This was a few minutes of faff to assemble, it involves the platform being upside down and trying to get a bar with the legs already attached the right way round and the bars even remotely in the right place. Its not all that easy but im a flat pack master so i got the hang of it. I was a bit concerned that it would snap as i forced the locking pins/bars into the holes but it snapped into place without disaster.I have ADHD, i cant sit still, this is made for me, i can slip my shoes off and massage my feet/play with the bumps with my toes, i can rock it backwards and forwards and it even moves up and down! This feels fairly sturdy,im sure i could break it if i put my mind to it but in regular use it will be fine and last well.I cant really feel the bumps with my shoes on so if ur not fond of the bumps just keep your shoes on.This is suitable for any twitchy person with short legs who need something to rest their feet on under a desk, or for a desk with many different people sitting there as its easily adjustable.

Objectively speaking this foot rest is strong, fairly sturdy and well built in general. It has good height adjustment and the legs/stumps stop it from sliding all over the place. The surface tilts allowing you to gently rock and exercise your ankles. Kensington claim this will invigorate your ankles and legs, and to some extent it does especially if you've been sitting down for some while. The surface area has bumps that are suppose to help massage your feet. I personally found this to be slightly uncomfortable, however I am usually wearing shoes or slippers when uses this so it's not really a big deal for me. The foot rest is very good quality overall, it is quite solid, durable and does a good job.I bought this on sale for £16 which I think is a very good price. I don't think I would've bought it for its normal price of £31 which is practically double the price. At that price the Amazon Basic foot rest (normally £14) would be a better option. Hope this helps.

Was unsure of this, at first I thought it was a foot massager type thing, a bit like the ones everyone is trying to get rid of round car boots etc, however its not the same. You receive a well made foot rest which has bobbles on it which stimulate and massage the foot, the way the rest is positioned readjusts your sitting position which should help with some aches associated with poor posture when sat at a desk.Although I don’t sit at the desk as much as I have done in the passed I still suffer from poor posture, my main problem is a dead leg, cramp in my calf and foot, which I’ve put down to the way I sit, I tend to tuck my legs under my seat.Using the rest has made me adjust the way I sit,far more up right and its stopping me putting my feet under me, at the moment I’ve not seen much change, I still get the odd cramp but I do think prolonged use of the foot massager will benefit me.

Arrived today with a slight shock as it didn't match product image, to my error the title of this footrest is not the footrest being displayed, it's a better one! This footrest is much better than the black bumby product image one, sleek white and with memory foam and gel on the top! Great stuff, accept it appears mine has an imperfecton in the gel material on the left side where my heel would sit, so there is an indent in the gel material which is noticable a little bit...So a great footrest, wasn't sure wether or not i should buy a footrest, but now I'm sold (literally) on this footrest! Don't hesitate but keep in mind that if mine has an impefection, yours MIGHT; probably get on seeing if i can get this thing swapped. So yes 5stars! But because of mine having an imperfection, the chances of it being me are slim, but none the less an imperfection; 4 stars.

The footrest looks exactly like the picture - hard plastic, no sign of any 'comfort gel' anywhere. It's a good size/width and adjusts/gets higher by tilting the base (not by rising up any higher). This is perfect for me, but I just wanted to say that I got exactly the same product as the picture - a previous reviewer must have struck lucky with his upmarket version! Arrived on the second day - no problems at all. Gave it four stars because it makes a clicking noise when I bend and flex my feet -wierd!2/8/2011 - Just heard back from the company. Definitely no comfort gel top/cover on this item. I like all the knobbly bits on my feet, but just incase you thought that 'Solemate Comfort Gel'means a soft surface -it doesn't!

This is a pretty good foot rest from Kensington. The foot rest provides a massive, adjustable board to stretch and move your feet about in comfort. The foot rest has 2 different adjustable heights and you can lay it down flat if that is your preference. The foot rest has massaging bumps, which you can run your feet across to help stimulate and soothe them. The foot rest is supplied flat packed, but is simplistic enough to assemble.A basic instruction leaflet is provided. The foot rest is made of black hardened plastic and has 4 legs with rubber grips,to help prevent slippage.

Here at Chez Bee we like to be DSE compliant and good foot rest makes all the difference when you at your desk all day. I wanted something that was good quality but not too expensive. This ticked all the boxes. I've been using it now for about a month and it really helps with my posture when sitting at my desk and has minimised my sciatica by improving my posture.

I work from home and have been after a foot rest for a while.I am quite pleased with this one. I like that it has adjustable heights and the bumps on it which allow you to massage your feet. It has good grips so doesn't move around either. It is quite large though and so I did struggle to fit it under my desk.Generally I am pleased.

I'd broken my last foot rest so thought I'd splash out on something really nice as I spend a lot of time working from home. The gel top on this item is wonderfully comforable. I just don't like using it with my shoes on as I think that would scuff up the cover.Excellent build quality as well.

I love the fact that this moves on both sides, instead of being completely static and just on one side, as my old one was. However, not easy, and quite noisy, to assemble, so prepare for some stares if you put it together in the office.

Bought this to make my desk more ergonomically correct and it does the job well. It also feels great on the feet and doesn't feel too much like plastic but I stead almost like it is cushioned on the feet. Great improvement.

This was very easy to put together. I wanted it to help with my plantar fasciitis which I don't think it will do but I don't think it'll hurt it either. It definitely makes sitting at my desk more comfortable

Well made foot rest, well packed & easy to open. Very simple to assemble. Unfortunately too big for my purpose. I need it to fit in the passenger footwell of my car. No problem with return to Amazon.

5.9.2010

Easy to use - does not slip on vinyl flooring - fits nicely under armchair - lightweight - can move foot position while resting - absolutely excellent and very good value.

Easy to assemble, solid construction and stays put. Also love the textured surface, great for massaging your feet ( don't forget to take your shoes off first!)
