Great product to introduce you to Macro photography without the need to buy an expensive lens. This is not the most extreme version Hoya do (think there is a UP+4 version) but it works very well.It works by shortening the focusing range of your lens so you can get up close to objects and get a focused shot, and I'm talking on an EF-S 18-55mm at 55mm zoom below 10cm!!If you have a wide angle as well it produces stunning shots, you could spend hours of creative fun with this lens. I urge if you want to do macro photography but don't want a new lens buy this!

Have the whole set of these from +1 to +10 (although the +10 is a 49mm filter because Hoya don't make a 46mm filter at this magnification). These are good quality filters - I have a couple of Hoya UV filters and a polarising filter as well. They're easy to attach and remove. Magnification quality of this filter is impressive on my Panasonic 20mm f/1.7 lens. Am pleased I bought it!

I bought this filter as a quick fix to enable me to take macro photographs with a standard 24-85mm zoom lens. I already own a 105mm macro lens, but this filter lets me take macro photographs with a wider variety of focal lengths. When I compare the results using this filter at 85mm and the macro lens, the quality is almost as good. Excellent value for money.

Good brand - good item - great price all equals a great deal. Amazon has supplied a lot of my photo kit. If I cannot buy it at the airport at a % less than high street I know that Amazon will come up with the goods.

Filter arrived quickly and well-packaged, so happy with what I got for the money.Have previously bought Hoya filters and found them to be good quality.
