It does small or large cake recipes . It expands to a large baking tray. So if you are baking for a party of people this is a must to have in your baking equipment. It also comes apart easily so no squashed cakes. Also because it comes completely apart it is easy to clean, and store. I wish that I had purchased one sooner. It is really good value one that I think that once you have used it once, you will, like me always want to have this as part of your baking equipment.
