Seeking a healthy-option body wash, I used this for the first time this week. Here my thoughts on it:The good about this soap:- Beautiful, health-conscious ingredients- A pleasant lavender smell in use (although the smell doesn't really linger on the skin - it leaves you pretty much unscented after use so is suitable for anyone who doesn't want to smell flowery.)- It was compatible with my normally very sensitivei skin - I found it completely non-irritating.- Does a good job cleaning- Lathers nicelyThe not so good about this soap:- It's very runny / watery in texture (not anything like mainstream soaps)- I found I needed quite a lot of it for a shower since the lather runs out quite quickly even when used neat (used straight on skin without a washcloth or anything).I tried using it with a washcloth and it didn't really lather and felt like there was no soap there so I found I had to use it neat, in concentrated form. No wonder they sell it in large bottles - I think I'll buy the larger one next time.- My old mainstream (not so healthy ingredient) soap was nicely moisturizing but this one by Bronner's didn't seem to have any moisturizing effect on my skin. My skin is naturally quite dry and remained dry-looking after use, even when I added some argan oil to the soap to try and add a moisturizing effect.Overall:Loving the ingredients, but I can't help feeling this isn't ideal because of the watery-ness and the fact you need quite a lot of it. It's not bad; it's pretty good - it's just not perfect. I'm undecided if I'll stick with this one. I think I'll be trying out Miessence's body wash after I finish this bottle - maybe that will be better.

Love Dr bronner soaps, tried most of them but lavender is my all round favourite.I use it for all sorts, washing body, face wash, handwash,if you put in a pump foaming hand wash bottle you get a lovely natural hand soap.I was the dog with it along with a little marius fabre black soap, keeps my collie smelling great and flea free.with out using horrid chemicals.I like to use it in laundry, a little with my eco egg, lovely for bedding,or when you don't want to loose colours in a dark wash.I washed my dad's leather sofas with it,I wash the floors, the bathroom and toilet.best of all at the end of the day when feeling ached and tired run a warm bath, soap yourself with a cloth, shower scrunch and Dr bronnerlavender, leave on for abit and inhale, you 'll feel lovely clean and relaxed, they should use this stuff in hospital s for bed baths, very therapeutic.

I use this for cleaning my makeup brushes and it's terrific. I pour a little into a glass dish and dab each brush into it before scrubbing in warm water, and it shifts absolutely everything. A week's worth of long-wear foundation is gone in a matter of just a few minutes. Left overnight to dry, the brushes are absolutely clean, soft, sweet smelling and ready to go again. If I had a complaint at all it's that you do have to be careful to rinse it out really very thoroughly, or you can end up with a sticky residue in the bristles if you miss a bit. It just needs a little bit of care in the rinsing process - keep rinsing in clean water and squeezing well until all the soap bubbles are gone.Fantastic stuff, and such great value. I've used it a good half a dozen times, and not even an inch is gone from the bottle. Brilliant.

I love this product. I have acne on my face so bought it on recommendation from a friend (chose the lavender for its healing properties) and it is great!! There’s always that one week in the month I struggle with my face anyway but this products helps to clear it right back up again! I use it with simple light moisturiser and it’s great! I also find its amazing for washing my make up brushes with and as a cleaning product it’s fab for de-scaling my glass shower screen! The water marks just disappeared (with the help of a scrub with the sponge obviously)

Even though I tried in laundry anti bacterial sport wash in my machine for underwear still my newish bras after half a day would smell musty. Thought it was my washing machine and cleaned it regularly bust still the same outcome. Then thought it was me but then a friend told me that bra bands are notorious for holding onto sweat and bacteria and that machines can't deal with. She told me to hand wash bras throughly with this and then use the machine to rinse. Wow no more funky smells after a day of wearing. Thinking of using it as my main detergent now.

I love this stuff! Such an amazing smell – the lavender one is definitely my favourite one. It goes a really long way and is great as a body, hand, face soap. I am keen to try out the other uses for it too. I've been using this primarily as a face soap during this year, mixed with a little bit of jojoba oil. Such a great cleanser which doesn't strip your face. I have pale, dry, sensitive skin and this is just perfect. And probably a whole lot more economic than other expensive brands of face cleansers. Highly recommended.

I am currently using this as a hand wash, body wash and shaving soap! Works brilliantly. However, on my face this did not work. I have acne prone skin which is allergic to coconut oil so I broke out in spots. I am also trying this product as a shampoo, I like how it does not irritate my scalp but dislike the slight residue left on my hair... (not prepared to buy an acid rinse) its amazing that this product is cruelty free and organic! The price is fair for all the uses but I would like to see the price lowered slightly.

Can't use for shampoo as it doesn't bubble that well on my hair so I'd have to use too much, I find it can dry my sensitive skin a little bit as a soap but I use this to clean mostly, it's great for cleaning makeup brushes and removing stains from clothes, great to know it's all natural no harsh chemicals. This is my second bottle, first time using the lavender, nice scent I'd probably use it very watered down as a facial cleanser occasionally but it is quite pricey so I tend to save it for cleaning.

+ Lavender scent is lovely. Relaxing and natural.+ Only need a small amount so the 236ml bottle lasts SO long (months).+ Does not dry out your skin. Makes it feel soft and moisturised.+ No residue or scent left on skin.- You need to get used to low / no foam.- Nozzle occasionally gets blocked but easily sorted if you unscrew it and rinse through with warm water.- Really odd religious text on the bottle (just ignore it but it is bizarre! Haha).

This is the best beauty product ever! So many uses and ideal to take away on holiday. Use as hand soap, face wash, shower gel, shaving cream and many many more. It's concentrated so goes way further than you would think. It's naturally moisturising and is ideal for sensitive skin as there are no nasties, just pure olive oil soap. It's also perfect for shampooing dreadlocks as it leaves no residue. Cant really recommend this stuff enough!

This is the only body wash/shampoo that i took away travelling with me, and by golly it cleanes everything so gently. I have scalp dermatitis, so was hesitant to use this instead of my medicated shampoo, but dare I say, It worked 10 times more effectively than my Nizoral shampoo (at a fraction of the price). Such great value for money, does everything and is gentle for the body and hair. Will be repurchasing continually for years

I have used Dr Bronner's products on and off since my university days (too long ago to mention...). It is a great quality product, always interesting things on the packet, smells wonderful, works fantastically and I've never found another soap to replace it. I would well recommend the lavender scent as it's light, airy and very natural smelling.

20.5.2020

I was expecting better more natural lavender scent and it's not really great. It is expensive and even though I only used it for my body and tried it with my hair I would not recommend it for hair. It leaves a weird texture that I know they say the hair will get used to it but I just can't it just feels dirty, no way of moisturising it.
