One of several video-purposed cables (most also support audio channels) available from the brand, the "KabelDirekt 2m 4K 60HZ DisplayPort Cable / Version 1.2 - TOP Series" is also available in shorter and longer lengths. Probably, either 1.5 m will suit the majority of users, allowing some flexibilty in the layout of their computer hardware. At worst, the main unit could be to one side of your desk and the monitor on the other possibly using a 2m cable which should then drape between them with some slack. Although a 1.5 m cable was first tried when settling on a workable and practical layout, the distances between components and relevant socket positions requires a 2 m cable to avoid connection stress. In the past, several DP cables were obtained from various on-line sources a few of which survived several weeks of use, many only days and a few only minutes or less. Another that was quite expensive continued to provide service for more than 2½ years and was only disconnected to try this one. Unfortunately for the unwary, some cables claiming to support DisplayPort 1.2 are clearly inferior and not up to the task and may burn out immediately upon powering up the devices at either end, as did a number of those tried. The least expensive ones need not be the worst.KabelDirekt's cables are warranted to fully support DisplayPort 1.2 and specifically 4K output at 60Hz and a bandwidth of 17.28 GHz; they may even support slightly higher refresh rates where possible. They will obviously also fully support DP 1.1.The moulded plastic connectors have a broad blue diagonal band as do their HDMI ones and it offers some good grip textures. The plug bodies are smoothly rounded. The cabling is quite thick but not unduly stiff and apparently employs foil shielding internally for the best performance. Thus far, the cable is delivering to expectations and as promised. KabelDirekt is a German brand and their pricing is surprisingly low for the quality they offer. Some cable types are designated as 'PRO Series', others 'TOP Series' and they are better quality than many at similar or higher prices.

This is simply the best DisplayPort Cable I have ever bought. Why?It's a high quality well built thick cable. 4K at 60hz works as expected and most importantly, it doesn't have any locking connectors!Every other cable I have used before has the awful little locking pins which are intended to hold the cable in the socket. All they actually do is ensure that once a cable has been inserted, it is very difficult to remove. With the daft little pins one has to press down with massive force on the release button while at the same time yanking on the cable. It then flies out and I bash me hand. It's even worse when the cable is in the back of the monitor and one can barely get a grip on it,yet you are expected to completely depress the button or it will never come out. This is often made worse because the cheap shoddy cables tend not to have a properly functioning button and so even when fully depressed with massive force the locking pins are not fully retracted, making removal even more difficult. However, this cable has none of these problems. It has no shoddy buttons or nasty locking pins at all!Clearly the people at KabelDirekt realised the locking pin system was a failure which served no useful purpose. And so they have not included it on their cables. And so for those reasons, I will certainly be buying only KabelDirekt DisplayPort Cables in future. I couldn't recommend them more. Also, it's worth bearing in mind that all the cables I could find which were cheaper than this one has the hopeless locking mechanism. I would certainly pay more to not have to deal with it so clearly KabelDirekt are onto a winner by omitting it.

First impression are of a quality HDMI cable, one of the better low priced cables I’ve used. The cable will connect a HDMI to HDMI which is the standard used in High Definition equipment .The cables is thick, which doesn’t leave it very flexible, its was pretty rigged around the back of the TVThe plugs are excellent, gold plated with a good solid connectionCables are compatible with 4K 60HZ TV, I’ve neither so can commentAs far as improving the picture then I’ve never been convinced a better cable helps, what it does is give a very good connection which won’t drop out etc.I’ve tried the cable with a couple of bits of equipment, first with a Sky Q box connected to my Panasonic 55” Plasma,I swapped the standard HDMI cable for this and didn’t see any improvement in picture, but I did like how the cable fitted and sat.I then swapped it with another set up I have in another room, connected to a Humex Freesat box and connected to my Sony 50” LCD, again no noticeable improvement, I’m leaving the cable in as again I do like the fit and the quality is outstandingIf you need an HDMI cable and you want quality then this is well worth a buy, various length are available I used a 1.2 meter one when testing everything

