I was asked if I’d like to review the Star Wars E2176ES0 Mighty Muggs Princess Leia Organa No.4 Figure and I said yes.I’m a huge Star Wars fan and have a large collection of items from all the films, (I started collecting Star Wars way back in 1977 when the films originally started.I’ve already bought some of these Might Muggs Star Wars from a toy store in the next town. They didn’t have this one, (figure 4), as they’d all sold out. :-( Therefore, I was over the moon to get this to review. :-)This figure are 4 inches tall, so it’s a decent size. All figures are sold separately, (they don’t sell them in sets). Each of the Star Wars Mighty Muggs figures come in a sturdy plastic box. These boxes can also be stacked on top of one another, (so it saves room, which is a plus for me). These figures are well made and sturdy, so they should last. The figures are by Hasbro and made in China. The figure can be removed easily from it’s box. You’ll find some of the boxes have tape over the fasteners and some don’t. If you do have tape just cut it with a pair of scissors, (the boxes also have a piece of tape on the front and back of the box to stop the figure from dropping out when you open the fasteners). Next, turn the fasteners, (I used a two pence coin to turn the fasteners), and then you can remove your figure. You’ll find the instructions in a little plastic bag which has been taped behind her in the box.I only took the figure out of it’s box once to inspect that it was alright and there was no damaged to it.This figure has three different facial expressions. All you have to do to see each expression is push down gently onto the top of the figures head, (you don’t need the figure out of the box, there’s an opening in the top so you can push the head down). The three emotions Princess Leia has are Happy, Sad and Angry.Stated on the front of the box, (at the bottom), is that this toy is for 6+, (the product page details states “Manufacture recommended age: 4 years and up”, so according to the toy box this statement is wrong). This would make a great gift for any Stars Wars fan and collector.I can recommend this product.

This is the second Mighty Muggs Chewbacca figure, quite different to the first one that was in the first wave of Mighty Muggs figures. This is from the the 2018 range that include characters from the Star Wars and Marvel universes and switches between three different facial expressions when you press down on the top of his head. When you press his head down there is about a 75% success rate, sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't spin round and change. Even following the instructions that he needs to stand on a flat surface, I don't really understand why this is, but it doesn't detract from your enjoyment that much. The three facial expressions are mildy grumpy, roaring and stupidly happy.I can't say any of the faces look anything like the Chewbacca you see in the films, but you can tell it's him, from his general brown colour and the shoulder slung bullet belt that is printed over his torso.Getting Chewbacca out of his plastic case is a little bit harder than you might imagine. The bottom grey section of the box has two grey plastic screw fittings and are marked with locked and unlocked padlocks rendered in grey on a grey background. I eventually deduced that he is supplied with the screws oriented in one direction and they are unlocked when at right angles. The transparent plastic box lid is held in place during shipping by four little strips of transparent tape, which can be removed cleanly when you realise they are what is holding the lid on. When the tape is removed two little clips hold the lid in place and any attempt to transport the box without the tape in place will result in it coming off.The switchable facial expression is a bit of a one-trick pony. That's all it does - Chewbacca sits on your shelf and you can click the button. Maybe you switch him to match your own mood? Personally I have more than three moods, and I guess Chewbacca's stupidly happy is the one that matches mine best. Or maybe grumpy...In summary, possibly a collectable figure, maybe it leverages Chewbacca's appearance in the recent Solo film. Doesn't really look that much like him, but that's the whole idea of the Mighty Muggs series.

Mighty Muggs have been going for quite a while, predating the recent wider trend of figure collection but were stopped about 8 years back. The recent resurgence in characters has also created this new form where the head can be pressed to reveal different facial expressions. The new ones have so far features Star Wars and Avengers. This review is for Rey from Star Wars in her Jakku costume. The boxes reflect the attitude that these are designed as much for collectors as for kids. The thick clear plastic case has a hole to allow you to change the face without removing the character and also allows you to see the whole body inside the case. Each character also has a card background with relevant artwork.Taking off the case is just a matter of taking the sellotape off the base and pulling gently up, leaving the character standing on the base with two plastic lugs that can be twisted with a coin or screwdriver to free the figure. This is a far better system than wire or string and means that the character is easy to place back on the base and in the case for display or safekeeping. The Rey figure really gets the spirit of the character. She holds her Lightsaber and is wearing the brown Jakku costume. The three faces are smiling, angry and determined, which capture her brilliantly. The arms are slightly posable though don't provide much movement and the body is very stiff to twist, clicking as it does, so posing is not really much of an option. As a toy, the Mighty Muggs are chunky and should be fairly difficult to damage, my daughter loves their faces and characteristics. The face changing feature went down really well.Overall, these new face changing Mighty Muggs are great for both collectors and kids alike.

