I have this pen in both a medium and a fine nib, and both are used on a daily basis. I tend to use the fine nib for the poorer quality paper in my Moleskine notebook and the medium nib for my Leuchtturm1917 notebook because the paper can handle a larger ink spread. What can I say, the pen writes fantastically well, is very durable and above all is quite slim-line. It fits nicely into Leuchtturm's pen loops and has a really great ink flow. The pen doesn't come with a converter but accepts standard international cartridges no problem. I use Waterman Serenity Blue which works really well, and I will probably purchase one of Diplomat's converters shortly and try out bottled ink.It is by no means a high-end fountain pen but I like that because I don't have to worry so much about looking after it or keeping in my bag.My one gripe is that the lid on the medium nib pen is slightly looser than the one that came with the fine nib pen, but both remain firmly on their respective pens without danger of falling off.

This is a great travel pen It feels small because it is quite slender, but it is a 'normal' length. Although all steel, it is just a little lightweight. The cap snaps very firmly on the body and posts securely and improves balance. The steel nib is quite firm and doesn't give much character. Also it is not the smoothest steel nib and its hardness gives feedback on rougher paper. It benefits from a gentle polish. There are no dry starts or skipping. No converter is provided, but it does accept international short or long cartridges and a standard converter. The barrel will hold two short cartridges. It comes in a metal box which may be useful for the pen and spare cartridges, etc, when travelling. It is possibly overpriced at any more than £25 because the Chinese-made Picasso 916 performs just as well and is a little more comfortable (and cheaper).

I don't normally leave reviews, but I just realised that this item had only 3/5 stars. I think this is unfair. I own this pen and it is one of my favourites, from a collection that includes a few brands that worth up to ten or twenty times more than this pen. This fountain pen is very light. It is a pleasure to use it on the go. I usually keep it in my shirt pocket. It is very smooth and I never had any problems with the ink flow. The pen is top heavy when the cap on the pen, but this is something you experience with MB and other pens. I personally leave it on the side. Not sure why the other reviewer had issues with the cap not securing firmly. I have no issues with it.The fine nib is excellent.Overall,a great pen. Better than equally priced Lamy pens and better than many expensive ones!