I'm fairly impressed with this cable (though overall not a big fan of DisplayPort as a tech right now). After reading up online I wasn't expecting much from it as everywhere I read said that DisplayPort cables over 3m reduce bandwidth (which I'm sure is true to an extent) I was surprised to find, however, that I was actually able to achieve 1440p/144hz on the 10m version of this cable. What I did find though, is that how well this (or any) DisplayPort cable works is really dependant on the bits of equipment you have connected at either end. I have a GTX1080TI so it has plenty of power to drive the signal however I initially tried this cable with a Dell U2414H monitor and found it didn't work on DisplayPort 1.2 and even on 1.1 caused booting issues etc.I received a new monitor,an Asus MG279Q which is a 1440p 144hz and I've had no boot issues with it connected and I'm getting the full 1440p 144hz connection over this cable. So for those of you saying it doesn't work for you, it may not be the cable, but the equipment you're attaching it to

KabelDirekt is a family-run company, founded in Germany in 2010, with the mission of offering good-quality HDMI cables at competitive prices. The company now offers a growing range of interconnect cables, plus other audio & video accessories, many of which are also available via Amazon. I have used quite a few of the company's various products and have found them all to be well-made and very reasonably priced for the quality offered. DisplayPort is a modern digital display interface designed by VESA as a replacement for older standards such as DVI and VGA and is intended for use with demanding multimedia applications like gaming. This KabelDirekt TOP Series DisplayPort cable supports 4K 60HZ and is available in seven lengths from a half to ten metres on the same Amazon product page – I have a one metre version which seems good value at under eight pounds currently from Amazon. This cable works as expected and should be suitable for many DisplayPort applications including back-compatibility with earlier versions.

This is a rather no-fuss, very straightforward chunky DisplayPort cable. It’s nothing pretty or clever but for connecting a computer to a monitor with the minimum of fuss, how can you fault it? It is surprisingly thick and the black colour is somewhat plain (apart from the blue flourishes on the connectors) but for a cable that’s probably going to be out of sight as soon as you’ve connected it, appearance isn’t really important. What matters is that it works (obviously) in the resolutions it’s meant to support, and that it clicks into place firmly with a very decent build quality, making it a fully successful “does what it says on the tin” cable. It is worth noting that this is a DisplayPort 1.2 cable, which at time of writing isn’t the latest specification. If you’re thinking of really high-end uses then it’s worth considering what the differences between 1.2 and later versions are (4K support, basically), but for everyday office use on regular sized, regular-resolution monitors 1.2 is easily enough.

This cable was tested accepting that the cable is only an HDMI 1.2 cable. HDMI standards are a total mess and thats not the fault of the cable. It works fine for 60p 4k video and dolby digital/ DTS audio. The cable itself is nice and rugged and has sleek straight in in connectors. What 1.2 won't do the deeper colour range HDR video for that you need an HDMI 2 cable. I used my Apple TV's 4k calibration test to confirm the ability of the cable and it happily synced to my TV at 4k 60fps with standard dynamic range. Running it from my 4k bluray player I had nice crisp 4k pictures. I also tried the cable out as an Audio sync cable to my AV Amplifier; it worked fine for DTS and dolby digital but itdidnt play DTS HD.HDMI is a mess; check you are getting the right cable for your equipment - if you dont have HDR its a fine 4k cable. If you want to use it with your AV receiver it won't do HD theatre audio; but it works fine for the older standards. The cable feels fine and worked fine within its limits.

TIP===There are quite a few types of this type of cable. I've had problems when they've come from a marketplace seller. If it's from Amazon you're all right.HQ===This is a very high quality cable. It looks nice and works without any problems.WELL MADE===========The cable, for me, is less prone to tangling as it has thicker rubber/plastic material. It's a displayport cable. I needed it to have a laptop link up with a screen, and it was faultless. Perfect picture. The digital audio was fantastic.SIZE====They have various sizes. Mine was 1mWELL MADE===========The cable, for me, is less prone to tangling as it has thicker rubber/plastic material.OVERALL========Looks prettier than some and it works wellPROBLEMS==========Some cables are prone to being faulty,or are not that well made. This is at the other end of the spectrum. They're faultless. Look nice and work without any issues.

