Pure Poison by Dior or as the old name was by Christian Dior but is now known as the House of Dior is the most seductive scent I have ever smelled. The perfume is actually based on the scents of orange blossom, jasmine, gardenia, amber and sandalwood and to me those flowers are all flowers of romance even their names are to me beautiful just like this perfume is. It is a beautiful soft scent but yet you know it is a scent of richness you know immediately it is a perfume of quality. I do not like the chemically smells of some cheaper perfumes which is one reason I love this perfume so much as when you smell it yourself you will smell the individual smells of the flowers which were used to make

I will review this product by giving my own personal experience of it! If you want to see which are the top, heart and base notes and all the technical stuff then I suggest you look it up on the dior website - it's not my place here.Firstly let me say that I am not a perfume addict. Far from it. I've tried samples of a lot of perfumes before and none of them seemed 'me'. However a couple of times I'd smelt Poison fragrances in the shops and each time I liked them. However I find it hard to tell in shops as often the place stinks too much for you to tell one perfume from the rest!I smelt this perfume, and for the first time I felt that irresistable pull that I wanted to take that perfume home.

The initial spray bursts with strong jasmine notes, with undertones of white musk. After several minutes, the perfume opens up into the gardenia, orange blossom and white amber, softening into a somewhat powdery quality, but remaining dominated by jasmine. After just a couple of hours Pure Poison fades to a soft, musky jasmine that is barely noticeable. Pure Poison’s powerful jasmine notes lend the fragrance an oriental floral flavour, and Pure Poison is sensual and seductive, sophisticated and mysterious. It definitely feels like a wintry, evening perfume. I do wish it lasted a bit better, but it's a truly beautiful scent that's one of my favourites.

It has such a lovely sophisticated smell. A lot of my perfumes have a more fruity/flowery smell, which is nice occasionally, but sometimes it's nice to smell a bit more grown up. Arrived in fantastic time, well wrapped and well handled, with a gorgeously attractive bottle. Highly recommended.

One of my absolute favourite contemporary perfumes. This oozes subtle sophistication and class with its terrific notes of gardenia and sandalwood coming up particularly strongly on my skin. A little goes a long way and you'll be sure to turn heads with it.

I find myself unable to review this perfume myself as I am (a) a man and find the product a little effeminate and (b) I have little or no sense of smell. I can say, however, that my wife seemed very pleased with it when given it for Christmas.

Love this perfume it’s a strong scent that lasts a long time so even though it is expensive it’s good valve for money as a little goes a long way a small amount lasts on me all day and drawers plenty of compliments.

To me perfume is perfume but my wife likes it and it was good value at the priceBut it does seem a strange name for a perfume , It wouldn't sound right asking for pure poison to give to my wife !!

It is what it is, simply Dior. If you couldn't think of a present for your loved ones this is the perfect gift for any occasion. Recommend. The best perfume ever.