This Star Wars Mighty Mugg of Kylo Ren works in the same way as other Mighty Muggs, that is to say when you push down on Kylo's hairpiece his face spins through three different expressions. In keeping with the character none of Kylo's three expressions seem to radiate joy and kindness and are probably best described as 'annoyed', 'enraged' and 'psychotic' but at least you get a choice of negativity. You could sit him on your desk and set his facial expressions to pre-warn approaching colleagues of your current mood, but if these three expressions seem appropriate to your general demeanour then colleagues probably already know to give your desk a wide berth. For younger Star Wars fans he's more of a collectible than a toy because, apart from the violent mood swings, he doesn't really do very much else. His arms are slightly articulated, but only just, and the light sabre is firmly gripped in his right hand and he ain't letting go. His hair has a rubbery quality to it that's different to other Might Muggs, but it seems securely fixed in place. The head can also be rotated so he faces backwards, if that's necessary. On ours the actual face seems very slightly out of alignment with the rest of the figure but it's nitpicking really. More annoying is the head-spin action which is a bit fickle and sometimes doesn't work unless you really tap his head firmly, but maybe Kylo's just being awkward. For completist fans of any age they're cute figures that don't do much but look good on your shelf and can be locked into the case (or just onto the base) and left on display. For younger kids there isn't much to play with here, they don't do much, and you can find much more exciting Star Wars items.

This is a cute & engaging collectible, clearly intended to rival Funko. Everything about it has been designed with collectors in mind. Don't want to take it out of the box so it retains its value? No problem, it has a see-through plastic box! The logos on the front of the box do restrict the view slightly, though. However, the model can be taken out of the box & put back in easily. The boxes' base features two large, plastic screws which attach to the model, so it can be taken in & out easily but stays securely in place once inside. Treat it carefully & nobody would ever know it had been outside of the the box! There's also a hole in the top,so you can alternate its signature choice of three facial explressions without removing it from the packaging.Speaking of the facial expressions, I felt they were rather generic, Manga-esque ones. If I just saw the face, I would never have guessed ir was Skywalker. Each chaacter usually comes with a choice of happy, angry or grimly determined in a heroic kinda way expressions. I felt that angry - & maybe happy - don't really apply to Luke during his New Hope phase (which is what this outfit is) but he looks so sheerful with his happy face, I just can't resist having him o nthat, bless him!The arms can be articulated but not very much because the large head gets in the way, particularly when he's holding his lightsaber. The hands are also shaped to hold things, a bit like a Lego man - however, in this case there is nothign to hold. Skywalker came with a lightsaber but Ant man would look a bit weird if I give it to him! This is a very attractive collectible which wouldn't look out of place if displayed with a Funko collection.

To be fair you're either going to 'get' these or not, if you don't get the point of Funko Pop figures you will not get these, if you're a Star Wars fan you'll probably find these pretty cool and want one that represents your Star Wars fandom on your desk etc (my husband covets the Chewbacca for his at work), if you love collecting little figures that sum up your fandom and let you get your geek on then you'll find these a cute alternative or let's be honest addition to Funko Pops.We have quite a few FPs in our house, my 5 year old LOVES her Rey which was her first ever and this is a much more child friendly version (Rey's bobble head has come off a few times and Hermoine's wand has snapped etc)as its just much more sturdy and solid, chunky even plus the changeable face (from which we get the muggs branding, my dad was convinced we were receiving a tea/coffee mug in this shape and was very disappointed- though that would be awesome) is very child friendly, they can act out and change the emotion to fit the scene or they can live in a desk/shelf happily too- or unhappily, or determinedly depending on which face you choose. This is of course Episode 4 Luke, he hasn't got his craggy face yet from the Wompah/ real life accident he grows into, wearing his Tatooine clothing and wielding his daddy's lightsaber.I find these super cute, yes they are another 'thing' but for those people who enjoy them they bring joy and that's good, are they as good as Funko Pops, I'm not sure, are they fun and collectable, absolutely.

This comes in a clear plastic case which has an opening to let you to change the face without taking it out of the box. This is a review for Chewy, my nephews have a hamster with the same name so I thought this would amuse them. The figure is very sturdy and bigger than I expected, about 4 inches tall. It's easy to get out of the case, just remove the base and then the two plastic lugs that can be twisted with a coin. This makes it easy to place back into the base if you want to put it back to keep it safe or for display. The head is easy to push to change expressions and he has three - angry with lots of teeth, two teeth with a kinda smirk face and a frowny face. It's fun to push the head and change his expressions and provided a few giggles, it's not very posable and moveable if you're wanting to play with him. It's very well made and sturdy and will last well. So these Mighty Muggs figures are pretty obviously an attempt to cash in on the current collectible figure craze set off by Funko Pop. They're a new issuing of toys in a range that has been dormant for several years. That fact shouldn't in any way put you off from buying them though. They're actually pretty cool. The quality of the build is very solid and the art work looks good. They also feature a nifty little feature that others don't have, which is that if you push the top of the head in the face changes to a different one of three variations. I think it's important to note that in my opinion, these are very much more aimed as collectibles rather than children's toys. The solid display style case they come in with a hole in the top to access the rotation function bears this out to me. Of course you could give one to a kid to play with, I'm just not sure that they'd be fun for that long. This Luke Skywalker issue of the figure features three different facial expressions, and has the nice extra detail of Luke's blue lightsabre in his hand. As a comic and movie nerd, this sort of thing is definitely up my street, and I heartily recommend it.

