I was a little worried as I was installing this 16GB RAM stick with a 4GB RAM stick at the same time in my Acer Nitro 5 as I thought that because there is such a big difference in the memory size that it might not work well. Although it has turned out to work perfectly. As long as the speed of both of the RAM sticks is the same and both of them are DDR4 you should be fine installing them at the same time. Both of my sticks are DDR4, and 2666 MT/s but are different brands and there was absolutely no trouble. If you have different speed sticks they still should work but the stick with the higher speed will slow down its performance to match the speed of your slower stick.

Crucial's website has a useful tool where you can enter your model number and it'll show you everything they have that's compatible with your system. I recommend using it if you are not sure of the type you need.I used their tool. It said this was the ram for my system so I came back here and purchased it.I opened my laptop, installed the additional ram, turned it back on, and that was all I needed to do.Everything just worked and the performance increase is quite noticeable - for a relatively cheap upgrade.My laptop is the Asus FX505DY FWIW.

Great price, arrived on time (next day on Prime) easy to install and has made a MASSIVE improvement to the running of my Lenovo 310 laptop. Started with 8Gb ddr4 which was struggling with editing photos in Lightroom and Photoshop. I simply removed one bank of 4Gb ram and inserted the 16Gb in it's place. Switched on and wow! With 20Gb ram the difference in speed is amazing! Highly worthwhile if you can't afford a new laptop. The bottleneck in my system is now the hdd, which I intend to replace with a ssd recently purchased.

I have a 8gb laptop and I brought this ram stick to be able to play more intensive triple AAA games that would need more the 8gb. And this ram is was more then enough. The 2666mhz was defiantly fast enough to keep up with most demanding games. Also it took me like 15 minutes to install the RAM is and most of it is screwing and unscrewing the laptop. So overall I would suggest this RAM stock to anyone and everyone who wants extra RAM for any specific reason. At a reasonable price

2nd time I've ever felt the need to upgrade Ram on a Pc and last time it was free.This was super easy to fit (in my laptop) and my device did all the configuration updates with little hassle.Initially I thought "This seems slower than expected" but discovered my hdd was at fault, a defrag later and all is smoothly does it.Definitely seen a better functionality when using multiple programs and it's definitely a little bit faster than before.A worthwhile investment.

Bought to increase new Lenovo E590 from 8mb to 16mb. The laptop uses 50% of RAM just to be switched on, so 8mb will struggle when I have 25+ internet tabs open, plus email etc. 16mb makes it so much smoother.I've used Crucial memory for 15+ years in all laptop and desktop builds/upgrades. It's just good quality and never had an issue.If you don't know which RAM you need, use the scanner option from Crucial and it will tell you exactly what you need.

Adding more ram if possible is the best thing anyone can do to a computer or a Laptop but DIY can be a bit awkward if you do not know what you are doing , I does give it a kick in the pants going from 4gb to 8 gb or further 16gb in this case up to 32gb gives amazing speed in more ways than one . but i suppose after a few days it would possibly be acceptable in the use of the machine and you will get used to it. what a kick though.

I bought 32GB of this ram for my new Acer Nitro 5 AN515-42 Gaming Notebook, it was so easy to install and it has given the notebook a major performance bump, as it only came with 8GB of ram installed, it was ordered from amazon warehouse so was a bit cheaper than normal but i cant fault the quality of the product, i can now use my notebook to render videos for upload to youtube

Arrived quickly, easy to install even for a clueless pc person like me (there's a YouTube video for this laptop model to help). The laptop originally came with 8GB RAM (4GB soldered and 4GB removable) so replaced the 4GB with 16GB making 20GB in total. That along with the laptop's default SSD makes the laptop handle multiple tasks with no lag. Highly recommended purchase.

The memory was easy to install thanks to a well-known video website and good documentation provided from Crucial.A definite speed increase was achieved by installation and the ram has been put to good use for multitasking activities.Would definitely buy from this manufacturer in the future and the products are well made and packaged in a sensible and secure way.

Very Fast. less number of chip means faster RAM and more reliable, the best bang for your bucks. Older version has at least 8 chips for 16Gb. This one is 4, means 4 Gb each chip. Newest epitaxy technology in Micron Labs is amazing. It has high capacity per chip and dual ranks. Faster than single rank for sure and less problematic since only have 4 chips one side

I upgraded 2 laptops with this. one had 2 4gb 2666 sodim. The other 8gb, 2400 sodim. With this as the primary in one and the other 4gb - no windows test memory errors. With a 8gb 2400 primary in the other and 4gb 2666 in the other, no windows memory test errors. A bit lucky but fantastic. However, it does seem to play well with other manufacturer SODIMs.

Recently bought a laptop that only came with 4gb of ram so it was a bit lacking.Did the crucial memory scan and matched what I needed with the pre-installed ram which oddly enough is integrated on my laptop.Popped the back off the laptop and pot this little stick in and hey presto 8gb of ram now showing and laptop a bit more responsive so all good.

Upgraded Sons Dell Laptop from 4gb upto 16gb after checking compatibility on the Crucial website. Only complication was needing to disconnect the bios battery so would clear the CMOS , prior to doing that the laptop wouldnt boot back up - which did cause a momentary 'panic' of if was compatible or if the Cards were DOA.. But that was soon resolved..
