Faber Castell general is an "upper class" quality fountain pen - It’s unusual to get a leather version and like it. The nip is good quality and I like the design which is very nice. I like fountain pens and I have different brand, Parker, Cross, Waterman, Lamy, and Pelikan and still I think that the Faber Castell is one the most comfortable fountain pens to write. My daughter had a Faber Castell “Basic” fountain pen and had some issue with the pen after the warranty has expired. I have contacted Faber Castell Customer support via the Website line and the reaction was very fast. I have sent them a picture of the pen and I got free of charge a replacement. This is one the reason to recommend Faber Castell.

This pen fits well and comfy when I hold it. It is not too heavy and not too light. The nib is very smooth and pleasant to write with. I'd recommend this pen to someone who is looking for a good and a decent pen. Thank you.
