I have not opened these as they are a gift for some one . how ever I have the polycromos and they are the best quality you can find. these will not disappoint I am sure. plus they are bright colours good pigment and have an unbreakable white core. if they are dropped they will not break inside the wood. that's why I bought them they were ideal for my friends child to use at school and colouring in adult colouring books. she is 13 and I know she will love these pencils , I also have heard very good praises about these pencils. yes also they were excellent value for money. if you are an artist or want to colour like an artist or you are doing parchment craft the go for Faber Castell polycromo's they are excellent but are pretty expensive but will last years so well worth every penny.

Great value for the price - I was a bit wary about buying pencils by post, but arrived all intact :-) A good selection of colours, each pencil has a space to write your name on...which leads nicely to my next comment about them being very good quality pencils for children who really enjoy drawing and colouring and good for basic adult use. By that I mean I think they are probably not so good for a more serious artist, but then that is reflected in the price. I still have a set of Faber Castell pencils I was bought as a child, which have lasted over 30 years! Being in a tin helps preserve them better. Great colours - not all useful - the white/black/gold never got used at all, but that's my fault not Faber's.The only colour that doesn't show up well is the yellow which was a bit disappointing but didn't spoil my pleasure in the set. Besides, it's been my experience that yellow pencil crayons rarely show up well.No, the real "problem" as a lack of a true red (crimson) colour. I know this is one of the most expensive colours to make (it's why you never get wallpaper or tiles a true red), but it was a bit disappointing - not a lot though because there were plenty of other colours in there.

I've just started with the adult colouring books and I made the mistake of buying a cheap set of colour pencils which made colouring less enjoyable. I remembered that I loved using Faber Castell pencils as a kid, and wondered why that wasn't my first choice to begin with! Haha.The pencils arrived in a comically huge box with lots of padding! But this kept the tin nicely in tact with no dents (:The colours are nice and smooth and the pencils are a joy to colour with. If you're looking for a set of quality colour pencils without breaking the bank, this is a good set to start with!

I bought these pencils, as I've recently bought an adult colouring book and wanted some decent coloured pencils to use, and I'm not disappointed. The pencils are just right for the job and are of excellent quality. They are not too sharp like some really cheap ones on the market that can cut through paper and break easily, and with the same token they are not too waxy either. Great purchase for an excellent price. Once I've used these for a while I may treat myself to the bigger tin of Faber-Castell coloured pencils!! I would recommend these highly.

Decided to have a go at some of this 'adult' colouring which seems to be all the rage, and so bought a colouring book with a cheap and cheerful set of coloured pencils, not even giving a thought to the quality (having not used them for probably 40 years). They were rubbish, so decided to invest in this set, and what a difference! Good, deep colours, makes the whole process so much more enjoyable. I expect the super-duper ones (which cost about £40 I believe) are wonderful, but I'm quite happy with these.

I bought these as a present for my Granddaughter for her art lessons at school. For some reason our local shops had sold out and this proved to be a blessing in disguise as I would never have found these coloured pencils. I found the reviews very helpful and they enabled me to understand the finer points of a good crayon. As soon as she tried them they got the thumbs up ' Good value for money and a good range of colours.

These pencils are quality. I made the mistake of purchasing a much cheaper set previously, which you really had to dig into the paper to get any sort of colour. These are 100x better, only light strokes are needed to get a good amount of colour. Comes in a very stylish looking compartment as well. Most importantly, I get some pieces and quiet during this holiday - well worth the few bob this has cost!

If you're into drawing or someone in your life is, then you'll know how hard it is to get decent pencil crayons. Often the ones recommend at school are okay, but no long-lasting and they don't blend well. However, these pencil crayons blend easily and are so vibrant! Highly recommend to anyone looking for good colour pencils! (A bonus feature is that they're vegan!)

I've been looking for a good set of coloured pencils in my local area for quite a while but haven't ever been able to find anything so I came to Amazon as a backup.The packaging wasn't damaged and neither was the contents inside so I was very pleased with this. The quality of this product is very good and I will happily purchase this again when the time comes.

These are great quality great value colouring pencils. They're pretty pigmented and can be blended and mixed together with some practice. The tips don't easily break which is reassuring.The case isn't travel sized but it is slim so can fit in a rucksack easily, though I recommend putting the pencils in a pencil case as the metal box can open unexpectedly.

I am extremely satisfied with these colouring pencils. The colors are very vibrant and they come in a wide range of light tones, mid tones and dark tones for every color. The tin is convenient and in my opinion these coloring pencils are for a child. This is my first time buying Faber castell products and it won't be my last. Fabulous!!! ☺???

A great purchase at an excellent price, quality of pencils are top quality, they don't break when pressure is applied and they don't wear down so quickly. I am likely to invest in the larger colouring set by Faber-Castell. Plus, the seller despatched this item speedily and I got it very soon after ordering it on Amazon, (thank very much!)

For a kids/amateur quality product, these pencils are excellent quality and really good for colouring books. The 24 set has more pinky colours than I would like, and a restricted range of blues but there are some good greens and browns, and this size set has the gold pencil, which is one of the better metallic pencils I've come across.
