This is a premium product for a very specific purpose. As such "value for money" isn't really relevant. But, if you want to capture up to 4K @60 FPS, from a games console, Bridge/DSLR camera, or intercept and/or pass through any HDMI display, this card is perfect. For PC build space consideration: this card's dimensions are roughly early iphone sized(in credit cards? 1x1 and a 3rd, with a depth of 10mm(yeah I know, I don't have enough credit cards for depth lol), minus PCI-E connector and rear PCI-IO plate. In other words, it's pretty small. The build quality reflects it's price, and at no point would I say the have cut costs. Aesthetically resembles the offspring of 2 SLI'd GPUs (when Mummy & Daddy GPU really love each other.....).It's looks even extend to it's stylish black PCB.Let's face it these are a currently a default purchase for any streamer/Youtuber, who wants to capture lossless footage: and that would be Elgato's target market. Well, its for any streamer that wants to do a little more than ASMR streams(ladies, fear not. It will do those too. Well, the "quality" camera side of your "content" at least). Are there higher-end capture cards? Sure, but A, what site can handle more than 4K @60fps bandwidth, and B, who's PC hardware can currently exceed that by more than a few dozen fps? C, if your hardware can support more then you are a pro, with an exceedingly specific purpose in mind and a high-end card would be better for you. It's software? It works-ish. But, I can't think of a single scenario where you would use a very basic "cut-and-splice" video editing program, when so many vastly superior free or cheap solutions exist. As to streaming, it's driver software(yep, still comes on a DVD, but can be DL'd from Elgato's site) makes it available to all newer versions of OBS or Streamlabs.I have hopefully answered some of the questions you may have, based on the the questions I had to research when I wanted to stream decent quality game footage, or connecting my Lumix FZ-2200 Bridge camera(FZ-2500 in the US) to OBS as a webcam. My verdict? The Elgato 4K60 Pro is a great piece of kit, so is the AVermedia "Live Gamer" equivalent. They're both PCI-E internal capture cards that will do the same job. The AVermedia has some RGB lighting(if you want to light your PSU shroud or slightly illuminate the bottom of your case for some reason), but for me, I much prefer the small sleek Elgato. I would highly recommend it. No, I'm not sponsored by Elgato, although.... if they're listening....

As per my review of the Seagate Barracuda 6TB hard drives, I play games on my PC and Consoles and record the gameplay.I have decided to put some more effort in to my videos and as such I needed a better capture card for my console gameplay recording, but as this will also work with recording a pc screen, I have now built a 2nd pc for this to be used with. The quality is far superior compared to the Avermedia capture card I was using, and this will also do 1080p 60FPS capture compared, to the Avermedia card which would only do 1080p 30FPS.The software is simple to use and it work's with not only the Elgato software, but it also work's with OBS and Xsplit, and unlike the Avermedia card it doesn't loose the resolution and frame rate settings when closing the software. If you are looking for a capture card for either PC or Console gameplay recording, then I highly recommend this card. When you look on YouTube at gameplay from a Console gamer, I would say 70% of them are using an Elgato product and most of the big streamers on Twitch, YouTube, Mixer and Facebook are using an Elgato product.Yes it will cost around £40 more buying it from here, but compared to a lot of places, Littlewoods actually had them in stock unlike where I usually buy this sort of stuff from which quoted August 2018 to receive it, even though I ordered in June 2018.Either way cracking product, and highly recommended and was delivered 1 day late but that was down to the supplier and the time I ordered it to be honest, but delivery was quick so you can feel confident buying it from here.

One of the only questions I had about this product before ordering is whether it would report as a webcam automatically for the usual web conferencing platforms. It was difficult to find this information from the product literature so I had to take a risk based on a few Amazon reviews and Reddit threads. Thankfully it does!So in review, how am I finding using an EXTREMELY expensive (£500+) webcam? For me it's ideal. Thanks to the pandemic regular £85 quality webcams are either out of stock or double their RRP. Despite this being an expensive route to a webcam, I already had a Sony a5100 a dummy battery and a HDMI lead. I just wasn't using these as often as I once did.The Elgato HD60s+ was just the final piece in a very expensive puzzle to get a webcam without being extorted (pricespy indicated it was at regular price apart from occasional reductions of £10). Obviously there is no webcam on the market that can surpass the image quality of a large DSLR sensor and the low light recording is much better too. Further to this, the bokeh effect from a 20mm lens at f2.0 is a look no webcam could replicate, although I'm sure the kit lens still looks good too. For just web conferencing, this is pure overkill, but this would be a regular setup for a blogger or game streamer. For me, I felt more comfortable paying £189.99 for this setup than £179.99 for a £85rrp webcam. However, I had the remaining kit to make it operational

This has by far been my favourite purchase in upgrading my stream! I play on PlayStation so my only option was through the twitch streaming app which we all have to admit is very basic and dull.Since I got this product I have been able to use overlays and notifications on my stream. It also means now my PC just has to run the stream that way its not straining my PS4, I have a Ps4 Pro myself but I can see this being a bigger issue for people without a Pro.It's easy to use as well you plug it in and follow the included small guide on how to use and you can set it up in minutes, depending on your Internet speed for downloading the software. It installs a capture card software which you could use for streaming if you want to but I would recommend using rather OBS live or Stream labs OBS instead!I would give this product 10 stars if I could if you are looking to upgrade your stream from your ps4 this should be at the top of your list!!

