You can't call Corelle sturdy--it's virtue is that it's lightweight and compact, which it truly is! These are aesthetically very beautiful, and serve the purpose for which they were designed:

As others have mentioned, the mugs are not made from the same material, they are heavier, and dont really match the bowls, plates and side plates. I did buy the set mainly for the plates.

Love these dishes! Bought them for my daily dinnerware. Just enough flair with out being to plain or too fancy. Durable and stylishish!

Love the set but one salad plate was broken in half. I ordered a replacement from Corelle which is one reason I like these dishes.

Lovely crockery, lightweight, easy to carry when you have difficulty lifting heavier crockery, Best Buy I have ever made.

Gorgeous. The only pattern I ever liked in Corelle. Pricey but I needed the light weight.
