One of my favourite puzzles, in a large measure because it is absolutely addicting to just absent-mindedly let your fingers play with it - it's quite meditative, nice to do while daydreaming or reading. I really don't get the low-ish rating on Amazon. I personally don't give a hoot about difficulty "ratings" as it's quite personal - I've struggled with level 1 puzzles and vice versa. This puzzle is of the "notice the chink in the armour" type, and is satisfying to repeatedly undo and put together in front of an audience without them realising exactly how you're doing it. A long time since, I do remember the gist of how to solve it, but will have to play with it for a bit to crack it again,

This puzzle was easier than I expected. I had disassembled it within about 5 minutes, and put it back together in another 10. There is a very limited number of ways the pieces can go together. As long as you take a systematic approach, and somehow keep track of which combinations you've tried, it's quite straightforward.With that said, it is a lovely piece of craftsmanship. It's very satisfying to play with the puzzle, even if you're not actually trying to solve it.

This chunky metal jigsaw is quite an easy puzzle to solve. It's a bit harder to put back together, as all the pieces look the same, but still more like a 2 or 3 rather than a 5 for difficulty.Of all the Hanayamas I've tried, this is my favourite to play with. You can spin it around or roll it across your desk, or jiggle it in your hand like a set of worry beads and the pieces will move about while staying locked together.

What can you NOT like about these puzzles. They are solidly made, well priced and addictively taxing. I bought some for my son’s 11th birthday, and he loves them.On the minus side, there was an oversight with my order, which was very quickly dealt with once I contacted the supplier, and they added an extra gift as an apology, which went above and beyond.I will certainly be buying more from them in the future.

This puzzle looks so simple, yet is rather cunningly designed so as to be much more tricky than it looks. Has a slinky-like quality to it, making it fun to fiddle with whilst having no intention of solving it. I have seen it accidentally taken apart by dropping it, though that doesn't mean the person who drops it knows how to put it back together, and the pieces are so solid they don't get damaged by the drop.

After watching some vids on the internet i decided to test myself with some puzzles. This probably took me a good 10 mins to work out and now i know how, its just seconds. Putting it back together is more challenging than taking it apart i found,. Though as a whole, not as difficult as i had anticipated. I've spent a good few hours on the cylinder puzzle and have made no progress whatsoever.

Very good. Very interesting. Top tip when you find how to do it, it comes apart and reassembles easy. Until you work it out it works well as a paper weight. If you get frustrated with it don't throw because it'll go straight through your window..... it's that heavy.

I am very happy with the product, unfortunately for me I ended up disassembling it in less than 2 mins and then I put it back together in about 5 mins. Even so it is still challenging to do it again.