Before this I had purchased the Razor Ripsaw...I wish I had bought this one first!! The RR was a waste of money as I could never use the full settings that were advertised (1080p etc) however this beauty does everything and more! It even allows you the option to adjust consoles so it knows which settings to use for sound/picture quality. I currently use mine to stream PS4 and Nintendo Switch, both super easy to change between. Elgato really is 'plug in and use', the simplicity should be advertised more!! RR says its simple (an utter lie) but the elgato HD60S truly is and should be considered far more advanced and user friendly than the RR.I use mine with OBS/streamlabs OBS and couldn't be happier!

After being hesitant about buying an elgato as i have read reviews that a lot of people had problems with setting up i finally decided to order one. I chose the Elgato HD60 SArrived on-time, packed nice and instructions where clear, after watching a YouTube video or 2 on how to plug it into my switch and get the imagery onto OBS Studio and also my second monitor (as i don't want to use my OBS for the game play screen) i was pretty much ready to go, just slight adjustments for quality of the video and that was all i had to do.The elgato picked up my switch as soon as it was plugged in.Deffo recommened this product.

I personally bought this for capturing video from my Nintendo switch, I can say this now that the price definitely pays off, if you use it consistently. I'm safe to assume this would have no other problems with other consoles being hooked up to it, and has plenty of default settings for many different consoles. It is easy to use, simple to set up (assuming you know the basics about adding or changing computer hardware)With the drivers installed it really is plug and play. Also I was not made aware of it before hand, but this also comes with a low profile PCIE bracket for the thinner Computers.

This was installed in a "streaming" PC as part of a two PC setup. The ability to passthrough high refresh rates was perfect when cloning the monitor on the "gaming" PC. Being able to access the video feed in multiple applications simultaneously, is also fantastic if you are looking to record and stream a the same time.Installation is really simple, but be mindful of airflow when positioning it next to other components. These cards get incredibly hot, but have no onboard cooling. Adequate airflow is a must, not just to keep the card cool, but also to manage the excess heat inside the case.

I Will keep this simple.1. Rip off... Super expensive does not need to be this price.2. Works better than any other I bought.3. Plug in and it just works no driver install or anything.4. The 4K Application which is part of ELgato which you can download works amazingly.5. Presents as a source in OBS Studio no issues.6. Supports 4k Footage and works with my SOny A6400.Does it work? YES! Any HDMI Input.Do I NEED IT NOW? - Don't buy it at this price point wait until Corona is over maybe if you can as £180 is far too much.

**You will need a free PCI-e slot to run this card, NOT a PCIexpress**Great product if you stream your Xbox games and want a better quality stream. The 4k60Pro eliminates the need to switch cables around all the time, preventing damage to the hdmi ports. I have a 1440p monitor, after some tinkering with the PC software downloaded from Elgato’s website, I was able to get the downgraded 4K feed from the Xbox. I’ve bought a few Elgato products now and the quality is always top notch. Great product!

A very nice device which brings your capturing into the HD age. I'm using this to stream from an HD camera for studio streaming. Of course many will use it for gaming. The device is easy to set up and is very robust and does not feel cheap. I needed more of these to complete my multi-camera studio set up, but I was blocked from purchasing any more of them. I managed to get them from somewhere else. The device is pricey at over £150, but it works incredibly well. Highly recommended.

Just starting a gaming youtube channel and this is a great product for capturing your gameplay, not tried streaming but it has the features to do it easily, connects to laptop and console easily enough. Make sure your settings match the specs of the product, has a little trouble at the start but got it working with some settings changes which was my fault and not the products. Delivery was efficient and perfect quality product. Product is small as well which is great.

Well what can I say about this?! Superb! Works instantly straight out of the box for VHS and PS4 recording. For PS4 you do have to disable HDCP within the settings>system before using the Elgato but after that it works straight away. The software is easily found and download from their website by searching "Elgato software". Do note that you will have to do this as it does not come with a software disc.

My son asked for this for Christmas - nearly didn't buy it because of all the people claiming to have issues in setting the thing up. My son who is 13 set the whole thing up by himself, didn't have visit any forums or watch any "howto" videos on You Tube - turns out the naysayers are wrong as usual - great product, easy to set up - buy it if you have a 13 year old to hand, 5 stars!

Great card, great quality and super easy to install. I dont understand where all those complains come from. All you have to do is put that on your motherboard. Download drivers and 4k capture utility and plug in hdmi. It took me less then 10 minutes to set it all up with my ps4. The only tricky bit for console is setting up colors, saturation etc.
