchen/dinning) rooms lights are turned on. The bottom two buttons on the remote only work with the remote ready extension floor.