I purchased this item for my LG 27UD69P, given that the advert stated it could transmit 60hz at 4k, I was delighted to see a cable at 3m with a good price.Unfortunately, my monitor will not switch on with this cable and there is no signal from PC to Monitor. as it stands, I am out of pocket by £10 now and the cable is sat in my drawer collecting dust.Any future people that decide to purchase this cable, please make sure you keep the packaging and open with care, unlike me, who tore it open in a state of excitement.Shame, as the cable is made from sturdy material and the connections look to be of a good quality.Just as an edit to my rating, I have gone from a 1 star to 4 stars as,the sellers communication is outstanding and due to the cable not working, they have offered a refund and the option to purchase a new one! Many thanks

Good quality, not egregiously priced, cable which should give perfectly acceptable results.DisplayPort, being digital means that there's no way to "improve" an image no matter how "good" the cable is, but given the bandwidth that some displays require, it doesn't do to skimp.DisplayPort is turning itself into a bit of a confusing minefield, or rather retailers are. DisplayPort 1.2 isn't an official designation, it's a marketing term to emphasise that the cable is capable of 4K at 60Hz. Unless it's marked as RBR (Reduced Bit Rate - ie 1080P only) and DisplayPort cable should be capable of this, or it doesn't meet specification. This KabelDirekt cable should work with any current 4K display that has a DisplayPort port, but as usual do your own research.

The KabelDirekt 0.5m HDMI Cable is a low cost HDMI cable that suitable for use with most modern TVs, DVD and Blu Ray players etc.The cable arrives in a sealed up clear plastic bag without any branding other than on the complimentary quality control leaflet inside. The cable also comes with the golden contacts (note not actual gold-plated ones like the higher end cables) protected with plastic shields. The cable itself is a good thickness, with plenty of flexibility and play in it. The connector ends feel strong and sturdy and able to withstand a fair few accidental tugs or knocks. The picture quality from Blu Ray to TV with this lead is excellent. All in all I can’t really fault the cable. It’s a good price but seems to be really quite well made.

I'm gradually replacing my various computer monitors with 4K monitors, for which Display Port cables are essential. For that matter, most modern video cards come with several display port outputs and perhaps a single HDMI port. I wanted to have cables as short as possible to minimise cable tangle, but this 0.5 metre cable is possibly a bit too short - it's length is the same as the width of a 28" monitor, so unless the video card in your computer is completely lined up with the input on the back of your monitor, it may not reach. It's more patch-panel length really, and ideal for that. The blue flash on the plugs looks like a bit of electrician's insulating tape, but it's actually the KabelDirekt logo.At least it makes the plugs distinctive.

This is a review of the 0,5m 4K 60HZ DisplayPort Cable as other lengths of cable are available in this listing. It is simply packaged on polythene and looks to be good quality with the cable made out of a flexible rubberised material with the connectors securely located at both ends. There is a contrasting blue flash that makes it easier to locate which is a nice feature. It has worked well so far with a clear picture with no interference on my Samsung Monitor and Lenovo laptop and I will update this review if I have any future problems. This is ideal for putting in your laptop bag for connecting to high-resolution desk monitors via DisplayPort, The overall appearance is a premium cable,it works well and is competitively priced.

Solid, robust cable that's well insulated and sealed.I've used this for rigging up my macbook to a 4K monitor for video editing.DisplayPort is a Video Electonics Standards Association (VESA) connector, so other brands of laptops and computers have them and are found in more recent models - with the popularity of 4K rising, I imagine a lot more will be included in new build systems. It's being favoured over DVI as it's slimmer and more compact as a connector to add to the side of a laptop, without the need for conversion boxes and cables of another head.It works great for plugging computers in to capable screens.

This review concerns the KabelDirekt 2m 4K 60HZ DisplayPort Cable / Version 1.2 - TOP Series, price at review £8.49.Available at very competitive prices this range of DisplayPort leads come very highly recommended.Available in a wide range of lengths the rubberised, reasonably flexible lead is attenuated with very high quality end pieces that form a solid connection to any device. In addition to this DisplayPort variant the manufacturer also offer a complete range of audio, video and computer connectors - many of which are in constant use in our home. All represent excellent value for a mid priced product.