This figure is hilarious and my kids really love it, they think her faces are funny and give her various silly voices to match each facial expression!! They're big Star Wars fans too and love having this exaggerated cartoon version of Princess Leia. It's packaged well, the box is a hard plastic, the sort you keep and could store it in and protect it, you can open the packaging without damaging it and you can activate her various facial expressions when it's in the box so it is perfect for collectors who want to keep it as is but still want the benefit of its features. It doesn't require batteries and doesn't make any noise which is a parents dream! It's good simple fun and good value,my children have had so much enjoyment from this one figure so ill definitely be treating them to more of them so they can act out scenes with these funny figures. They seem to be available in lot's of different types, not just Star Wars so I can see it would be easy to want to collect them all!!Great, simple fun - recommended for those who will enjoy the silliness of this Star Wars figure.

This is a review for the Star Wars E2174ES0 Mighty Muggs Rey (Jakku) No.5 FigureRey gets her long awaited release in the Sun (both of them) in the Mighty Muggs range. With a simple push of the button in her head and it spins around to reveal one of three faces.I cannot say I am impressed the figure. It features Rey in her Jakku outfit. If it didn't say Rey on the box I would be hard pressed to identify her.She just not stand out.Of course the problem is out of the box you don't have this extra help.Only you will know who she is and you will have the task of telling everyone who she is.Now let me explain. I have two others in the series both Marvel Ant-Man and Rocket Racoon. The superheroes and villains with their flashy colourful costumes look so much better and are instantly recognisable. But that is just my opinion.Others will be delighted with it. Each to their own.

This Rey figure comes in a sturdy plastic case which has a hole in the top so you can change her expressions by pressing on her head without actually getting her out - should you so wish. To get her out all you need to do is take the plastic lid off and unscrew her from underneath. This feature is great as the screws can then be used again to out her back ion the base and the lid can be put on to keep her safe. The figure of Rey herself is chunky and sturdy so she is great for smaller hands and she is unlikely to be easily broken. Our son has just turned 6 and he loves pressing her head to change her expression - often matching he facial expressions in the process.Ultimately this is a nicelittle figure which is going to appeal to grown up Star Wars fans who want to add to their collections as well as children who want something fun to play with.

What a great desk accessory. Not just pimping your Star Wars style, but Leia's adjustable mood is simply brilliant. Bop her on the head and she portrays one of three facial expressions. The first gleeful smile (as cheesy as it is) if full on. Smiles are contagious right? The last face is an angry one, she looks seriously peeved. The middle expression can describe a myriad of moods. It could be frustrated, confused, mildly miffed etc. It's a great middle ground.I use this to express my mood to my team.I use this to measure performance. Most importantly, I use this to create some theatre in the office, to add some levity to a fairly boring place. It's well made and the colouration is is spot on,the images actually are washed out, the real thing looks far better. The character likeness is very good too.

These are fun and not a million miles from the slightly more expensive Funko Pop range of figures. There is slightly less detail on the bodies of these BUT they do have the swivelling face gimmick so, with a press on top of the head, the visage will switch from happy, to angry to somewhere nonplussed in between. They also come in a nice hard plastic display case for collectors to keep them pristine (there's a hole in the top so you can still switch the faces). Out of the case the figures are sturdy and durable feeling.I somehow doubt these are really aimed at little kids to play with, more collectors of pop culture but they shouldn't break easily at all either way.All in all these are fun, well built and I daresay better value than the increasingly expensive Funko Pop range.

A substantial toy figure presented in a rigid plastic box that would be good to keep it in. Grasping a light sabre, the little but Mighty Mugg 'Kylo Ren' has an aggressive stance that can be accentuated by the expressions on offer. Just tap the top of his head and four various looks can be shown - a fierce, teeth bared grimace, a quizzical 'I don't believe what you're saying' smirk, a supercilious grin with staring eyes, and a kind of determined stare. For age 6+ this toy will be a favourite with children who are into Star Wars like my younger grandsons. A coin is required to unscrew the case and let him out to do his worst. Made in China, by Hasbro, under the Disney branding.

This new series of Mighty Muggs are designed to appeal to both children and adult Star Wars fans. They're cute, cartoonish representations of major characters with oversized heads and three interchangeable expressions - happy, thoughtful and angry (roughly). They come in hard plastic shells suitable for display; you can remove them by undoing two large screws (using a coin) in the base, then return them to their cases looking as good as new. This model is Rey ready to learn about the Force as seen in The Last Jedi, complete with lightsaber. They're reasonably priced to encourage collection and likely to prove popular with all ages.
