I bought this 32GB kit to install in a Mac Mini 2018. Considering the outrageous price that Apple charges for RAM upgrades, I ordered the base RAM configuration at 8GB and thought I’d have a go at upgrading it myself. It took me a little while to get around to, but the RAM seems to work well and the user experience is much better with 32GB compared to the stock 8GB. With 8GB installed, it did hang from time to time but now it’s very smooth. I run some windows programs via parallels and have now dedicated 8GB to the virtual machine. With several windows 10 and Mac applications running, I’m left with about 10GB free so I would recommend anyone wanting to run applications through a VM,get 32GB as 16GB may not give as smooth an experience. The RAM replacement was a little bit tricky, just because the screws are so small. Definitely use a magnetic screw driver. Other than that, it’s not particularly difficult, just a bit fiddly. Just watch a couple of youtube videos a few times and there’s not actually too much to it. The best video I found was from OWC youtube channel. The video was the clearest showing the dainty screws and plugs more clearly.

I bought this Crucial (8GB) memory to upgrade my Dell Inspiron 5570 laptop which I have owned for just under 2 years now. It came with 8GB of SK Hynix DDR4 memory, this was enough memory for me when I bought the laptop but as I started using more complex software and playing a couple of games I started to notice slow-downs so I decided to upgrade to a total of 16GB.Upgrading your memory isn't as daunting as you may have thought, going over to Crucial's website allows you to use their memory & storage compatibility checker either by scanning your computer or you can select your computer manually to find 100% compatible memory.Alternatively you can use CPU-Z to find out the current specifications of your RAM and compare that to memory on Amazon. This product was very easy to install, usually you can do this by just taking the back cover off your laptop, locating the RAM sots and inserting you new RAM - easy!Overall, I am very impressed with this product and I have not had any problems with it yet and I doubt I will as Crucial is a very well-respected and reputable brand when it comes to memory and storage products.

As I am an utter mingebag I spent £198 on a FreeDOS HP 255 G6, mainly because it was £198 for a brand new lappy without the gopping horror that is Windows on it.Fast forward to the point in time (now-ish...) that I decided to upgrade the RAM; as prices and specifications are confusing, to say the least, all I knew was that I needed DDR4 SODIMM, 4GB already installed, running at 1833mhz, and I knew I had a spare slot, so I thought I'd kill two birds with one stone and get some RAM running at 2400mhz as the motherboard seems to support it.Having ordered and installed these, I subsequently discovered that my laptop was running perfectly fine with these, except still at 1833mhz and as I've alluded to this in my review headline cannot be easily overclocked without a massive deal of faffing around, if at all, with which I can't really be bothered. That being said, my system still works, is running a bit faster (twice the memory now...) with a matched pair of RAMS.In conclusion, a purchase I didn't need to make, but the product is perfectly acceptable and any shortcomings are entirely of my own making.

If like me you wanted to a ‘cheaper’ Mac computing experience, you got the Mac Mini 2018. Purchasing on Black Friday and with a work discount I bagged myself a bargain. What I didn’t bag, was more RAM. 8GB in 2019 is definitely not enough. But following a YouTube video online and with a T6 and T9 screwdriver this Mac flies. Installation into the RAM slots is a little fiddly, and if you’ve never messed with a computer before, I would probably give it a miss. (Be wary of the LED connector light on your MM and the WiFi antenna reconnection once you’ve slid in your new RAM.Having said that. Installation went perfectly and this machine feels all the better for it. If you plan on driving 4/5K monitors from your 2018 MM,32 GB is a must.I’ve been steadily watching the price come down and I’d say £160 for 32GB is a steal - at the time of writing you won’t any cheaper from a quality brand.

Really easy to install memory, just check via the "About this Mac" page for instructions and confirmation of what memory type your computer takes. They come in a stiff blister pack, so they are well protected in transitI was pleased to note that I did not need any special tools to install in my 27" iMac 2017I did read a note on another post that is matters as to what slots you put different pairs of memory, so if you are having difficulty in re-starting your computer, just check which slots they are in, I think I put these into slots 2 and 4, with the original 2 x 4Gb chips in slots 1 and 3 - but check with the manufacturer if you have issues because this memory definitely works. There are other reviews which say which slots they have put them in, depending on the model year of the computer.

It arrived in simple transparent plastic packaging. Followed instructions on how to install the RAM into my iMac from the Apple website. Make sure you follow the section for the correct model. After restarting my Mac, screen remained dark few seconds longer than usual and the loading screen was also slower. This is normal as the RAM is being initialised. When the machine eventually started, I tested out various apps e.g. photoshop, GarageBand etc and they all ran noticeably smoother. The other test I carried out was to run Windows X on Parallels. On 8Gb RAM it was sluggish. With 24GB RAM it runs as smoothly as if I had run it via Bootcamp. Games which previously were unplayable ran smoothly. For the price, it is amazing value for what it can do for your Mac.

