Every child needs to learn about Earth. So, every child needs a globe. Books can only go so far, and children tend to learn better from 3D objects and motion and vision movement such as the videos included with this amazing globe. Cheaper globes are rarely accurate, but this one is accurate. Most globes end up on a shelf gathering dust, but this one doesn't as there is so much to involve the children with this. Also, more than one child can use it at the same time. This means they are more likely to remember what they have learned through talking about it and enjoying it with others. The interactive features set it apart from other globes and make it worth the price. It is actually good value as it will get lots of use while other globes will get left in a cupboard. The videos compete well with what children are used to, which is watching stuff online and they are high quality from a trusted source, so you know what you are getting. It is an impressive size and detail and children love it.It would make a great Christmas gift and gives them something fun, exciting and educational to do over the holidays. It is also good for imaginative play as it stimulates thinking about places, journeys and adventures! It can also be used as a way to ground discussion on the environment, culture, society and people and difference. It can be used as a tool for discussion and understanding beyond geography and into many other subjects.Excellent for any child and great for playgroups or classrooms. It will last with a lot of use and is sturdy and strong. I'm very pleased with this excellent globe. A good investment for your child's learning and future.

What a wonderful product I like using this myself never mind my granddaughter, its such fun using a pen like thing to place it on the globe map and it shows up on the screen as a video. I hope to be able to get my granddaughter off the computer and use this its more educational and fun then the games she plays on PC. You can also download more content once they get bored.First you press the button depending on your age (mine doesn't show lol) place the pen on an area of the globe and it tells you in spoken word (a pre recording) what country it is even though it has it written on the globe lol. There is various features on the globes base such as Continent, Time, Features, Name, Area, History,Capital, Geography, Language, Currency etc etc then you have another section for time in that place compared to the UK or wherever you are, Distance, Currency etcA great idea for education for young kids (I even enjoyed it myself) but question is will it keep using it or will they go back to the games console. I hope not but I am sure this wont be the case for every child. For instance they might have some home work they want to check up on something that is related. It certainly makes a change from the ordinary globe we had in schools before all this tech. A nice educational toy and reference tool for very young kids (and some adults maybe)

This large interactive globe had my 7 year old middle nephew's name written all over it - combining in one his love of animals, interest in travel and countries, and his obsession with anything that is tech. Even without the interactive features and BBC wildlife videos, this is a nicely made globe - big, colourful, and clearly readable. With them, it turns an attractive, well-presented learning aid into a highly desirable toy that my nephew is happy to go and get, and sit with for ages. The controls are straightforward and easy to use - young without being too babyish (the worst condemnation my nephew can bestow). The chunky, but not over-wide corded stylus is a good idea: it works effectively, the size and shape are good for primary-aged pupils using a tripod grip, and the cable means that it's not going to get misplaced. The sizeable powered base gives the globe good stability. The one downside to this lovely globe is that it does seem to get through a lot of batteries - though encouragingly that reflects how much it gets used! Rechargeables work, but don't seem to last terribly long. It is nice that this uses AA batteries rather than the pricier C or D sizes that might have been anticipated from the size of the toy.

Our youngest daughter is obsessed with geography and we thought this would ideal for her. It comes with a couple of AA batteries to get you started (yay!). The globe itself is a decent size - somewhere between the size of a football and a beach ball. One of the things I like about it is that it can be used just a regular globe (which it’s a very decent globe - nice quality and accurate). Or you can use the interactive features with the built in stylus. A couple of minor gripes about the interactivity - after a while the voice gets a bit grating and also you can download extra content but it’s not free which is a bit disappointing considering the price if this in the first place. However, overall were impressed and our daughter loves using it both as a regular globe and as an interactive learning toy.

Leapfrog has been entertaining and educating children for years. This is a brilliant addition to a home or playgroup. My partner was in Asia for a few weeks so when this arrived my grandkids and I searched until we found where he was. I was impressed that the globe was so detailed. This is an interesting educational tool that kids would find more fun that a book.An annoying voice and short cable for stylus, I’d still recommend this globe.

The globe is very nice and kids can have loads of fun. But its expensive when compared with other sellers in amazon. The price now is £80 but when I bought it was £110. £30 more when compared. I guess it was as there were no others selling at that moment and the seller simply shoot the price up. Bit disappointed now to learn the actual price of it and feeling like robbed but product is great.

A gift for our grandson that will last him a very long time. the fact that you can download more Geographical information as time goes on is an extra bonus. The globe is adaptable for a range of ages, beginning with picture imagery but introducing more complex, interesting geographical information to suit a range of ages, even through to adult education. A great learning tool.

This has proved to be an excellent Christmas present to my 8 year old grand daughter. She is so involved with it that she has written a twenty page notebook on details she has learnt sinceSanta brought it! I do worry for her teacher if she starts asking him questions on geography!

A great educational toy. My 7 year old daughter loves it. The little tv screen is great quality too. I am a primary school teacher & I think it offers lots of educational opportunities for young children, as well as being fun to play. The quizzes on it are great too.

I have bought this for my grandchildren but also for myself as I want to learn about all the countries too.Due to the lockdown, the children haven't seen it yet so I can't write an accurate review yet.It does look very impressive and looking forward to using it soon.

Fantastic quality and very charming to see it in action. My nephew now can point to countries immediately when asked! Its doing its job and he has so much fun doing it. I want more of these because it is so interactive and he learns so much already.

I brought this for my child who is in year 3 currently and was wanting to know where countries were. He has not stopped playing with it. It is bigger than I imagined it to be but if it helps his learning I am all for it.

My child is only 4 and a half and although this globe is above her age range she loves playing with it ,especially the explore function. Pity that the dinosaur function didn't come already loaded on.

A fun learning tool. Only had it a week so can’t really judge durability but hoping it’s as good that way as the leap frog ice cream cart which we’ve had ages

Great gift purchased for my grandson although he is a bit young for it (3). Very interesting and easy to use. Been brushing up on geography with the quizzes.
