I was really excited to try this perfume - I'm normally fairly single-minded with my perfume choices so it was good to get a chance to try something different. The perfume arrived fully sealed in plastic, which gave the packaging a nice shine to it. The colour of the packaging is a bit odd given the quite dark and more sensual adverts I've seen for the Gucci Bamboo products. It is a dusky/baby pink which I felt spoke more to teenagers than a twenty-something, which is a shame as the perfume itself was lovely. The Gucci logo is embossed in silver on the packaging which is nice, with 'Bamboo' embossed in silver too.I was disappointed to find a very ordinary brown cardboard mold holding the bottlein place within the packaging itself; I would have expected a matching colour to the white interior of the box.The bottle itself is heavy, which gives it a good, solid, quality feel. The diamond cut glass shape is easy to hold and would stand out from a normal round-cut perfume bottle. The lid is shaped like a piece of bamboo, in cast silver resin. I would have liked this to be metal as the plastic gives it a slightly cheap feeling and I can see the silver chipping away after a few more uses.The bottle sits comfortably in your hand with the trigger nozzle easy to press. I tried the perfume both in a more concentrated form on my wrists and neck and in a less concentrated cloud and walking through it.On my wrists, the smell was a bit overpowering, but really nice. It smelled like a good quality perfume should, no sense of corner cutting here. I would be equally happy wearing this to work as out on a date. I could still smell the perfume strongly a few hours later, which is unusual as you tend to get used to the smell and not notice it after an hour or so.I tried the second method (spraying it in front of me and walking through it) after getting ready for work. I could smell the perfume on me for a good amount of time and kept getting pleasant whiffs throughout the day. A colleague complimented me on it, so it must have been noticable!I am usually a bit stingy with perfumes as they are so expensive to buy, but I love this one so much that I think it will become my go-to daily scent. I don't mind having the bottle out on display in my room as no one sees it apart from me and my dog, but given my thoughts about the design quality of the product, I certainly wouldn't be giving it a show-stopping position on my dressing table. In all, I really like this perfume. I feel classy and confident whilst wearing it and I'm confident that the scent will remain on me throughout the day. I feel the quality of the product is somewhat let down by its packaging and design, but seeing as the main purpose is the scent, I can't hold that against it too much. I'm always a bit picky with perfumes as heady scents really stick to my chest and make it difficult for me to breathe. For this reason I tend to stick to light perfumes with a citrus hint- something that clears my senses. Additionally I find it difficult when reading reviews- we've all got such different tastes that just because someone else loves a scent, it really has no bearing on whether you will. Now I've read that I'm not meant to mention other brands, but truth be told, in any review, I would do so. Just saying "other perfumes" isn't enough for me. I'm analytical and if I want to know if I like something, I'm far more likely to pay attention to something if it references other fragrances I'm familiar with.I want honest and complete. So as a way of calibrating, here are some of the scents that I love- Elie Saab, Valentino, NYC212 original and DKNY Be Delicious..these are ones I like to wear. When I read that GUCCI Bamboo was a woody scent, I was a little apprehensive, woody means JOOP and other 'amber' smells to me. But I'malso up for trying new things and new smells. The nose is honest!!I've had to wait until today before collecting my package and I pulled it out of the box in excitement (this is my first BA review!) The first thing that struck me was the pretty pastel pink box it comes in. The lid is designed to look like a bamboo stalk and the bottle is an interesting shape (I quite like to keep my empty bottles so this has some bearing on me!) .I spritzed a little on and was amazed at how light a fragrance this is. It's beautifully floral, perhaps a girl's scent or an older woman. It whispers grace and elegance. Definitely a smell for summer, reminiscent of all fresco dining and summer blossoms. It's a very pink smell; for floaty dresses and post beach day dinners. It evokes in me a memory of France and of being 14 (ouch! Yet wonderfully rejuvenating!). There's definitely a familiar smell in there of something I wore when I was younger (I'm yet to put my finger on what exactly), alongside ParmaViolets and rose. I'm 32 and I would happily wear this at any time of day. Gucci Bamboo is an all around fabulous fragrance.The packaging is very visually appealing and of a highly quality, even being packed within a weekend bag the packaging maintained its structure completely which was great.The Gucci Bamboo perfume itself was in a lovely Bamboo themed glass bottle, which like the packaging was extremely visually appealing and of a high quality. I showcased Gucci Bamboo at a wedding that I was attending, the scent was warm with subtle natural and floral tones. Bamboo does also unleash an air of confidence with it I must say- it makes you feel fabulous. I was