These 2 crucial ddr4 ram successfully work together with my previous 2 Samsung 2400Mhz DDR4 RAM in my DELL precision 7520 workstation to form 32GB of RAM. But I had to experiment with which slots they go into to get them working together because when I simply add these Crucial RAM to the empty C,D slots, the laptop indicated that 'invalid memory installed' (battery indicator LED flashing 2 amber followed by 5 white light). In the end, I installed the RAM in a way that A and D slots are a pair while B and C are a pair, then the system successfully booted up which was magical. I did know that the slots have some certain pairing pattern though. The system reports 32GB ram in total without any problem. The Crucial Ram has a response time of CL17.

Very nice product. Works as its supposed to. Make sure you get a compatible stick for your laptop/PC. Its quite fast also, noticed significant improvment over my original 4Gb laptop. Also make sure you double check your original sticks speed, I didn't (im a real noob when it comes to this stuff, not much experience) and as such the RAM speed/frequency (Mhz for the module i had was 1300mhz or so, while this is 2400mhz) was down clocked to the slower stick speed which sucks. So, make sure you research properly (use CPU-Z or something) and dont make the mistake I did....eitherway it still works so its fine for me.

This was definitely worth the money. I have a 2017 Dell Inspiron 13 5000 2in1 with the backlit keyboard, it was becoming so slow and unbearable. It had 4GB of ram and a hdd. first thing I done was uninstall google chrome, that alone sped up start up time then I added an extra 4GB RAM so I would have 8GB. That made the laptop feel much faster! After that I thought its able to be faster so I purchased a WD 2.5inch internal SATA SSD to replace the hdd. I now have VERY fast laptop, altogether I spent just over £50 on RAM and an SSD, now compared to spending £800+ on a new laptop it obviously made sense, great buy!

My laptop memory arrived promptly, was packaged enough to protect it (RAM held in a robust plastic case itself in a small Jiffy bag) and was clearly labelled.I rate Crucial very highly, having purchased components for at least 20 years and I’ve never had a problem with the kit. Upgrading my HP laptop was a fiddle but I don’t hold the memory provider responsible for this. In fact, the clear information Crucial provide online ensures you get the right part for the system. I have now doubled the amount of RAM for less than £30. I shudder to think what I’d need to pay the manufacturer to achieve the same.

It was easy to install, I forgot to disconnect the battery but luckly didn't have any issues.Once I restarted the Dell Xps I got a bios notification of the memory being changed and the system did a test to see if it's compatible. After this step I didn't see that message again and system worked perfectly.I use the laptop for Lightroom and Photoshop and it's always using 16gb ram, rarely going over. Did some speed test before and after and it's not a big difference. Maybe it wasn't the best upgrade for foto editing, I just wanted to make it future proof. The next step is to get the 2TB ssd :D

My Dell XPS 15 9550 is almost 5 years old now, but it is still a great machine!Having said that, I was having some memory issues as my laptop had 16GB and lately, I had to run a few Docker containers locally that pushed the memory to the limit.I contacted Dell and bought 32GB of original Dell memory but that had a few issues in my model and I ended up returning the RAM.I then purchased these and have been using them for the last couple of months with no issues at all (I have even successfully ran the thorough memory test). It gave new life to my laptop and I couldn't be happier!

Upgraded my HP Pavilion 14-al015na laptop from 8GB memory to 16GB. Very easy to install. If not sure how to remove the laptop base cover have a look on YouTube there are a few excellent videos which show you how to do it. I purchased a small toolkit for laptops and mobile phone maintenance, I would recommend doing this to avoid doing any damage to the laptop case, the cost of these toolkits are only about £10.00.I use Adobe Photoshop & Premiere elements for photo and video editing, this software now starts up much quicker with the 16Gb (2 * 8GB) memory installed.

I’ve given this 5⭐️ for ease of installation (actually, taking the Mac apart was not hard but took 20 minutes, and you need a good light, YouTube on an ipad, the proper tools, an anti-static wristband, and a steady hand). I’m marking the fact that the memory boards themselves are drop in ... once I’d got to the stage of having £1300 of new computer in bits all over the kitchen table.VFM? Sure. 5⭐️ again. This would have cost £600 if Apple had done this. Yup. That’s why I was prepared to dissemble my new i7 Mini. Saved me about £450.To Crucial! ?

This is the first ram i ever brought and it is brilliant, i was able to upgrade my computer for 20 pounds, whilst if i brought it from the manufacturer it would have cost and extra 50. It is extremely fast and i haad absolutely no problem installing it. If you want to know which exact ram to get it is very easy go to uk.crucial.com and just put in you device model or the website will scan your laptops themselves, a link will take you to amazon and show which type is best for your PC. Very Easy. Great value. Highly recommend.
