This is a very cool looking pen. There is no debating that fact. The clip has a cool looking Ferrari shield that shows when the pen is clipped inside a shirt pocket. The pen has the solid quality feel normally found with Cross Pens. It's very narrow, so those with large hands/fingers may find it a little awkward to use. I love the design and body of the pen but I'm no fan of the writing. The ink flow on this pen feels scratchy and is inconsistent. I also occasionally get stoppages in the flow while writing. That's not what I would expect from a pen of this caliber and price. If the ink flow were better, it would definitely be a five-star pen for me. However, as cool as it looks,

The Cross Classic Century ballpoint pen is a great writing instrument all by itself. The addition of the Ferrari Scuderia insignia on the clip of the pen enhances the beauty of the pen and sends a message that you are a Ferrari fan, owner, or aspire to become an owner. If the reason for getting the pen is that you aspire to become a Ferrari owner, then this pen can serve as a daily reminder or incentive of that goal. The pen looks fabulous in any event and would make a great gift.

How could one not like a Ferrari - the brand. Having a pen of the Ferrari brand definitely is a boost to my professional image. The matte design with the Ferrari logo is a nice accessory for the office desk. And yes the ballpoint writes well too.