inundated with compliments on my fragrance on this particular evening, which was the perfect opportunity to recommend Gucci Bamboo.I also found the fragrance suitable for my skin, which was great news! As my skin is easily irritated. This to me further resonates the quality of Gucci Bamboo.The fragrance itself wears well. I found that it doesn't require constant application so it's very well lasting.My overview is that I would highly recommend Gucci Bamboo Eau De Parfum, it's warm subtle natural and floral tones make for a great fragrance suitable all year round. Before receiving this product I seen an advertisement on TV for the Gucci Bamboo, Gucci do some nice fragrances so I wanted to give this one a try. ( got it for free so even better) :) Any ways I received the product three days ago , packaging is simple yet elegant.Bottle is cute rectangle with curved edges, nice little lid to compliment the bottle. Whilst opening the box I could smell the perfume and my gosh does it smell yummy. Best way to describe the smell is something you want to eat lol , no really it has a smell you want to keep sniffing... Sweet ...aromatic...light feathery smell. So I sprayed some on my wrist left it on for the day and even after washing up and cleaning at the end of the night the smell was still on my wrist.BONUS! A little spray does go a long way! I would definitely recommend this product to someone who likes a light sweet sexy smell. Definitely a day perfume which can also be worn at night going out etc So glad I received this from Bzzagent , i will purchase when this has been used.The bottle does look small in terms of how much is inside. In addition to the smell of the perfume, I always look for a bottle that will look nice on my dressing table, and Gucci Bamboo didn't disappoint (test 2 passes). The bottle is classy and expensive looking and is representative of the perfume inside. The scent lasted a long time and whilst I stopped being able to smell it myself after a couple of hours my partner complimented me on it (test 2 passed!). I was a little apprehensive after reading the description of the perfume as 'woody' - I usually prefer fresh, citrus-y scents - but I was pleasantly surprised. It's nowhere near as heavy as I though it would be and is a light feminine fragrance. If you are considering this perfume don't be put off by the description or marketing campaign,I don't think it's as dark and woody as is made out. I have given Gucci Bamboo a rating of 4/5 because it's a lovely fragrance with a long lasting scent and classy bottle. The reason it's not 5/5 is because I believe it doesn't offer anything different to other perfumes, there is nothing stand out about it. Overall, a lovely fresh and feminine fragrance. Gucci Bamboo Eau de Parfum has a sweet, vanilla and citrus scent with an undercurrent of creamy white woods. The top note is Bergamot, with Ylang-Ylang, Casablanca Lily and Orange Blossom at the heart, completed with creamy and dare I say it, rather dreamy hints of Sandalwood, Tahitian Vanilla and Amber. I put this on in the morning for work and still smells as good in the evening as when I first applied it. This is a very clean scent that manages to both offer impact and longevity yet never overwhelms. It is a calm fragrance while also a little warm and sensual. This is a perfume that’s meant to be clean, practical-to-wear and office-friendly and I dare say it delivers very well.I got so many friends and family members asking what perfrume I was wearing. All in all Gucci Bamboo Eau de Parfum is a great every day, suit all occasion scent that is never offensive nor overpowering and is the perfect white floral that I think most will enjoy. When I am looking for a new perfume I look for 3 things;1. Intriguing smell, are others going to notice I am wearing this? Will they wonder what it is?2. Will it last all day?3. Is it overpowering?The fragrance hits it 3 spot on...The smell is very similar to that of other perfumes I have tried previously, It's very feminine, it's fresh and floral. And yes, my friends LOVED it and I was asked lots of times what I was wearing!It did last all day...and all night...in fact 2 days on, my scarf stills has hints of Gucci bamboo!The fragrance was very subtle and very light, it wasn't pungent in anyway so didn't overpower my nose,because of this I didn't get sick of it as the day went on and it was pleasant when I got a wiff!The product comes in a very nice art deco'esk bottle, and of course Gucci is a luxury product so it's lovely to have this bottle as the new star of my collection!I have already added this to my Christmas list! Packaged in a dusky pink box with the Gucci logo in the style of bamboo, the bottle awaits. The bottle's unique shape is reminiscent of the Art Deco style, with the shape of the bottle meaning it is ergonomic and easy to hold. The lid of the bottle is silver, and in keeping with the theme of bamboo, is in the shape of bamboo. The rounded design of the cap beautifully compliments the angular facets of the bottle itself.The scent is warm and woody. Top notes of bergamot and orange blossom flow beautifully into the heart notes of lily and ylang ylang. The strong woody base is deep sandalwood, Tahitian vanilla and grey amber. This scent easily takes you from day to night, representing all that today's woman is with ease.For me, this scent is captivating and makes me feel confident and ready to take on anything life throws at me.
