Luminarc is a well known company for "un-breackable" as we used to call them, dineware. I have grown up with those plates, my mother had bought them to replace the horrible plastics. Althought they are glass they are very light and easy to use and very strong if they fall down. They do not break very easily. So I am using them for my kids. Its unfortunate that it so difficult to find them in UK and the price is very expensive here compare to europe. Luckily IKEA brought this quality for 50p each (compare to 6pounds each they are sold online)

Great everyday dinning setI was worried it seemed very light and wouldn't last long but they are surprisingly durableI found it hard to find pretty unpatterenf dinning sets but theses look great and the raised design on the rims makes it stand out from a boring plain white plates. The deeper plate is great for my 6 year old especially when we have rice, peas etc

very nice, lightweight, look clean and classy, salad bowl is very nice too. ordered this item twice from amazon, each time turned up smashed to bits, had to return it. third time ordered through another provider and turned up perfect with fragile plastered over the box, amazon didn't do that.

Good value for money. Very happy with the quality. After reading medical researches, glass is definately the way forward for me.
