This was bought for our six year old, extremely active son who is extremely energetic and loves boisterous play. The game managed to keep him transfixed, quiet for over an hour and has provided an exercise in dexterity and concentration. The various colours of the fish help keep individuals in track of their conquests and the revolving mechanism, though predictable, manages to keep the players alert. The only down side of this toy is that the rods are very flimsy and are easily broken. Once they are broken, the plastic rods are impossible to fix.the rest of the toy is well made, the fish are a good size and fit well in the grooves. Neat and simple packaging with minimal wastage. The product is really good. Good entertainment for the kids, Will keep them busy. My daughter's nursery use them to fine tune their hand motor and co-ordination skills. The quality of the fish rod and fishes are also better than some of them available in stores. One fish was in two pieces, I thought it had come broken, but realised it was not. It can be joined very easily. Just that the battery panel string is loose and I have to open the screw everytime to refit the battery in place. may be the fault was in the one piece sent to me

I HAVE SEARCHED EVERYWHERE FOR THIS PRODUCT BUT WITHOUT SUCESS.WE HAD AN ORIGINAL MODEL BOUGHT IN THE SEVENTIES AND ENJOYED BY MY CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN, BUT UNFORTUNATELY IT SUFFERED IRREPERABLE DAMAGE AND MY YOUNGEST GRANDAUGHTERS WERE DISTRAUGHT. FOOLISHLY, I PROMISED THEM A REPLACEMENT AND AS TIME HAS PASSED, I HAVE HAD TO EXTEND THE TIME UNTIL fATHER cHRISTMAS DELIVERS.THANKFULLY, HE WILL BE ABLE TO LIVE UP TO MY PROMISE.EXCELLENT PRODUCT, DISPATCHED AND DELIVERED EXPIDITIOUSLY AT A VERY REASONABLE PRICE. A brilliant toy for kids esp. engaging them to play in a group. So pleased I found this one as I’ve seen such toy over 2 decades ago when my cousins used to play and I wanted to buy it since then!The reasons I gave only 4 stars out 5 are:- the so finishing rod’s hanging stick is slightly awkward and therefore need a bit manoeuvring to hook the fish correctly- I wish the price could be a bit cheaper as the kids quickly lose the pieces and you need to buy “C” battery separate!

I give this 5 stars as it keeps my lad entertained for ages, and also helps with hand/ eyee co-ordination. We had purchased another version of this game but it was very cheap, and just broke within a few weeks.This model has stood up to the worst my 2 year old can throw at it. We have had one fish break, but only because he stood on it, cant really fault that.Great little game, and of good quality. I even have a little fish on my own sometimes.

I bought this as a gift for my partner as this year, I am putting my christmas gift theme as memories from her childhood and this is one of them. no doubt it'll bring back something good! well done to amazon for the amazing super fast delivery!! placed the order on sunday and received it tuesday early morning!! 2nd class post?? I used to have a similar toy when I was a little girl and I remember it fondly, so I purchased this toy for Christmas for my 2 and a half year old. She loves it - the fish move around the board very quickly which keeps her on her toes. My 1 1/2 year old loves to put the fish back in the right places. It might not be the most educational toy, but it is great fun!

Really loved this game, bought it for a 2 year old and a 4 year old.They both loved it.It's tricky to master and that's what makes it great.The 2 year old loves it and played it for hours.When he would finally get a fish he was so happy!Very pleased. But it is a little noisy, so not good for at night!

This is quite a simple game but very tricky to lower the hooks into the moving fish's mouths. Probably too difficult for anyone under 3, and even the 3-4 year olds may get a bit frustrated.However it is a fun game for up to 4 players to play and doesn't take very long to play one or two rounds.

My son is 5yrs and enjoys playing this. We usually play it twice, but that's enough, as otherwise it would be repetitive. However, he will then ask to play it again within a week. It does help with his motor skills s nd maths, as he counts up how many fish he caught. Reasonably good game.

my two elder get this kind of game 10 years ago. I remember how they enjoyed it, so I bought this one for my little one.She loved it ! It seems more fragile compared to the old one, but can't really complain for this range of price. I would recommend it for 3-5 years old children

Great game not as easy as it looks but my 4year old grandson just took his time and now beats us Great fun.However Amazon is grossly overpriced I paid £6.99 in an expensive toy shop within a holiday park and we all know how expensive they can be.Come on Amazon you can do better

I wanted to replace the game our children had more than twenty five years ago and this seemed the closest to our original one. The fish move more quickly than the original but young and old played it at Christmas and it was great fun! Will get it out for NYE tonight!

Great but quite fast for younger children. My (just) 3 year old got frustrated as he didn’t have the hand eye coordination to get the hook in the fishes mouth when travelling at speed. I had to keep stoping it so he could have a go. Great for older children though.

Great item for my nephew who loves this game. i didnt like the plastic line though not quite the same thing as a piece of string like i had in the old days, but i guess due to health and safety reasons they made a plastic fishing line instead, overall great though.
