It’s been a year now since we have it. My daughter she loves it ! When we first brought it she was still quite young to understand what it does or what to do with it (she was 18 months?). She goes to swimming classes so she I wanted to push her more by introducing toys. She has been taking classes since she was 6 months old.As she sees the toys quite frequently at home she plays with it and is familiar with it as well. Now that she’s much older she understand and tries to copy what we are showing her to do. She confidently goes underwater for a few seconds and tries to put it up. Of cos we don’t expect her to pick it up from a 0.9m pool we used the pool steps for her to pick it up easily. It’s just to make her use to going underwater - feeling confident to dip her head for as long as she can. And obviously consistent is the key. As it is colourful she has learn the colours as well. Usually I will ask her to bring me a certain colour and she will do it happily! It’s flexible enough that it doesn’t snap when bend in all kinds of way by a toddler. The only reason for one star down is cause of the weight it is written on it. When I throw all of them together all of them sink together readily to the bottom no one is faster or slower than the other. So it doesn’t really work. Also I find that it sinks too fast ! Would be nice to play ready steady catch game! That’s the only downside.

I purchased these dive sticks to develop my 6 year olds confidence in the water - which they have! At the recent end of term fun session all the kids came over and joined in. They all had great fun and quickly came up with several ways to play; who could retrieve them the quickest, who could get the most points (the sticks all have different values printed on the ends - love the fact we can practice maths skills in the pool too!), even the younger ones were able to join in - throwing them in for the siblings to bring back.I opted for these sticks as they were considerably cheaper than the Zoggs ones (I paid £4.51 for mine), and you got more sticks.Yes, they take a few seconds to sink down in the pool, but this for me was a good thing - even the little ones (4yrs) felt that they'd joined in with the underwater games as they were able to catch them whilst they were still near the surface. The sticks themselves are just a plastic tube with slits at either end to let in water to make them sink. They seem quite durable, and the design means that they 'stand up' on the pool floor nicely. All in all, me and the children are really happy with this purchase and they are now a permanent addition to the swimming bag! Have already recommended to several friends.Great price, great product, great fun! What more could you ask for?!

Wanted these for our summer holiday abroad for the pool and I debated these over the Zoggs for quite some time especially considering all the good reviews for the Zoggs and nothing on these. After much debate I bought these due to being cheaper and two extra sticks. This way I thought if any get lost while away its not such a big deal. I am very pleased to say they were a great purchase, one did go missing but thankfully that still means we have four left and they work great, sink well and made from soft flexible plastic. My kids (and others in the pool) spent hours diving for them. Even though not in the description they also have different points on each stick for more competitive play however my children are young so we didn't introduce that aspect (too much stress over fall outs)but great for when they are older. All in all a great purchase, lots of fun and increase water confidence.

Our 8 year old had tons of fun on holiday diving for these. They stand up in their ends under water so easy to see and grab. They’re not too heavy for the suitcase and you can collect them by the colour of the stick, ends, numbers or try to collect them all before they get to the bottom. We sometimes got her retrieve them by answers to maths problems (yes, we are mean parents making her do maths on holiday ?)We found they’ve made her more confident and a better diver/swimmer through everyday play over the course of our last 2 holidays. The only problem is other children swarming around wanting to play too!

We choose the intex sticks as they offered a good value for money alternative to other well known brands. They are lovely bright colours so easy to see under the water and made from a lovely flexible plastic. My little girl was already very water confident at the surface but these are helping her to learn about how to dive down. The two reasons I haven't given them 5 stars is first they do sink a bit too quickly so not much opportunity to try and catch them before they reach the bottom. Second there is no bag to transport them in supplied. But regardless for the price I would so recommend these to anyone.

This product is excellent. There are a number of games that we came up with using these, not just throwing them into the pool and retrieving them. They sink gently to the pool floor, so one of the games was seeing if we could get them before they reached the bottom. They have values on them too, so a good way to get the kids to do a little maths on holiday without realising it! Very bright and durable too. They will be coming on holiday every year with us now.

Good toys but I wish I’d of spent a little more money and purchased the zogg sinkies as they sink a lot quicker therefor don’t drift away like these do. If they’re just to be used for confident swimmers to retrieve they are a good product. We purchased these to encourage our 2 year old to be more confident putting his face in the water but he either gets them before they’ve sank or they’ve drifted too far towards the deep end for us to allow him to try.

My kids loved these diving pool sticks! We've used them for our holiday and throughout the summer. They sink quite slowly which is good fun for our youngest who would race to see if she could grab it before it hit the bottom of the pool. They are numbered, so this also gave us a game for the girls to collect them in number order.Great fun all round and a lot cheaper than the branded diving sticks!

Perfect for teaching someone how to swim. They sink quite slowly which is a bit of a down side but they are brightly coloured so easy to see in the water and light enough that it wouldn't hurt too much if an irresponsible kid threw them and they hit a stranger on the head. The numbers are a great addition for creating some competition or encouraging some quick maths while holding your breath.

I bought these for my 5 and 7 year olds to play with on a recent villa holiday in Greece. They sink nicely and stand vertically at the bottom of the pool ready to be collected. They have a points value on the end, so can help with maths too! My husband also had fun diving for them and seeing if he could collect all 5 in one go. Excellent price and good fun. Will use at our local pool too.

We've had these for almost 6 months now and we go swimming every sunday. These are absolutely brilliant in the pool. My daughters enjoy fetching them and also making me fetch them. They sink quite quick. We brought an older cousin once and she also had great fun learning to dive down under water in the big pool to get the sticks. They are great for their swimming confidence and ability.

My kids have loved diving to the bottom of the pool for these. I had got fed up with my partner throwing the locker key in the pool for them to get, everytime I wondered if I would be going home without my clothes because the key had been lost forever at the bottom of the pool or in a filter. these are great they even have points on them so you can make a game out of them too.

Very pleased with the quality of these play sticks, excellent strong colours to see underwater and nice touch having clear numbers on one end. My son aged 3 was delighted to put on his goggles and hunt for the "treasure", also good learning aid in respect to number recognition. I can see these will be a long term pool activity for him, fabulous price too thank you Intex

I have been shopping around for the best value dive sticks for my boys knowing that they will probably get lost/stolen at some point during our holiday! These were the best I could find - price versus number of sticks. They seem fairly robust - well packaged, and if anything are better and stronger than I expected them to be for the competitive price.

My son recently got goggles for his 5th birthday and therefore has anew love for going under the water. Therefore I brought these to help him further this skill. We had great fun throwing them and racing to get them before they reached the floor (made especially fun by each stick having a different weight and therefore rate of sinking).
